"This is a courtyard-style hotel, beautifully situated halfway up the mountain. Robert checked us in with excellent and incredibly patient service, explaining all the hotel facilities and nearby attractions. I was extremely pleased with the room upon entering; it was wonderfully cool and comfortable because the air conditioning had been turned on in advance. The room was also very spacious, and the cleanliness was top-notch. Any service we needed was promptly delivered by staff, and even our takeaways were brought to the room by a robot! The hotel felt very safe and secure. I saw a swimming pool below my room, but unfortunately, my itinerary was too packed to enjoy it. I would definitely stay here again if I get the chance."

"Facilities: This is an older, star-rated hotel, but it doesn't feel dated at all. We stayed on the fifth floor and didn't experience the musty smell some online reviewers mentioned. There are plenty of activities scheduled daily, making it very family-friendly.
Surroundings: The hotel is located on Qishui Bay, with a fine sandy beach, and you can even watch rocket launches. Within 3 kilometers, Longlou Town offers a wide variety of delicious food, and many delivery services can bring food right to the hotel.
Service: A big shout-out to our butler, Hayley! She was incredibly responsive and proactive. She arranged everything for us in advance, and our room even had a bed rail, a crib, and various kids' amenities. She sent warm greetings every day, provided us with tips for dining, entertainment, and activities, and helped us book hotel events. 100 points!
Restaurant: The breakfast spread each morning was very rich and diverse, including local delicacies. The coconut chicken hotpot in the set meal was also incredibly delicious; I even thought it tasted better than what you'd find in outside restaurants."

However, a major drawback is that the toilet and shower rooms are made of entirely transparent glass. "The large sea view from the room was nice, but the in-room facilities felt a bit outdated. There was nowhere to hang towels, and the tissue box only had a few crumpled tissues left, clearly remnants from a previous guest. The most frustrating part was trying to find the kids' club. I asked the front desk several times, and they just kept saying 'turn left outside, it's in the building next door,' without mentioning it was in a different hotel. We walked back and forth multiple times under the scorching sun and couldn't find it. When we asked another staff member, they said this hotel doesn't even have a kids' club! I saw reviews online of other guests using the infinity pool, but the front desk also failed to mention it was at the Belmont Hotel, so we just assumed it wasn't open. The front desk was also vague about the breakfast restaurant's location, just saying 'in the building next door.' Every time we went to that 'next door building,' we had to walk a long way under the blazing sun. Whether it's a kids' club or a water park, why can't they clearly state it's in a different hotel? Even if it's 'next door,' it should still be part of *their* hotel. Who would guess it's a completely different property without clear information? Our butler added us on WeChat after we had been running around all day and went out in the evening, but we didn't see it until the next day at check-out when they reminded us to add them. What's the point then? How can I possibly leave a good review with an experience like that? Objectively, the facilities at the partner hotels are quite good, making the overall value for money reasonable. But shouldn't the subjective service keep up? It's just a matter of saying a few more words, yet they made everything so complicated every time."

"Our high-floor sea-view room offered stunning panoramic views of Haikou Bay and Century Bridge right from the balcony. The sunsets were gorgeous, and the evening lights over the ocean were truly captivating, making for fantastic photo opportunities. The room itself was spacious, featuring a double vanity and a large bathtub. It was spotlessly clean with no unpleasant odors, and the soundproofing was excellent.
We had informed them in advance that we were traveling with a young baby, and they thoughtfully provided a crib, children's bathrobes, and baby toiletries. The mini-fridge was very convenient for storing milk formula and baby food, making our stay with a little one so much easier.
The hotel's facilities were comprehensive. There's an outdoor family pool, a kids' club, and an indoor play area. The breakfast buffet even had a dedicated children's station, and the local Hou'an noodles and various dim sum options were plentiful. There's also a 24-hour gym and free parking. Getting to Qilou Old Street and Cloud Library was a breeze, just a 10-15 minute drive, making sightseeing very convenient.
The day before we arrived, our butler Jenny proactively contacted us via WeChat to meticulously confirm all our needs for traveling with a toddler. She also sent us useful information in advance, such as a Haikou travel guide, the pool opening hours, and breakfast times."

