"Stayed for a week, had no problems. Beautiful hotel, rare green site in Tamel, air conditioner, hot water, Wi-fi and the lights are on even during blackouts, wonderful helpful staff who all speak good English. Could use a dehumidifier during monsoon season, but all in all the best hotel in the area for miles👍"

"The rooms are this hotel are very nice. The location is perfect. The service levels are very high. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. In particular, Monika and Besang in the restaurant, Sita and Binita for the cleaning service, and all the security staff. Overall, our stay here was very good. The breakfast is very good, with a nice variety. If I could suggest some improvements, it would be fresh pastries for breakfast and maybe some alternatives to cows milk such as oat or almond milk. The other thing is, the gym needs a total refresh. I recommend staying here. It is a very good offer overall. Thank you for giving us a pleasant stay."

"My room wasn't huge, but it was very clean. The staff were excellent, and they offer a free airport shuttle service – just contact them in advance, and they'll be waiting for you at the exit with a sign with your name on it. It's also very close to the airport. The next day when I checked out, I didn't have a taxi app, so the staff helped me call a car and even exchanged 100 RMB for me to pay for the taxi. After the taxi arrived, the staff helped me with my luggage all the way to the car. Highly recommend!"

Hotel Barahi Kathmandu was a very impressive hotel in that regard. From check-in to check-out, every staff member – at the front desk, in the restaurant, and from housekeeping – greeted me with natural smiles. It didn't feel like formal customer service because I was a 'guest,' but rather as if they were treating me as an individual. The hotel's location is also excellent. While it's within walking distance to the Thamel area, upon returning to the hotel, you find a calm space where you can forget the hustle and bustle of the city. It's a very convenient hotel for both sightseeing and staying. I also enjoyed breakfast every day. Beyond the variety of dishes, Nepali cuisine was also offered, which was great for a traveler like me to easily enjoy local flavors. On the other hand, there was noise in my room at night, and there was one day when I couldn't get enough rest. This was disappointing. However, what impressed me even more was the hotel staff's response afterward. They listened carefully to my concerns and addressed each issue without downplaying it. Their attitude conveyed a strong desire to 'improve the guest's stay.' During my travels, I pay close attention not only to the hotel's facilities but also to the people working there. No matter how grand the building, if the people aren't good, I wouldn't want to stay at that hotel again. Hotel Barahi Kathmandu was a hotel where I felt human warmth. Of course, there are always areas for improvement. But this hotel has an attitude of being willing to address those areas. That was of great value to me. That's why if I have the opportunity to visit Nepal again, I would choose this hotel once more. "Book this hotel at the very last minute as we reached Thamel earlier from our EBC Trek. This hotel is located at a corner of the back street. Just walk 100 steps and you will be able to reach the main street with cafes and restaurants, shops and money changer. Away from the traffic, my husband and I are able to have a peaceful sleep. The breakfast is simple and nice. Staff are attentive and friendly. Room is clean and hot water heater works perfectly well. Highly recommended if you likes boutique hotel."
