"This Showa-era business hotel is right outside Matsue Station's South Exit. The lobby is sunken, which might be a bit inconvenient for those with heavy luggage. The room facilities are quite old, there's no outlet by the bed, and power is activated by an old-fashioned key card system (or rather, a key). The large public bath on the top floor wasn't open, and the elevator is also very small. When you go out, you need to hand your key to the front desk, and when you return, you show a card with your room number to retrieve your key and meal voucher. They offer free breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is a buffet with limited options, and for dinner, you can choose between a curry set meal or a daily Japanese-style set. All in all, for just over 200 a night, including breakfast and dinner, what more could you ask for? If it doesn't mind my budget, I won't mind its age."

"Old and famous ryokan in town, with old and very nice Japanese garden with its own history. This hotel provide a very large outdoor public hot bath pond which both men and women could use together. Nearby the hotel is a drainage canal with cherry blossom trees along both sides made a wonderful view."

"Suitenkaku was our first stay in a Ryokan. Those who want to visit Tottori, Izumo and Sakaiminato will find Matsue well located, while the Ryokan is next door to the Ichibata railway deserving the Izumo Taisha. The room was renovated and very spacious, offering a direct view to the lake. Above all, the staff was absolutely friendly and helpful. Real Omotenashi ! We are fully satisfied with our stay. "I couldn't get a room at my usual hotel so I stayed here. It's right in front of Izumo Station and the shuttle bus to Izumo Airport is right in front of it. There are convenience stores nearby, Seven and Lawson, so you won't have any trouble having dinner at a nearby izakaya. The room was also very clean. There was a morning newspaper service in the elevator hall. There aren't many long-term stays, so there is no laundry, so I went to a coin laundry about a 5-minute walk away. They do dry cleaning. The only thing that bothered me about my stay was the shower curtain! It smelled like damp laundry, so I couldn't relax in the bathtub. I think they're busy, so even if it's impossible to dry it properly every time, I wish they could at least make it possible to change it. Other than that, it was really good. Also, you take the amenities you need from the lobby up, but It said that you can only have one per stay. I'm a woman, and I don't do much skin care, so one pouch of lotion and cream was enough for me to use morning and night, but I think it wouldn't be enough for someone who takes care of things properly. However, I realized that the location in front of the station is really convenient, so I'd like to visit again if I can make a reservation.^_^"