"The hotel itself is pretty good and quiet, but the humidity was so high that after sleeping for one night, I woke up with a backache. In the morning, I opened the window a tiny crack, thinking it would air out the room. To my surprise, when I came back, the entire room was covered in water droplets. I was stunned for a long time, not knowing what had happened. I spoke to the front desk, and they moved us to another room, explaining that we couldn't open the windows because we were so close to the sea – not even a tiny crack. They really should have communicated this during check-in, instead of waiting until there was a problem to tell me. Many people aren't aware of the weather conditions in Haikou. And what's more, I was traveling with a child, and the front desk didn't offer a single apology for the incident. Only one young man consistently helped me move my luggage and change rooms; I want to thank him. The staff at the entrance were also excellent; they always helped open car doors and carry luggage!"

I've been to Sanya probably over 10 times, and this was my first time staying at a hotel not by the sea. It felt quite different.
Overall rating: Worth staying. I'd give it 4.5 stars or more.
1) My favorite part was the heaven cliff pool – the view is unbeatable. Swimming here is simply one of life's greatest pleasures.
2) The hotel's buggy service was incredibly responsive, and the staff's attitude was excellent.
3) During the off-peak season, there weren't many guests, but the breakfast maintained a good standard and wasn't skimped on.
4) The Thai restaurant boasts charming views. Although the prices are a bit on the high side, the mesmerizing scenery and live music make it well worth it.
5) The complimentary tropical rainforest park tour offered by the hotel exceeded my expectations. The guide was enthusiastic and helped with photos.
6) The only thing is that since the hotel is located in a tropical rainforest, insects and geckos are inevitable. I even saw a small snake on the balcony. So, it's crucial to keep doors and windows closed at all times and bring your own mosquito repellent.
7) It's been open for a while, and some rooms are currently undergoing maintenance. Overall, it's well-maintained.

《《－；，：；（This guesthouse is really worth staying at. The in-room facilities are new, and with two beds, my child slept very comfortably. Our building was very close to the pool, and the kids' pool was great, though a bit too sunny. The hotel is right next to the beach with beautiful scenery. Breakfast was plentiful, and there was even a mermaid show in the afternoon, making it perfect for families with kids.

AAnonymous UserMy stay at Wanda Vista Sanya Haitang Bay was absolutely perfect! The hotel's tropical gardens are serene and elegant, offering direct oceanfront views in a peaceful and relaxing environment. The location is excellent, just a short walk to the beach, and very convenient for getting to the duty-free shop. The restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious dishes made with fresh ingredients. Ella was incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and attentive, quickly resolving all my needs. Overall, the value for money is exceptional, and the vacation experience was outstanding. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Sanya!

GGuest UserHaving experienced the InterContinental Sanya Haitang Bay, and considering our itinerary, I decided to try the InterContinental Sanya Haitang Bay. The day before our check-in, Kaylee from guest relations proactively contacted me to confirm the details and made thoughtful arrangements for us. 👍
On the day of our check-in, it was pouring rain in Haitang Bay. We were stuck with our luggage in the duty-free shop, watching the rain show no signs of stopping. I contacted Kaylee to ask if the hotel could send someone to pick us up. Kaylee informed me that the hotel didn't have vehicles that could go to the duty-free shop. However, the hotel staff later sent umbrellas for us, helped us move our luggage to the hotel's side entrance, and then the hotel shuttle took us to the lobby. 👍
The hotel lobby is much larger than the InterContinental Sanya Dadonghai, and the overall scale feels comparable to the Westin Wanning/Lingshui.
The room was spacious, bright, and comfortable. The fruit was delicious, and the room was equipped with Baishui Mountain mineral water, with Pure Enjoyment still water for refills. During our stay, whenever I contacted Kaylee, she responded immediately and acted quickly, even when she was off duty, which was impressive! So nice! 👍
Before coming, I learned that the hotel has a large fish tank with many fish, including sea turtles and manta rays. So, I took my child to the viewing tunnel on B2. My child was deeply fascinated by the fish, especially when they saw a giant grouper. My child blurted out, ”Look, fish 2.0!” I was puzzled, and my child explained it was like ”oil tanker 2.0,” with a bunch of smaller fish (like planes) following it. 🤭 We also saw a mermaid show. However, due to the distance of the performance area and limited visibility at the bottom of the tank, we could only see silhouettes. Fortunately, there were pictures of the mermaid show on the tunnel wall, which allowed me to explain it to my child in detail. The entire tunnel wall was covered with科普资料 (scientific information) about various fish, allowing for both viewing and learning. 👍 The tunnel also had multiple observation windows, so you could find your best viewing angle. 👍
The hotel boasts a vast lawn. Looking out, the skyline, the ocean, the greenery, and the lawn were truly refreshing. 👍
The waves in Haitang Bay are indeed strong and powerful, far exceeding those in Wanning and Lingshui. The beach quality is much better than Yalong Bay. We even encountered crabs during the day. 🤗
The breakfast restaurant was spacious, with ample seating. Even during peak hours, we didn't see guests waiting in line. The breakfast spread was rich, and they even offered specialty Xinglong coffee.
The lobby staff were enthusiastic and all smiles. Seeing us with our luggage, they proactively helped us move it. 👍

