"I stayed here alone and had a very pleasant stay. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The location is a little far from the city center, so you will probably need to use Yandex to get around. One thing to keep in mind is that it can be difficult to find a Yandex taxi early in the morning. I recommend asking the front desk to arrange a taxi in advance. I paid 80,000 som from the hotel to the train station. Also, the hotel does not have a currency exchange service. The nearest option is the Hilton Regency across the street, but it takes around 30 minutes to walk there. One small thing to note is that there was no toothbrush in the room, so I had to ask the front desk for one. Overall, I had a comfortable stay and would recommend this hotel, especially if you don’t mind using taxis to get around."

"The staff were pleasant and friendly. A staff member was very helpful with transportation, many thanks to her! There are various dining options near the hotel, and Korzinka supermarket is a 20-minute walk away. The breakfast was tasty, and the selection was good. Drinking water was always available in the room. There was no refrigerator in the room, but a shared one was available at the reception. The room was on what seemed to be the third floor, and it was quiet. Downsides: - The brightly patterned carpet made it hard to see what was on the floor. I found someone else's pair of socks and stepped on a needle… - Minor point, but still: the electricity went out several times during the night, and the air conditioner rebooted with a noise. - Instead of a duvet, there was just a sheet."

"The hotel's location isn't right in the city center, but it's relatively close to the Samarkand railway station. Taking a taxi to attractions like Registan Square or Shah-i-Zinda takes only about ten minutes, so sightseeing is completely unaffected. The room is indeed small and a bit cramped, but it feels more comfortable than the photos on the booking page suggest—no disappointing ”photoshop vs. reality” gap. The shower water pressure is great, and the mattress has a nice firmness, making for a good night's sleep. Breakfast is average—filling, but nothing special. I was initially worried the room would be a letdown, but the actual experience exceeded expectations. Good value for money, and I would recommend it to travelers with a similar budget."

"This is probably one of the best hotels my husband and I have ever stayed in. Everything is wonderful, and you can feel it in the details – from the scent at the entrance to the high-quality tableware at breakfast. The service is impeccable, the cleanliness is excellent, and the breakfasts are amazing. I'd also like to highlight the convenient location. The outdoor pool is lovely, but in my opinion, there aren't enough sun loungers. The indoor spa area is good, but it would be even better if the pool was heated. The gym is also excellent. On my birthday, the hotel congratulated me with a festive dessert. The next day, before we checked out, some treats were brought to our room. They were already inside when we realized it was a mistake and the gift was meant for other guests. So, you could say they just dangled it in front of us and crushed all our hopes 😂. They could have left it as an apology! Oh well, we're not offended)) The hotel is superb, I highly recommend it!"

"I stayed at this hotel as a solo traveler and absolutely loved it. The host treats every guest with such warmth—he prepared a map of local attractions, happily shared recommendations, and made me feel right at home in the city. The hotel is spotlessly clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. I was especially thrilled with the shared kitchen, which is a rare find and super convenient. The cozy courtyard with its common area is a true oasis; you honestly won't want to leave the hotel. It's so easy to feel at home here. You can tell the interior was put together with love and attention to detail: a huge library, antiques, cozy touches, and spaces filled with warmth. The hotel is located in the historic center, within walking distance of the main sights. The streets can get a bit dark in the evening, but I felt completely safe and at ease. My solo trip was wonderful. I recommend staying here for at least 3-4 nights to leisurely take in the city and the hotel's unique atmosphere. I loved every bit of it and would gladly return again ☀️"

"My friend and I stayed at the Iskandar Hotel in Samarkand, and overall, it left a very pleasant impression. The hotel is new, clean, and cozy. The rooms are compact, but very nicely and stylishly decorated. I must make a special mention of the paintings and the tiles in the bathroom—you can really feel the national character of Samarkand and Uzbekistan; everything is done with great taste. On the downside, the shower drain didn't work very well, although the water didn't overflow onto the bathroom floor. Also, some kind of pump or other equipment would occasionally turn on during the day—about every 20 minutes. It was a bit noisy, but at night it was very quiet, as our windows faced the courtyard. The courtyard itself is nice and features a photo zone where you can take some great pictures. I also want to highlight the spa area, which has a large pool and a jacuzzi. Unfortunately, the sauna and hammam were not working. During the day, spa access costs 500,000 UZS per hour, and you can only use the area for free from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM. This was a bit confusing and disappointing, as we really wanted to relax in the spa during the day between our travels. Overall, it's a good, modern, and beautiful hotel with a pleasant atmosphere. Breakfast was quite decent. If they fix the shower drainage issue and make the spa area more accessible for guests, the experience would be almost perfect. The hotel left us with good impressions, but certain aspects of guest management could use some improvement."

