Instead, modern hard flooring and bright lighting create a space that feels noticeably fresher and cleaner, both visually and physically, compared to older Peranakan-style hotels in the same price range. Rooms here tend to be on the smaller side. For two guests traveling with large luggage, the space can feel a bit tight. It’s best suited for travelers who spend most of their day বাইরে exploring and simply want a comfortable place to rest at night—think light packers or efficiency-focused “urban explorers.” At roughly RM250 per night, Loop on Leith delivers a boutique-like aesthetic and standardized service at a budget hotel price point. I booked a sea view room, and when I woke up in the morning, a picturesque view was right before my eyes. The front desk staff was very friendly during check-in, and parking was convenient. I'd definitely book this hotel again next time.

The room is spacious, and Harun always does an excellent job cleaning it; his service is enthusiastic. Facilities: Good. Service: Very good, though it's a shame they don't allow a slightly later checkout 😂. They require checkout at 11 AM, and by 12 PM, they were already calling us to hurry up and leave. They're quite strict about not allowing late check-outs, probably because rooms are in high demand during peak season. Environment: Very quiet, you can't hear any motorbike noise, and it's convenient for getting to all the attractions.

This hotel truly deserves a good review. I'd definitely stay here again on my next visit. **Service:** Top-notch! The hotel knew we needed to change (Penang was so hot!), and they let us check in early at 10 AM since a room was available. Water was also delivered to our room very quickly. **Location:** Super convenient. There's a 7-Eleven right next door and a shopping mall. **Accommodation Experience:** I requested a standing shower room in advance, and that's exactly what I got. The bed was quite large, and the overall feeling was spacious and clean. **Dining:** During the May Day holiday, there was about a 5-minute wait for breakfast, which was perfectly acceptable.

I was upgraded to a Deluxe room but it was at the extreme corner next to the service staircase. Grateful for the upgraded but the room conditions were not up to par . Hair in shower room , the shower holder fell when I was taking it out and it dropped on my toe . Hence the blue black toe shown ( hehe ) . I could not sleep the whole night as the air con was very very noisy even when I lower the adjustment. The day curtain was torn . I sound it out to reception the next morning to see whether they can change my room as I was staying for another 2 nights . They did and I reckoned it was another up grade as now the room has a standing shower room . In the other previous room , you have to stand in the bath tub to shower and for a man of 65 , it is a bit tricky . The hotel really needs an up grade too . It is in a good location and CAT bus is nearby . The CAT shuttle is a complimentary bus that moves around the town area . The saving grace for my trip was that the staff was up to par and reacted quickly . Well done on this . Now , I wait for my toe to heal .

The hotel's location is great, within walking distance to all attractions in the center of Georgetown. The rooms are clean and tidy, but the breakfast selection isn't very rich. The front desk staff could be a bit more enthusiastic. Parking can be a bit tight; if you come back late, you might struggle to find a spot. Otherwise, everything else was quite good.

Although the hotel opened in 2014, the rooms' facilities and cleanliness are still very well-maintained. The shower has great water pressure, making for a very comfortable bathing experience. The pillows in the room were a bit uncomfortable for me – too high and too springy. The bed was large and the mattress was very comfortable. My room didn't come with bathrobes. It was quiet at night, and the air conditioning in the room was strong. Directly opposite the hotel is a large shopping mall, and a big supermarket is not far away. It's also within walking distance to various attractions. The infinity pool is excellent, with a good long lane for swimming. Breakfast is served from 6:30 AM to 10 AM, and the food selection is substantial and fitting for a 4-star hotel, offering everything you'd expect.

For solo travelers like me, this place is incredibly convenient because of its excellent transportation links. All the main attractions – whether it's the beach, historic houses, restaurants, or various downtown spots – are within walking distance. I stayed here for a week and didn't need a single taxi. In the evenings, I could just stroll out to a bar or find some great food. I even made quite a few friends! The hotel's restaurant is also very good. Overall, the value for money here is exceptional.

The location is good, but the hotel itself is quite basic and a bit dirty and messy. The fridge in our room was also broken. One of the front desk staff (who looked Chinese, but wasn't) was quite rude. The parking situation is a bit confusing. The day before yesterday, the front desk told us we only needed to pay RM5 once, and then parking would be free afterwards (we'd need to go to the front desk to wave off the charges). However, the next day, a different front desk staff member said it was ”RM5 for the first entry/exit each time.” So, we have no idea how they actually charge for parking; their policy is very confusing. It feels like none of the staff know what they're doing. And charging tourists RM5 for each entry/exit is quite unreasonable, isn't it? When you're on vacation, don't you go in and out of the hotel frequently? Do you really think charging RM5 every single time is reasonable? Charging once a day would be acceptable, but this seems like they're just desperate for money.

Not at the noisy beach area yet easily accessible to Georgetown (15 mins via Grab). There's a hawker centre with good local food. In house cafe, bar at the hotel. Walkable to the beach from the pool area. Overall, the amenities and service are adequate. For a Mercure brand of hotel, it's good to check it out.
