Although it is located slightly outside of downtown luxor, it was only about 15 mins walk to the board walk area and luxor temple. There were lots of small supermarkets and local food options nearby within walking distance in the evening. (We noticed a lot of food places did not open u until about 3pm onwards). The local streets are very alive at night with vendors and food at reasonable prices. Check in took a long time and the staff appeared to also be working on something else at the same time as processing our check in and did not seem to be too interested. When moving around the hotel and entry/exit at entrance, the door staff and security seem disinterested and would be nice to have just a welcoming smile or hello. Overall, it was a good and comfortable stay and would recommend for anyone exploring luxor for a few days.

The hotel is a bit old, but the exterior environment is nice and gives off a resort vibe. However, the room interiors are pretty standard. The so-called Nile view was nothing special, but the sunset was indeed beautiful. The hotel has its own felucca dock, which is very convenient and reasonably priced, though you'll still need to bargain a bit. The boatman assigned to us was very friendly and spoke good English. Watching the sunset from the felucca was a real treat.

The room wasn't big; it was a bit cramped for two people with their suitcases. However, the room was clean and cozy, showing that some thought had been put into its design and decor. The staff were also very helpful; they emailed me to ask when I would arrive after I booked the hotel. The restaurant upstairs has a view of the Nile River, and there are also restaurants downstairs, which is very convenient. It's also convenient for visiting various attractions in the Valley of the Kings.

The hotel is located on an island which is not in downtown, close to the airport and a little bit far from famous temples etc., but it is acceptable and quite safe, away from noisy. The facilities are a bit old but still clean. The billboard is not well maintained and can't be used, table tennis and tennis rackets are old, just usable but not enjoyable. The service is good, we arrived in the morning and reception desk was very busy, after some minutes waiting we were lucky to get our rooms ready to check in before time. Sometimes the staff are over-occupied but overall they worked nicely and kindly to the customers. The breakfast was great, it is a plus and also every Friday there is Egyptian buffet dinner where you can enjoy quite a lot of different kinds of food, including crabs, fish, beef, duck, chicken and many desserts. There are 3 pools there and we enjoyed them, even though temperature was not warm enough we still managed to swim a little bit in infinite pool which is the biggest. Along the Nile river you will enjoy good views and even see balloon rising up in the morning.

This is really a hidden gem in Luxor! It’s on the quiet west bank and near to Valley of king, queen, nobles, artists! The Arabic style room, building and garden meet all my imagination about Tales from 1001 nights! The owner is such a kind lady. She will arrange cars and tours at very reasonable price! They also have the best food and coffee in Luxor! The menu changes every day!! All the staffs are also so kind and helpful! They will have new buildings by end of 2024. If I ever come back to Luxor, I will definitely stay here again and longer! My best memory in Egypt!

The Steigenberger Nile Palace Luxor Hotel & Spa, while showing its age, still hints at its past grandeur. The rooms are incredibly spacious and very comfortable, with good amenities – even the TV is a Japanese LG brand. The laundry service is reasonably priced, which is a big plus for long-term travelers. Breakfast offers a decent variety, enough to meet daily needs. The hotel's location is convenient, within walking distance of Luxor Temple, making it easy for sightseeing and getting around. Overall, it offers good value for money.

This hotel is very good, the room we stayed in was very big, we also invited us to drink juice, the next day we saw that our children could not drink tea and coffee, and sent him banana milk. The boss would also help to call the boat to the opposite Luxor Temple, very nice!

We arrived late(3am) and past check-in time(12pm), and we knocked on the hotel door with no answer. We had to curl up in the car that night. It was actually our own fault for asking and forgetting to inform the hotel of our arrival time, but the hotel still refunded us for the night we didn't check in, and they were very friendly and made our night's unpleasantness disappear and the hotel is near the hot balloon area which has a very good view of the balloon, just like these picture

I stayed here for two nights during New Year's 2026. It's a lovely hotel with views of the Nile, and the garden with the pool is very relaxing. I had pre-booked a hot air balloon tour through a major website while still in Japan. I woke up at 3 AM and waited in the hotel lobby, but no one came. The hotel manager noticed and, out of kindness, arranged a balloon tour for me through his contacts. I'm so grateful for the manager's thoughtfulness. Thank you very much. This hotel has a wonderful manager!

This was my first favorite accommodation during my trip to Egypt. The owner and all the staff were incredibly friendly, and I'll definitely be staying here again next time I visit. If you ask the owner, they'll arrange a balloon tour, Luxor, or Xian for a reasonable fee. Even if you're late for photo shoots, they'll wait for you until late and safely escort you back to the hotel. I can't say enough about this hotel's excellence. I highly recommend it. I hope it prospers! ^^
