Right across the street are the Clan Jetties, and there are countless historical buildings nearby, making it incredibly convenient for exploring. What truly stands out is the hotel staff; they are exceptionally polite and attentive. The hotel itself is an old heritage building, so the facilities are a little dated, but they are very well-maintained. The rooms are cleaned immaculately every day, and the breakfast offers a wide variety of choices to suit most tastes. For this area, it offers fantastic value for money.

Here's I had a wonderful stay here for 2 nights and honestly have nothing negative to say about my experience. The hotel's location is excellent and one of its biggest advantages. It is conveniently situated close to many of Georgetown's most popular attractions, restaurants, cafes, street art spots, and local landmarks, making it very easy to explore the area on foot without needing transportation. The check-in and check-out process was quick, smooth, and hassle-free. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, professional, and always happy to assist with any questions or requests. Their friendly attitude made me feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout my stay. The room was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable visit. Although the room was slightly compact, it was thoughtfully designed and made good use of the available space. All the facilities and amenities worked perfectly, including the air conditioning, Wi-Fi, lighting, and bathroom facilities, which made my stay even more enjoyable. I also appreciated the peaceful atmosphere, which allowed me to relax after a full day of exploring Georgetown. The combination of a great location, clean rooms, efficient service, and friendly staff made this hotel a fantastic choice for both short and longer stays. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience and would not hesitate to stay here again on my next visit to Penang. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and enjoyable stay in the heart of Georgetown!

There is no sufficient space for guests drop off and pick up and for if there are two to three cars the area before hotel will be messed up and stuck together! The enclosed captured screen from goggle map is self explanatory ! Every morning commencing 8:00 am to 09:00am there will be large trolleys outside the rooms and on upper floors transferring towels and other amenities around and the sound like you are sitting by the railway while the trains are crossing which was rather annoying. You will hear staff talking or chatting together and the metallic service door slamming during that period. Most interesting is every day the housekeeping has left souvenirs to us. The first day was a toilet brush and the second day was a cigarette lighter. Last but not the least when we approached the concierge to get the luggages while the car was waiting just outside the hotel main door the bell boy asked my wife to move the luggages by herself and the distance was only 3 meters away!

Recently we stayed at M Social Resort Penang and had a very enjoyable experience overall. The cleanliness of the hotel was very good. The room was generally well-maintained and comfortable. However, there is still some room for improvement, as I noticed a few tiny bugs or insects on the wall, as well as some spots around the sliding door area and on the balcony floor. The location is excellent, especially for those who enjoy beach activities. The hotel offers private beach access, which is very convenient and adds great value to the stay. The service was outstanding throughout my visit. The bellboy team was very helpful and professional, the reception staff were friendly and efficient, and room service was prompt and reliable. The service standards across all departments deserve recognition. The amenities provided were comprehensive and met all expectations. Everything needed for a comfortable stay was available. The swimming pool was well-maintained and clean. I especially appreciated the dedicated children’s section, making it suitable for families. The lobby is one of the highlights of the hotel. It is very clean, beautifully designed, and offers a fantastic view. The welcome drink provided before check-in was also a nice touch and created a great first impression. Parking facilities were generally good. While basement parking is available, the number of spaces is somewhat limited. Open-air parking is also available and works well. However, access from the basement parking area to the lobby needs improvement. There appears to be no direct lift access, requiring guests to climb two to three levels of stairs, which can be inconvenient, especially when carrying luggage. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, with a fluffy mattress and excellent pillows that provided a great night’s sleep. One feature that truly impressed me was the AI Box system that replaces the traditional hotel room phone. Guests can use it to control the TV, request amenities, contact room service, housekeeping, and reception. This modern and innovative feature greatly enhanced the overall guest experience. Overall, M Social Resort Penang offers excellent service, a great location with private beach access, comfortable rooms, modern technology, and a welcoming atmosphere. With minor improvements to room detailing and basement parking access, the experience would be even better.

Located in the heart of Penang, a bit far from the Old Town, but the living environment and surrounding amenities are excellent. The living conditions are much better than in the Old Town, and the area is very vibrant.

Recommended for short stays if you don’t necessarily need all the amenities of a 4 star hotel. I think the biggest surprise was how tiny the bathroom was. The door grazes the sink & I even hit my head against the wall turning to sit on the toilet (I am not a large person) although, it’s nice that it has a partition with the shower, & it’s modern. Some pluses - it’s clean, with comfortable beds, had a sliver of a window (which was ok for us because we like it dark when we sleep) so it was minimal noise from outside- pretty well insulated despite being on a main road, had soap & shampoo dispenser, toothbrush & other bits, and the front desk managers were so lovely! Helped us with any requests we had with a smile regardless of the hour. There’s a smoking area by the parking lot, you can sit & enjoy the company of their cute cat as well as get some snacks and drinks from a vending machine. There is no closet per se, but a shelve with bar & some hangers. There’s a lovely cafe called Unknown not too far away on foot, & a large massage spa (recommended! :)) but otherwise it is a bit of a walk (20 min or so) to the UNESCO area so we just went around with a motorbike (there’s a rental place 5 min walk). There’s a table and chair, has a kettle with cups, small water bottle that you can refill from a dispenser near the elevator, & coffee pouches. AC worked well.

This was our first time in Penang, and it was our honeymoon! When I made the reservation, I added a note about it, and the hotel staff really did prepare our room in advance. Even though we arrived at the hotel in the middle of the night, there was a cake already waiting in the room, and it was decorated with rose petals and swans. A huge thank you! 🙏 We'll definitely stay at this hotel again if we come back to Penang. The emotional value was through the roof! Plus, it was super convenient to get everywhere by taxi.

It was my husband's ***** birthday on the day we checked in, so I had requested a simple room decoration beforehand. The hotel room staff told me they would fold two elephants out of towels, which I thought was already very thoughtful! Then, they even sent up a cake, which I really appreciated! These warm gestures made our Penang trip truly memorable. The room was clean and comfortable, and even though it was a little dated, it wasn't run-down. I was very satisfied with this experience and would definitely stay here again if I have the chance.

My son and nephew stayed in the Premier Twin Room, and their feedback honestly left me flabbergasted. For boys whose vocabulary on things like hotels and hospitality is usually quite limited, they simply could not stop yapping about how much they loved the room! According to them, the room was huge, comfortable, and incredibly cosy. Their absolute favourite part? The complimentary mini bar items — that definitely earned extra points! They also could not stop talking about how amazing the shower was. A special mention must also go to the housekeeping team. Hats off to the housekeeping lad who somehow managed to clean and organise the room so well despite the unbelievable amount of clutter the boys created within such a short time frame. Truly impressive and very much appreciated. The boys also thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast spread and kept mentioning the warmth and hospitality showered upon them throughout their stay. Thank you once again to the entire team at Sunway Hotel Penang for making their stay such a memorable one. It is experiences like these that keep us coming back.

Stayed at Hotel Mokozoyo recently and had a really pleasant experience overall. I requested a quiet room after reading about potential noise from the main road and surrounding areas, and I’m glad that was accommodated — it made the stay much more comfortable. The room itself has a nice, well-organised layout with a clean and modern feel. The hotel’s design really stands out, especially the stylish raw-concrete aesthetic, which gives it a minimalist yet very polished vibe. Cleanliness throughout the property was also excellent. What makes it even better is the location — being right in the heart of George Town means unbeatable walkability to local food streets, cafés, and major attractions, which made exploring extremely convenient. Overall, a well-designed boutique stay with great location, solid comfort, and thoughtful room arrangements.
