"Very nice I would like to come here again and spend a bit more time. I did two nights and three days but maybe next time I would like to stay 3 to 4 nights to explore the city because I was only staying in the hotel. They have a nice hot spring. I had a problem for my skin but going to a hot spring few times my skin become better and the service was excellent. The staff are very nice and polite. Also professional Food was good. I really love the experience what I had here. I recommend other people as well especially who have a children small or family. You can use this hotel."

"This hotel exceeded our expectations!!! The view was amazing, the food was absolutely delicious (Did not look like hotel food at all!!! 9-10 courses!), the service was great (Provided free service from bus stations to the hotel, gives midnight snacks and takes your dinner up to your room, and serves you each course) and most importantly, the onsen’s were AMAZING. If you booked a big room including the onsen, there would be a foot bath included, and if you booked a small room without the onsen, you could always go down to the public onsen which was just as good!!! Overall, best hotel we stayed at jn Japan!"

"The hotel is perfectly located. There is a train station and an amusement park within walking distance. There are shops nearby. The room is very clean and cozy, and the staff is friendly. Coffee is served free of charge at the reception downstairs. We managed to see fuji from the window of our room. The staff is very friendly, the onsen is clean and full of necessary care products. I would especially like to mention the breakfasts-they are simply excellent, especially the French bread toasts from the picture-just bliss! I would love to come back again"

"Hotel Mt Fuji has the best views of Lake Yamanaka and Mt Fuji. It is located high up on a hill and looks down over the lake. Shuttle bus service to and from Yamamakako iriguchi was excellent. The staff in 7 eleven kindly called for me to be picked up on arrival and again on the second day of my stay. The breakfast was the best in the past 2 weeks of my trip. Japanese breakfast is so delicious. The omelette chef was such a perfectionist and each was made perfectly. Staff were particularly helpful and the public baths , there are 2 different locations ,are excellent, both very different. The hotel itself is very old and dated and could do with a renovation. However saying that, the room was very spacious and comfortable. I loved being able to open the window which had an insect screen and have fresh air. The only thing I did not like is that you could not wear your yukata to breakfast. No big deal really. I would highly recommend Hotel Mt Fuji."

"The open-air balcony facing Mount Fuji was the highlight of this trip! The hotel's facilities and amenities are top-notch and refined, with furniture, bedding, and toiletries all meeting a high resort standard. The rooms are fully carpeted, with soft, adjustable lighting, and the cleanliness is professional. The room was spacious and comfortable, and we also enjoyed the indoor onsen (the operating hours were quite long, and there was a sauna inside). After soaking, there were vending machines selling ice cream and Hokkaido milk. Two yukata sets were provided in the room. The bathroom lighting was excellent, a flat light rather than an overhead light, which was convenient for makeup. The hotel also has outdoor tennis courts and ping-pong facilities, and the lobby sells local specialties and souvenirs. The hotel's shuttle car service was polite and efficient. Within walking distance, there's a Sushiro and a Lawson convenience store. A very satisfying choice – highly recommended!"

"The hotel's location is unbeatable, and the rooftop hot springs are a definite plus! Breakfast also has some unique dishes. Those are the pros. As for the cons, the hotel is a bit old, and the Wi-Fi is incredibly slow. Check-out is at 10 AM, and there are no blackout curtains. The last hotel shuttle to the bus terminal is at 10:10 AM, which essentially forces you to check out early. Breakfast only starts at 7:40 AM and finishes by 9:15 AM! Overall, it's not great value for money. The price of around 2000 is ridiculously high; 800 would be more reasonable."

"I really liked the hotel overall
1. The staff was very nice and knew some english so conversation was possible. Fast response times in chat is good service
2. Breakfast was really good
3. Location is very good, got bus stops around the hotel and you can use google maps to know which buses to take, when they come. I used suica card on apple wallet or on app on the scanner when boarding the bus to get around. The bus which is like 5 minutes walk can take you to lake kawaguchiko, gotemba premium outlets, and more. You also got lawson within 4 minutes walk which is a pretty cool convenience store that also has things like katsu sandwiches and cheeseburgers for snacks, ogino a grocery store within 6 min walk, and some other soup restaurants like udon and hoto noodles
4. Close to the lake pier which is great for biking around Lake Yamanaka which was probably my favorite part of visiting besides the local food it is what I would say life changingly beautiful
5. The onsen which is inside the hotel was very relaxing and nice, and you can put cold water into it if its too hot
Now i haven't been to other hotels around the area so I cant compare but I would definitely come again"

"This hotel is truly outstanding! The rooms are in a classic Japanese style (perfect for anyone wanting an authentic traditional Japanese hotel experience). You can see Mount Fuji right from your window. The room was incredibly spacious, quiet, and clean – easily the biggest room I stayed in during my trip to Japan. The hotel facilities are excellent; there's even a hot spring bath on the first floor you can enjoy. It's just a few minutes' walk to Lake Yamanaka's riverside and about a ten-minute walk to the bus stop. If you want to cycle around the lake, the hotel offers bike rentals, and they're much cheaper than renting elsewhere. The friendly and enthusiastic staff at the front desk greeted every guest warmly and went out of their way to help with any questions. All in all, it was an incredibly comfortable night's stay in Japan!"