"I really enjoyed my stay at the Hilton Regency. Check-in was fast, and the front desk staff were wonderful – they told us everything we needed to know, advised us on the best places to eat and visit, and quickly arranged taxis within the complex. The room service staff were always accommodating, and any requests were met promptly. Room cleaning was very thorough and unobtrusive. We particularly loved the pools in the spa center on the 2nd floor and visited them daily. There's an excellent steakhouse on the 1st floor, and it's within walking distance to the fountains and the Eternal City complex."

"This is a good hotel. We stayed at the Hilton before this, and this hotel is no different in terms of quality. It's clean, and the housekeeping is daily, with excellent staff. The downside (we stayed in March 2026) is that there's absolutely nothing nearby. The fountains weren't working, and neither were the water park, amusement park, or shopping center! In the summer, during peak season, it would probably be wonderful here! But not at any other time of year!"

"The hotel is just a 15-20 minute walk to both Registan Square and Gur-e-Amir, making getting around very convenient! The shashlik restaurant diagonally across the street comes highly recommended! The front desk service was excellent, and they even helped us call a taxi and handle our luggage!"

This traditional house, with its beautiful atrium, is nestled in an alleyway. At the entrance to the alley, there's a bakery, and you can really get a sense of local life, with residents and children playing. Despite its hidden location, it's conveniently just over a 10-minute walk to Registan Square. I booked a room with a bathtub and had no issues with the hot water or water pressure. However, just like the 4-star hotel I stayed at in central Tashkent, there was no plug for the bathtub drain. I had to improvise with a plastic bag to fill it up and take a bath. Given the country's situation with the disappearing Aral Sea, I've come to accept that Japanese expectations don't really apply here.

Beautiful hotel with a wine cellar downstairs, conveniently located 12 minutes' walk from the train station. However, it's a 20-minute taxi ride to the city center. On the downside: it was cold! There was no heating in the room, and we froze at night! (It was 10 degrees Celsius outside, so naturally, it was cold inside too). Our room faced the road, and the noise insulation was terrible! We could hear everything from the street and the corridor! There was a cigarette smell in the room! It seemed like someone had been smoking, and despite airing it out, the smell wouldn't go away! We asked to change rooms but were refused, told there were no other rooms available! Very unpleasant! We did extend our stay by 6 hours for half the price, which was a plus. Pros: The room had everything advertised, including a bathrobe – though only one, even though I booked for two people. The shower was broken; both showerheads (the rain shower too) seemed clogged, and water came out from the side on both, making it very inconvenient to shower. There were only two pillows; four would have been better. Other pros: Decent breakfast with coffee from a machine. The hotel is beautiful, and the rooms are clean and cozy. There's an ironing board and iron in the hallway. The beds are comfortable.

The location was good and the hotel was clean. Overall, I would recommend it. The staff were kind and helpful. When I arrived at the hotel with a same-day reservation, they seemed to have prepared a larger room than expected, allowing me to relax comfortably. There is no elevator, but this is a common building structure in Uzbekistan, so it wasn't a problem. The breakfast was sufficient considering it was included in the room rate. There is a currency exchange machine in the hotel, so you don't have to worry if you're short on cash. Finally, be careful with the bathroom facilities in the room.

