"I was extremely satisfied with my stay in Kumamoto this time. Especially during the off-season, the value for money is outstanding. It's truly a hotel where it's hard to find any significant flaws. The location is almost perfect. It's right to the JR Kumamoto Station exit, so there's absolutely no stress even with luggage. The hotel is connected to AMU PLAZA Kumamoto, with a shopping mall downstairs, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. There's also a tram station within 100 meters. Whether you're taking the Shinkansen to other cities or the tram to explore Kumamoto city, the transportation is extremely convenient. This location is especially comfortable for those with a lot of luggage or those using Kumamoto as a transfer point in Kyushu. I personally found the room rate during the off-season to be excellent value for money. For this location, facilities, and service level, it's definitely worth it. The hotel also has a public bath and a sauna. It's worth noting that the public bath is not a real natural hot spring, and its size is a bit small, so it might get crowded when there are many people. However, for a city hotel right next to a JR station, having this amenity at all is a huge plus. It's very relaxing to soak in it after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast is buffet-style, and I personally found the variety to be quite rich. In addition to conventional Japanese and Western breakfast items, you can also find some local Kumamoto and Kyushu specialties, so you won't be eating the exact same things every day even if you stay for a few days. Overall, I was quite satisfied. The service was particularly impressive this time. The front desk staff were polite and enthusiastic, to the point of being almost 'excessive.' They would greet me proactively every time I passed by, and they were very serious about helping with any issues, showing excellent service awareness. It wasn't the kind of mechanical politeness that comes from just following standard procedures. The room itself was also almost flawless. It was clean and comfortable overall, the facilities were relatively new, and the space was good for a Japanese city hotel. The only notable issue I found was actually a very minor detail: some windows only had Roman blinds, not blackout curtains, and the gaps between the curtains were a bit large, making it impossible to fully block out the light. When the sun came out in the morning, light would shine directly through the middle, which could easily wake up light sleepers or those sensitive to light. I suggest the hotel improve this detail in the future. Overall, it was a very satisfying hotel during my Kyushu trip. The location, transportation, shopping, room, service, public bath, and breakfast basically had no significant shortcomings. Especially during the off-season when prices are right, the value for money is excellent. I would definitely prioritize staying here again if I return to Kumamoto."

"This hotel is right in the heart of town, with the famous cream puff shop directly outside. The intersection always has people sitting and enjoying sweets. The town is very tourist-friendly, with many benches along the road to rest your feet. There are even dedicated pavilions and foot baths for visitors to relax in. The private onsen on the upper floor is fantastic, with several facing a bamboo forest, which is incredibly relaxing. There's also a standing bath, with steps leading down, which is quite interesting. To get to the hotel's public male and female baths, you cross a small bridge within the hotel. Below the bridge is a stream, and sitting on the bamboo chairs on the bridge offers a unique view. However, the female private onsen requires climbing many steps, which is a bit inconvenient when wearing slippers. Dinner was served in the room, but the disposable chopsticks and wet wipes detracted from the experience."

"The hotel is clean and fascinating, quite near city centre with easy walking access (within 15-20min to all places). Kumamoto has so much to offer - food, nightlife vibes, and more, especially Kumamon the cute lovely mascot of the city!"

"The hotel is nice and cosy. Room is clean and of a nice size. It’s located in a shopping centre with nice amenities around. Parking is within the shopping centre and public and you have to take the shopping centre parking ticket to the hotel reception when checking in and paying the required fee to the hotel reception after that you can move in and out without requiring to pay again When checking in, do take note to go the the hotel entrance on the 2nd floor of the shopping centre before taking the lift to the 14th floor; which is where the hotel reception is. Checking in and out after that is seamless Love the stay."

"Having lived in Japan for over ten years, I have to commend this hotel. It far exceeded my expectations. 1. Right outside the door is the largest local bus terminal, making it incredibly convenient to get to the airport, Aso, Amakusa, and Fukuoka. 2. The price is half or even less than half of surrounding hotels. I originally had no expectations, thinking it would just be a cheap place to crash. 3. While the hallway decor looks a bit dated, it perfectly aligns with the MUJI団地 (housing complex) design philosophy. You even use a traditional key to open the door. 4. Although the room has an old-style Japanese business hotel decor, it's exceptionally clean and very spacious. The room design is well-thought-out, making it comfortable and secure to use. 5. Both check-in and check-out at the front desk were handled with meticulous care and polite, professional service. This is something even much more expensive hotels I've stayed at elsewhere often fail to deliver. 6. I stayed here for five consecutive nights and had a great experience. I would definitely choose this hotel again for future family trips."

"It is the best place for hot springs. Parking is also extremely convenient. I would love to visit again with my family in the future, and I am very grateful for the detailed explanations from the staff member who speaks excellent Korean. You can see the river from the room, and when you open the window, you can hear the gentle sound of the water flowing. The building is unique, and just walking along the surrounding trails is a relaxing way to detoxify. I highly recommend the outdoor hot springs when it is cold, and the large public bath is great as it offers a variety of temperatures. I booked for one night, but I didn't have enough time to explore all the facilities and the surrounding scenery. On my next visit, I would like to book for two nights to look around more leisurely."

"The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful, and the location is perfect for exploring the city. A special mention goes to the lovely entrance area featuring Kumamon — the giant bear mascot at the lobby is adorable and makes for a fun photo spot right when you walk in!"

"This hotel boasts excellent service. In the evenings, they offer drinks and complimentary rice soup. The large onsen bath is exceptionally clean! The pillows are readily available and very comfortable. They also have laundry, dryers, and billiards facilities. The hotel is new and doesn't use contactless cards; you just use a password."

"The hotel is obe of the biggest in the area. We were fetched by the hotel’s van bexause it was raining. But it is walkable from the bus stop. There is free coffee and snacks in the lobby area. And also free beer in the bar. The onsens are very big and clean. Both public and private ones are super nice and clean. The private onsen did not have towels so make sure to bring your own. Rooms are big and clean with the view of the creek or river. Staffs are nice and approachable"