"One thing that’s best - Mount Fuji view when the weather is good. It seemed like just right in front of you.
No matter from the room or the 4th floor restaurant where we had our breakfast or even the open rooftop.
Rooms was clean, top class in-room amenities provided, very good buffet breakfast with scenic view overlooking Mount Fuji and staffs were friendly and helpful. We got free parking in front of the hotel throughout our 2 nights stay.
There were so much you could do while staying at this hotel. Whether you want to enjoy the beautiful Mount Fuji with coffee brew in your room, or get discounted price + early entry to the amusement park right beside the hotel, or enjoy the onsen hot pool next to the hotel.
They even send us to the top of Fujiyama Tower complimentary and there you’ll have a stunning view of Mount Fuji and the amusement park, plus you’re able greet to the riders of the king of coaster when it pass by.
Highly recommended!"

GGuest UserI stayed at Fujisan Station Hotel and found it quite convenient overall. The location is excellent, just across from Mt. Fuji Station, making it very easy to get around. Check-in was done with the staff and went smoothly. Free parking is available, which is a plus. There is no onsen and no complimentary bottled water, but there is a free ice machine in the dining area, along with vending machines for snacks and drinks. The water faucet is an old-style rotary type.
Breakfast starts at 7:00 AM, but food runs out quickly due to the large number of guests. The buffet includes scrambled eggs, grilled mackerel, rice, miso soup, salad, fresh milk, and granola. The small bread rolls and mini croissants were not very good. The twin room was clean, but the beds were quite firm and not very comfortable.

Bbrayden_foongIt was definitely an enjoyable and worthy experience of traditional ryokan with tatami and futon with the best view of Mt. Fuji from the room window! The hotel itself overlooks parts of Mt. Fuji with Lake Kawaguchiko, and we even added on dinner and breakfast during the stay! They are simply one of the best meals during the trips in Tokyo! The onsen is another bonus to enjoy while seeing the view of Mt Fuji, even though it is public hot spring which might be a culture shock. Definitely worth to try it out again to enjoy the traditional Japan vibes around Lake Kawaguchiko.

Xxuanxuan0824This place is highly recommended if you're just looking to relax and enjoy the scenery. However, it's not very convenient for independent travelers. There are no shops, no taxis, and no bicycles. Buses are also infrequent, making it really difficult to get around. The only upside is waking up to a view of Mount Fuji from your room. I'd suggest staying in the city; you can still see Mount Fuji from there and have easy access to transportation. Both breakfast and dinner were just okay.

SSimon.WI booked this hotel because the promotion made it seem luxurious, but the surroundings feel odd, almost like all the trees have been removed by purpose, littered with dry leaves and fallen branches. It feels dirty and poorly cared for. I was expecting a neatly landscaped area with grass and trees, but instead, the outside feels like a barren, lifeless space.
That said, the inside of the room looks very good. The accommodation consists of two separate large caravan‑style rooms. They are not very spacious, but they are sufficient for a family of four. One of the rooms has slightly less living space because it includes a larger bathroom, with a full‑size bathtub. This is something you rarely find in Tokyo, where most bathtubs are quite small, so this was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, we struggled with the bathtub controls as it was written in Japanese, we couldn't use it after all. Also, the heating system are all labeled in Japanese, and there were no clear instructions in English. As a result, we didn’t figure out how to use the heating until the second night. We stayed for two nights in total.
There is an outdoor spa area, which is interesting and enjoyable. We used it and found it quite good, although it is small. It works best for two people, three is a tight squeeze, and four would be uncomfortable. The sauna is decent and operates daily.
Breakfast is served at set times rather than as a buffet, likely because the hotel only has 14 rooms. Guests must choose a time slot, such as 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, 8:30. We chose 8:30.
Breakfast is a set menu rather than self‑service. Each morning includes a starter, a main dish, and some small item to finish, well enough for us. The first day was Japanese‑style, with a rice‑based dish. The second day was Western‑style, with a sandwich as the main course and fried eggs with pork belly. The food tasted good, but we would have appreciated more water. We did not ask for refills, as staff left the area after serving.
Finding the hotel is a bit difficult. The entrance sign is blocked by a car park sign, making it very easy to miss. You need to drive very slowly, or you will pass it without realising it. We spent several minutes searching before realising this was the place. Be prepared to see a car park with two signs, where one directly blocks the hotel’s entrance sign.

