"This hotel is tip-top. Nestled in a small, beautiful town, one is struck by the cleanliness of the hotel and the welcoming friendliness of its staff. Free water in the rooms, which are tastefully decorated to reflect the town‘s gold mining heritage. The dining room with a full , varied menu, is superb. The breakfast a wonderful variety of meats, scrammed eggs, sausage, rolls, etc, etc., just a delicious protein source to fuel the day. The staff is just beyond friendly, courteous and helpful. I just really cannot recommend this hotel too much. It’s just a great place!!!"

"We (my hubby and my mom) stayed the last 2 weeks in May in this hotel. I had booked it because I needed an indoor swimming pool for my mom which is her highlight of the year. We loved our stay. The rooms (1 double 1 single) were clean, nice and quiet. The breakfast buffet was excellent with plenty of choices. Swimmingpool was great and we had the chance on 3 days to also use the Saunas which we loved. We did not book the half board as I prefer to try different restaurants and cuisines rather than eating at the same place all the time. We ended up eating a la carte at the hotel quite often. The food was good with the exception of 1 dish on 1 day. The hotel is very quiet and the surrounding invites to hiking tours which we did. The staff is lovely and helpful. Be prepared there is nothing in the village or close by in case you want shops or restaurants or discos etc. It is in the middle of nowhere so to speak. But shops or other restaurants or smaller cities are just 20-30min away and so is the Edersee in case you want to take a boat ride. If you have a car there is plenty to explore. I would love to come back one day to enjoy and join the yoga and horseback riding. This time the vacation was solely for my mom and to spend quality time with her and walking in fresh air in nature."

Sauerland Stern Hotel

"Arrived without a booking and was able to get a family room. First room they gave us was not made up. Second room they gave us was dirty gooey stuff on wardrobe, splashes up the walls and around the light switch .No coffee or tea. Housekeeping came and said, they had lots of parties. He said he would report it. Cleaned the marks stocked the coffee and left. For the price of the hotel, this is not what we expected. Our friends room was also a family room and not made up . He had to go down to reception 2 imes over various issues. I can't recommend this hotel and I would suggest you cook elsewhere. I gave it 3 stars because the view was ok and there's free parking. We also got a little welcome gift of cards and some dice which was a nice touch."

"Πολύ θερμά υποδεχτήκαμε από την Ad και Katja. Όμορφο διαμέρισμα με μπαλκόνι. Καθαρό και υγιεινό με καλά κρεβάτια. Βασιλικό πρωινό με διάφορα φρέσκα ψωμί. Το σκυλί ήταν επίσης πολύ ευπρόσδεκτο. Καλές εγκαταστάσεις περπάτησης στο άμεσο περιβάλλον, εστιατόρια και σούπερ μάρκετ σε απόσταση περπάτησης, καλή διαμονή και σίγουρα πορνό για να ξαναπάς εδώ. "

"Everything about this hotel was excellent, from the wonderful swimming pool complex with a view to the castle, to the knowledgeable and friendly serving staff, breakfast to die for – so much choice and quality, wonderful evening meals, a fantastic location. One could tell it was a well-run hotel with trained staff. We enjoyed the first three days of our German holiday there, and wished we had booked longer – thou our waistlines probably said not! At 178 Euros for B & B it’s not cheap, but very worthwhile. The Edersee area is worth visiting. We’d love to return."

"Good hotel, come here for 25 years. Only in the last years we have overloosted because Willingen changed in the weekend to a summit for associations etc. After reading the last review we were a little booked. The assessment was not promising. Well, first of all, experience itself. In all those years we came here, there has not changed much, nor does it need, because it is emulating German mouthfulness. The staff is very friendly and helps you everywhere. You must have a little patience, but we don't have any hurry. The reception is very busy with bookings and then the friendliness is unfortunately again. The work pressure will be high. Breakfast buffet is fine. Everything is there you can always ask if something is wrong. For small children there is not so much to do in the hotel. There is a indoor and outdoor pool and a playground. The subtropical pool Lagunen and iceway are at walking distance. The summer roofing job is 5 minutes with the car, with enough to do for the children, sometimes it's a problem to park nearby, but somewhere further on the hill is a place to find. In general, I can recommend the visit to Gobels Landhotel Willingen. Enjoy the rest and perfect service.proma"