I stayed at this hotel as a solo traveler and absolutely loved it. The host treats every guest with such warmth—he prepared a map of local attractions, happily shared recommendations, and made me feel right at home in the city. The hotel is spotlessly clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. I was especially thrilled with the shared kitchen, which is a rare find and super convenient. The cozy courtyard with its common area is a true oasis; you honestly won't want to leave the hotel. It's so easy to feel at home here. You can tell the interior was put together with love and attention to detail: a huge library, antiques, cozy touches, and spaces filled with warmth. The hotel is located in the historic center, within walking distance of the main sights. The streets can get a bit dark in the evening, but I felt completely safe and at ease. My solo trip was wonderful. I recommend staying here for at least 3-4 nights to leisurely take in the city and the hotel's unique atmosphere. I loved every bit of it and would gladly return again ☀️

This is a good hotel. We stayed at the Hilton before this, and this hotel is no different in terms of quality. It's clean, and the housekeeping is daily, with excellent staff. The downside (we stayed in March 2026) is that there's absolutely nothing nearby. The fountains weren't working, and neither were the water park, amusement park, or shopping center! In the summer, during peak season, it would probably be wonderful here! But not at any other time of year!

We were welcomed like honored guests at the hotel. Administrators Farrukh and Mamur promptly fulfilled all our requests. At breakfast, I asked if there were syrniki (cottage cheese pancakes). There weren't any that morning, but they prepared and brought them to us within 15 minutes. Utair airline delayed our flight by 11 hours, and there were no available rooms to extend our stay at the hotel, but the administrators once again ensured our wait was comfortable. We waited for our flight in the cozy hotel lobby. I'd also like to mention the hotel's location, which in our opinion, is the most convenient in Samarkand: a 5-minute walk to Registan, and excellent access to the hotel. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Де люкса нам не досталось, его уже заселили и портье даже не обратил внимания на нашу бронь. А когда увидел, сказал: Ой, у нас нет номеров. И мы заселялись целый час. Сначала поселили в ужасно тесный маленький номер. Потом переселили в более большой стандартный номер с компенсацией за де люкс. Вообщем управление отелем из рук вон плохое. Не понравилось. Не рекомендую.

No words can say this better than the experience I had staying in Samarkhand. I was injured during transfer from Tashkent to Samarkhand. Found myself left at the curb with a sprained knee. A pickup passed by and actually helped me although it was a busy day for him. At the hotel, a pretty receptionist named Nozima was tremendously helpful. She was an angel sent to me during my 2 nights stay at Kampoeng Indonesia. Always attending and calling in on me for any needs. She assisted me with transfers, cancellations of bookings (due to my shortened trip), calling taxi for Tashkent for my trip back, calling paramedics and most of all translating all my needs into assistance, buggy call, and not to mention 3 meals a day. My gratitude also goes to the handsome pickup guy i didnt catch his name, Ulugbek the most charming buggy guy, Xofiza my morning breakfast lady, Fazila the breakfast cook, Pak Agus the dinner chef and those I couldnt name them. My travel to Uzbekistan was memorable because of these people. And yes I would say it million times, Uzbeks are nice kindred hearted people. Very helpful and curteous too. I would come back to Kampoeng Indonesia only to thank those lovely people!! Rahmat to all of you!!

The hotel's location isn't right in the city center, but it's relatively close to the Samarkand railway station. Taking a taxi to attractions like Registan Square or Shah-i-Zinda takes only about ten minutes, so sightseeing is completely unaffected. The room is indeed small and a bit cramped, but it feels more comfortable than the photos on the booking page suggest—no disappointing ”photoshop vs. reality” gap. The shower water pressure is great, and the mattress has a nice firmness, making for a good night's sleep. Breakfast is average—filling, but nothing special. I was initially worried the room would be a letdown, but the actual experience exceeded expectations. Good value for money, and I would recommend it to travelers with a similar budget.

A good place to stay is all you needed especially if coming from Tashkent (bus ride took 5.5hrs to Samarkand) - and this hotel made it up for the long day.  The area is a bit of a walk to the attractions - but with this summer I don’t mind spending a few Uzbek SOMs for Yandex (w/c is cheap by the way). Hotel was new, spacious and clean. There’s AC to beat the heat in the city. And there’s even breakfast included at that price point and they don’t ask you to pay extra if you already consumed 2 bottled water a day. Special shoutout to their new staff, Ulugbek! He showed me what Uzbek hospitality means. Very helpful guy. And to their boss for returning the extra money I paid and for not forcing me to change room when there was a mixed up w/ the room assignments - I’m supposed to get the standard but, I was given the next tier by mistake.