GGuest UserTwo days that far exceeded my expectations! Our butler, Coral, was so thoughtful. It must have been the off-season because we got an upgrade. She was always quick to respond to any questions, which was super convenient. The room was huge, with two beds facing the balcony, so you could lie in bed and watch the ocean and sunrise. One wall of the bathroom was glass, facing the sea, making it clean and bright. The restaurant was just downstairs, and the roasted chicken at the Thai restaurant was delicious. The room was also very close to the beach, perfect for water activities. In the evenings, you could watch movies on the lawn. There's also a seafood BBQ buffet right by the beach, and they start playing music every evening, creating a lively atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Prior to arrival, I requested an early check-in as well as a high-floor room away from the lifts if possible, and the hotel accommodated both requests perfectly. The room was located on a high floor and offered a fantastic 270-degree panoramic view, which was undoubtedly the highlight of my stay.
The front desk team was exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout. Special thanks to Front Desk Manager 万新, team member 幸怡, and the rest of the team, who went above and beyond in assisting with the collection of multiple parcels before my arrival. Their proactive assistance and warm hospitality were greatly appreciated. Communication was also very convenient, as the front desk was highly responsive via WeChat and quick to assist whenever needed.

The room itself had a somewhat unconventional layout, likely due to the building's structure and the corner positioning required to achieve the panoramic view - totally understandable and appreciate the Front Desk for explaining it to me upon my arrival.
From previous reviews, I had expected the room to feature smart controls (possibly Xiaodu, heated/automated toilet bowl as seen on other reviews), but I was not briefed on any smart room functions during check-in and could not seem to activate them myself. This was not a major issue, but a brief introduction during check-in or a simple user guide in the room would have been helpful.
The panoramic view was absolutely stunning, especially during the day and around sunset. One thing to note, however, is that the floor-to-ceiling windows allow a significant amount of sunlight into the room. On particularly sunny days, the room could feel quite warm even with the air-conditioning running at full blast. Blackout curtains are provided, of course, but drawing them somewhat defeats the purpose of enjoying such a spectacular view.
Breakfast was decent, offering a reasonable variety of options, although nothing particularly stood out. It was perfectly adequate for starting the day, but not one of the hotel's main highlights. One small observation regarding housekeeping: on my third morning, while I was heading out for breakfast, a housekeeper casually asked me in the corridor whether I was ”still staying today.” I understood that she was likely trying to confirm whether the room required servicing or whether I would be checking out, but the phrasing felt a little awkward. A more guest-friendly way of asking might create a better impression.
A couple of other points worth noting: sound insulation around the room doors could be improved, as neighbouring room doors closing could be quite noticeable. In addition, the room door requires a firm push to shut completely; otherwise, an alarm will sound. There were also some mosquitoes around the hotel premises, although the room was thoughtfully equipped with an electronic mosquito repellent.
The hotel's location is reasonably convenient, but it is worth noting that it is not quite as close to Qilou Old Street and some of the nearby attractions as I had initially expected. While the area is technically walkable, Haikou's heat and humidity can make the walk feel much longer and less pleasant, especially during the day. In practice, I often found myself opting for Didi (online-hailing app)instead. Not a major drawback, but something to keep in mind if you plan to explore the area primarily on foot
Overall, the excellent service, responsive staff, and spectacular panoramic view made for a very enjoyable stay. Despite a few minor quirks, I would happily stay here again on a future visit to Haikou.

