"We arrived at around 10:30am and requested an early check in, as we had a 5:00am flight the following morning. We fully understood that the standard 1500pm check in time applied and that any early check-in was subject to room availability. We therefore appreciated the hotel accommodating us with a room at 1230pm. Unfortunately, the room was not ready to the standard we expected. We found an empty bottle on the floor, and the glass door/window could not be locked properly. Although, we requested a room change, we were informed that none were available at the time and maintenance advised that the lock would require drilling and screwing to repair. What disappointed us most was not the need for the repair itself, but how the situation was handled. The communication from the maintenance staff came across as abrupt when we were asked whether we wanted the repair carried out or not. We also felt greater consideration could have been given to guests, as drilling may not be suitable for those with allergies, asthma or sensitivities to dust or noise. Holiday inn has always been a brand I associate with consistent international standards, particularly from my experiences in South-East Asia. While we appreciated the hotel's flexibility in offering an early check-in, we do not believe this should come at the expense of basic expectations such as cleanliness, security, and a room that is ready for occupancy. Hopefully, this was an isolated incident rather than a reflection of the hotel's usual standards. Many guests arrive after long journeys simply looking forward to a clean, secure and comfortable place to rest. A little more thoughtfulness in both room readiness and communication would make a meaningful difference to the overall guest experience."

"Very beautiful hotel! Situated at Wynyard Quarter, easy to walk to CBD / Ferry Terminal with plenty of good restaurants around (Auckland Fish Market is also just next-door). "The room was great and had everything we needed! The desk was perfect for our child to do homework. The pool was also good, with many kids playing there every day. The location was convenient for getting around! The only downside was that we forgot our child's slippers and didn't get a response after emailing. We hope to retrieve them when we return to Auckland next month!"

"This is a great hotel for Chinese travelers, I stayed for a month! There was daily housekeeping, and as soon as I hung up the phone, the attendant arrived – that's China speed! Mineral water was provided daily, which saved me a lot of money. The room had a washing machine, a large refrigerator, a coffee machine, a toaster, a microwave… everything you could need. I really didn't want to leave! Right next door is a Chinese supermarket with good quality and low prices. It's about a 15-minute walk to a mall and another supermarket, and a bit further there are many Chinese restaurants. Staying here is incredibly convenient! Just a few minutes' drive away is a bay; there are so many bays on the North Shore, all so close to each other. Oh, and right across from the hotel is a popular internet-famous cafe – if you go late, you'll have to queue. Every morning, I woke up, drove to different bays and different cafes for breakfast, and saw different seas. It was truly delightful 😌"

"I loved staying with Chancellor on Hobson. The customer service was top tier, and the location was perfect. Is was in the city so it was quite convenient, the wharf is 10 minutes walking distance away, and the sky tower is about 5 minutes walking distance. I had an amazing time with my partner and the staff were lovely! The pool, spa and sauna and gym were lovely!"

"Regarding transportation: There's a yellow shuttle bus to the hotel from both the domestic and international terminals. It's best to check the timetable and wait accordingly, as the longest wait can be 35 minutes. Make sure you're taking the yellow shuttle bus specifically for Jetpark – it has writing on the top, offers USB charging, and is even made in China. Regarding breakfast: The hotel offers a buffet breakfast with a good variety of options. It starts early at 5:30 AM and finishes at 10 AM. If you have the time, I highly recommend getting the buffet breakfast. Even if your booking doesn't include it, you can pay on-site; it's not expensive. I can't remember the exact price, but it was around 30 NZD per adult, and children are cheaper. They even support WeChat Pay, and surprisingly, WeChat offers special favorable exchange rates. Regarding self-drive parking: Hotel parking is free, which isn't the case for all hotels. The hotel has a massive parking lot, and you can tell how popular the hotel is just by how full it gets. When parking overnight, be careful not to park too close to the front desk area. Overnight vehicles should be parked a bit further away. Finally: The hotel rooms are not small, and the service is top-notch, international standard. My personal conclusion is that the hotel rooms are much larger than similarly priced hotels in Hong Kong, and the overall service is just as good. All in all, it offers better value than hotels in similar locations in Hong Kong. Plus, the cost of living in this city isn't necessarily higher than in Hong Kong. The above is for reference only."

We checked in late in the night. We needed an extra bed in our room and Front desk did not say no even though Hoise keeping was not available. 10 stars to the hospitality! Rooms were big enough, hotel within walking distance to Sky tower. All in all everything was superb!