We booked this resort near Mount Fuji very late, and we were really worried because almost everything was already sold out. But it turned out to be one of the most wonderful stays we’ve ever had on any of our trips to Japan.
The resort has several staff members who speak Vietnamese, and they helped us so much. Every time we needed to go somewhere, the shuttle bus took us to the station—even the times when I requested it late without booking an hour in advance, they still tried their best to arrange a pickup. Their kindness truly showed how much they care about their guests. From the driver to the front desk to the restaurant staff, everyone was incredibly warm, friendly, and always smiling. They were genuinely adorable and made us feel so welcomed.
Our room was a huge surprise: a massive apartment-style space with four beds even though there were only two of us, plus two bathrooms. Everything was clean, cozy, and very comfortable. The resort is located in a large forest, so the moment you step inside, you can smell the gentle scent of pine wood everywhere. The atmosphere feels grounding and refreshing—as if the Earth itself is recharging you.
One of the best parts is that they have dedicated areas for pets. I got to play with some of the guests’ pets, and it was honestly such a sweet experience. Breakfast was delicious every morning, in a very authentic Japanese style. I went down for breakfast every day, and the dining area has a beautiful view of Mount Fuji—I even recorded some stunning videos there.
I never imagined I would be able to book a resort this amazing. It seems like it has been operating for many years, with a rustic and warm charm that I absolutely fell in love with. Down at the reception area, they also sell all kinds of Mount Fuji souvenirs. When you’re out sightseeing in the Fuji area, you tend to buy a lot of souvenirs and snacks, which makes your bags very heavy—but the resort sells everything right there. I compared the prices, and they were actually much cheaper than the tourist spots, so we bought all our gifts there. Super convenient!
I genuinely want to come back to this resort for future trips. It is one of the best places I have ever stayed, and I absolutely adore it. Highly, highly recommended.

1. The Mt. Fuji view was perfect. The cleanliness and condition of the facilities were absolutely fine, even exceeding expectations. It's much better than some older, traditional hotels with Mt. Fuji views, offering excellent value for money at this price point.
2. The hotel service was also great. From the front desk to the restaurant staff and the housekeepers, everyone offered service with a smile. Perhaps because it was the off-season, another couple checking in at the same time received a room upgrade. The hotel also provides a convenient shuttle service from Kawaguchiko Station.
3. The restaurant staff were very professional. While the sukiyaki for dinner wasn't a huge surprise, it was decent and had no flaws.
4. It's only a few hundred meters from Oishi Park, which is easily walkable. Compared to other attractions, it's a bit more niche, but the scenery is beautiful and the atmosphere is very pleasant.
Cons:
1. It's quite a distance from Kawaguchiko Station, making it a bit far from other attractions.
2. You can't see Mt. Fuji at night due to the lack of light (which isn't the hotel's fault).
3. All rooms are non-smoking, and the small open space in front of the hotel with Mt. Fuji views is also a non-smoking area. There's only a small designated smoking area at the back entrance of the hotel. As a smoker, it's a bit inconvenient, but completely understandable and acceptable.
4. Also, there are no convenience stores or supermarkets within walking distance of the hotel. The Oishi Store listed on Apple Maps is actually closed.
5. To reach the hotel, you have to walk up a relatively long slope. It can be a bit tiring if you're on foot, but once you're down the slope, you're right by Lake Kawaguchiko, and there are very few people.
Overall, the hotel is excellent. If you're staying with a partner, you can take a walk along Lake Kawaguchiko below the hotel. With Mt. Fuji right in front of you, the atmosphere is romantic and there are few people around. Highly recommended.

GGuest UserHotel Mt Fuji has the best views of Lake Yamanaka and Mt Fuji. It is located high up on a hill and looks down over the lake. Shuttle bus service to and from Yamamakako iriguchi was excellent. The staff in 7 eleven kindly called for me to be picked up on arrival and again on the second day of my stay. The breakfast was the best in the past 2 weeks of my trip. Japanese breakfast is so delicious. The omelette chef was such a perfectionist and each was made perfectly. Staff were particularly helpful and the public baths , there are 2 different locations ,are excellent, both very different. The hotel itself is very old and dated and could do with a renovation. However saying that, the room was very spacious and comfortable. I loved being able to open the window which had an insect screen and have fresh air. The only thing I did not like is that you could not wear your yukata to breakfast. No big deal really. I would highly recommend Hotel Mt Fuji.

All the staff are friendly and provide excellent service. The hotel also has onsen facilities, including separate male and female as well as private onsen. MMiketecWhen I booked, I double-checked with the hotel to confirm that the room would have a window directly facing Lake Kawaguchiko, as well as another window with a view of Mount Fuji. However, upon entering the room, I found there was only one window, and I had to crane my neck to catch a glimpse of Lake Kawaguchiko. The room next door (X11) clearly had one window directly facing the lake and another with a Mount Fuji view. Why weren't we given that room? We booked in early to mid-May, and we even arrived at the hotel before 4 PM on the day of check-in. On top of that, the bathroom in our room was ridiculously small; even an average-sized woman, let alone a man, would struggle to close the door once inside 😂.
This was also my first time staying at a Japanese onsen hotel where almost 80% of the staff were non-Japanese, which probably explains why most of the guests were Westerners 🤣. And it was also my first time at an onsen hotel where there were absolutely no skincare products in the onsen area. Were they perhaps so afraid of 'foreigners' misusing them that they stopped providing them altogether?? 🥹