GGuest UserThis is a courtyard-style hotel, beautifully situated halfway up the mountain. Robert checked us in with excellent and incredibly patient service, explaining all the hotel facilities and nearby attractions. I was extremely pleased with the room upon entering; it was wonderfully cool and comfortable because the air conditioning had been turned on in advance. The room was also very spacious, and the cleanliness was top-notch. Any service we needed was promptly delivered by staff, and even our takeaways were brought to the room by a robot! The hotel felt very safe and secure. I saw a swimming pool below my room, but unfortunately, my itinerary was too packed to enjoy it. I would definitely stay here again if I get the chance.

The coconut groves and lawns are also very photogenic, perfect for families with kids. There's a petting zoo, a mini-train, and various activities. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of delicious options. The hotel service is also fantastic, and I especially want to commend Potato, our butler, who sent thoughtful greetings every day. The overall experience was excellent!

DDongfangyuxiFirst, the pros: The hotel is very close to the sea; you can walk out from the ground floor and be on the beach in a few dozen meters. Since it's at the very end, the beach is quite clean. The rooms are also clean, and the housekeeping staff are all very friendly. There's a pharmacy and a small convenience store right in the hotel lobby, which is quite convenient for buying medicine and other necessities.
The concierge service was also excellent, actively helping with luggage upon arrival and departure. There's even a ** (food delivery) locker at the lobby entrance, which makes ordering takeout very convenient.
Now, the cons: The front desk service was terrible. The room they initially assigned us could only be used for showering while standing in the bathtub. Since one of my companions had difficulty with their leg, I asked for a different room. The front desk staff immediately told me the hotel was fully booked and there were no other rooms available. I had no choice but to contact Ctrip, and they quickly arranged a room change for us. When checking out, I requested a late check-out because my child needed an afternoon nap. Again, the front desk told me the hotel was fully booked and we could only stay until 12:30 PM. However, before calling, I had already checked the booking page, and our room type was still available for sale that day, so it wasn't fully booked. Oh well, we checked out on time.
Breakfast: The variety was extremely limited, and most of the options seemed more suitable for Russians. I stayed for three days, and as a woman with a small appetite, I never felt full. In the evening, there's also a self-service BBQ on the ground floor for 98 yuan per person.
I wouldn't recommend making a special trip to Bohou Village Night Market; it's just a short road, a few dozen meters long, entirely filled with BBQ stalls. If you plan to book this hotel, I suggest getting a full sea-view room directly. The full sea-view rooms seem to have been renovated, and the facilities look newer. Also, a word of advice: do not book through **. I saw others who booked through **, and when issues arose, the hotel and ** just passed the buck, leaving the customer to suffer. This trip was long with many uncertainties, and I deeply experienced Ctrip's problem-solving capabilities. They truly are the king of the tourism industry; kudos to Ctrip! 👍

We had a dedicated 24-hour butler, Zheng Delin, who was incredibly responsive to all our needs. For our anniversary, he even arranged a complimentary room setup, which was a lovely touch and added to the special occasion. The resort boasts a secluded private bay, with hardly any outside visitors. The sunsets over the ocean in the evening were romantic and therapeutic, and the happy hour at the beach bar created a fantastic atmosphere. Every room is equipped with Banyan Tree's signature aromatherapy toiletries, and upon check-in, we received a special welcome gift and fresh fruit. The floating afternoon tea experience was exceptional. The resort's buggies are available for pick-up and drop-off at any time, ensuring a smooth and uncrowded experience. It's truly a luxurious choice for couples on their honeymoon or anyone looking for a relaxing escape, far from the hustle and bustle of crowds.