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the University of Auckland. After taking a taxi from the airport to Waitemata Station, it's about a four or five-stop bus ride from Britomart, and the bus stop is right across from the hotel. There are many bus stops nearby, making it convenient to get anywhere. Check-in was very smooth; even though there were a lot of people checking in that afternoon, it was well-organized and efficient overall. The front desk staff were also very friendly and even asked if I had stayed at their hotel before. I mentioned I had been to Cordis Beijing Capital Airport previously, but this was my first time here. Upon entering, I noticed the hotel's signature scent, which was indeed identical to the one at Cordis Beijing Capital Airport. The room facilities were all great, the mattress was very comfortable, and there were plenty of charging outlets. The hotel's Wi-Fi was also very fast. The toiletries were of high quality with a pleasant scent, and since the weather was dry in autumn, applying some body lotion made me feel very comfortable. Cordis hotels are known for their breakfast, and the restaurant in the morning certainly offered a wide variety of delicious-looking options. Perhaps due to jet lag, my stomach still thought it was 4 or 5 AM after I finished eating, so I didn't eat much. All in all, this booking on Trip.com offered excellent value for money, and this comfortable trip made me very happy and relaxed.

Very beautiful hotel! Situated at Wynyard Quarter, easy to walk to CBD / Ferry Terminal with plenty of good restaurants around (Auckland Fish Market is also just next-door). View (especially night view) is fantastic. Staff are helpful and friendly. Room is spacious. Breakfast is yummy yummy with lots of choices! (Enjoy the stay very much but forgot to take more nice photos inside the room during day time…）

Facilities: The facilities are quite new, and the lobby feels very spacious. The bathroom is huge and even has a bathtub, perfect for a relaxing soak to relieve fatigue. Cleanliness: The room and even the hallway railings felt dust-free, which was great. Environment: The environment is comfortable, and there's even a swimming pool. Service: Excellent service. They proactively helped carry my luggage to the room. Parking was also convenient.

Very nice hotel with good location and convenient free parking. However two requests to fix malfunctioning fridge failed to materialise in anything. Every morning just around 8am a cart would also roll around outside my room making a lot of noise and waking me up.

Location: First off, the location is excellent. It's a pleasant 10-minute walk to the harbor, a 5-minute stroll to the bustling commercial district, and a 7-minute walk to the nearest bus stop. Within 10 minutes, you'll find two large supermarkets and numerous Chinese restaurants. Amenities: The hotel room comes fully equipped with kitchenware, including a microwave. What's even more impressive is that there's a washer and dryer right in the room! Highly recommend! Service: The front desk is staffed 24 hours, and the staff were quite friendly. After paying online, a 75 yuan deposit is required at check-in.

We arrived at around 10:30am and requested an early check in, as we had a 5:00am flight the following morning. We fully understood that the standard 1500pm check in time applied and that any early check-in was subject to room availability. We therefore appreciated the hotel accommodating us with a room at 1230pm. Unfortunately, the room was not ready to the standard we expected. We found an empty bottle on the floor, and the glass door/window could not be locked properly. Although, we requested a room change, we were informed that none were available at the time and maintenance advised that the lock would require drilling and screwing to repair. What disappointed us most was not the need for the repair itself, but how the situation was handled. The communication from the maintenance staff came across as abrupt when we were asked whether we wanted the repair carried out or not. We also felt greater consideration could have been given to guests, as drilling may not be suitable for those with allergies, asthma or sensitivities to dust or noise. Holiday inn has always been a brand I associate with consistent international standards, particularly from my experiences in South-East Asia. While we appreciated the hotel's flexibility in offering an early check-in, we do not believe this should come at the expense of basic expectations such as cleanliness, security, and a room that is ready for occupancy. Hopefully, this was an isolated incident rather than a reflection of the hotel's usual standards. Many guests arrive after long journeys simply looking forward to a clean, secure and comfortable place to rest. A little more thoughtfulness in both room readiness and communication would make a meaningful difference to the overall guest experience.

The airport shuttle service is a lifesaver, and the fact that they'll hold onto my car for over 10 days is incredibly helpful. If I have an early morning flight and a short international trip, staying here and leaving my car saves a lot on parking fees. They even accommodate airport transfers in the middle of the night or early morning, which is a huge convenience. I definitely plan on staying here again whenever I use the airport. While the facilities are a bit dated, it's perfectly adequate for just a place to sleep. Considering the airport shuttle and car storage, it's a fantastic hotel.

We just had an unexpectedly delightful experience at the Waiheke Island Motel, so much so that we added another night because we simply couldn't get enough of the place! Our stay began with a minor hitch: arriving late in the evening to find our pre-booked studio room was locked. However, the way the night manager and the team handled this was truly remarkable. They quickly resolved the issue by giving us a significant, stress-free upgrade to a spacious whole house with four bedrooms instead of our original studio. This immediate, generous response demonstrated exceptional hospitality and turned a potential frustration into the highlight of our trip. The motel's location is ideal; it offers a wonderfully quiet and peaceful atmosphere, yet it's in very close proximity to both the shops and the beach. We appreciated the on-site pool and the spa options, and the minute's walk down to the community Saturday market was a fantastic bonus. Our only piece of constructive feedback relates to the spa itself—unfortunately, the cleanliness was not up to standard, which was a slight disappointment. Despite the minor issue with the spa, the exceptional service, comfortable accommodation, and prime location mean we had a fantastic trip. Crucially, the price was quite reasonably priced compared to other places on Waiheke, offering excellent value for money. We will definitely return to Waiheke Island Motel!
