"The hotel's location is fantastic, making it very convenient for both transportation and shopping. The express bus terminal is also nearby. To reach the front desk, simply exit Oita ZR Station North Exit, turn right, go through a small door, and take the elevator up to the 8th floor. Check-in is available from 2 PM. Our room was quite spacious, located at the end of the hallway and featuring large windows on two walls. Unfortunately, they were sealed shut, preventing ventilation, but the air conditioning worked perfectly. The entire hotel was very clean. Despite our three-day stay, the staff promptly replaced our yukata and towels, provided bottled water, and offered warm, attentive service throughout. Breakfast was both plentiful and exquisitely presented, featuring beautiful seasonal Japanese bento boxes. Vending machines and ice makers are conveniently located on floors such as 11 and 14. Across from the front desk, complimentary toiletries and skincare products are available for guests to take as needed. The onsen was spotless and well-maintained, with excellent service. We absolutely loved the convenience of being able to dine directly after our bath. Soaking in the top-floor bath while enjoying the panoramic city views was incredibly relaxing."

I've stayed at this hotel chain before in Hokkaido, and they consistently offer complimentary late-night noodles from 9:30 PM to 11:00 PM. The hotel also has its own hot spring on the top floor and even provides various flavored ice creams, which the kids absolutely loved. "This guesthouse has a story to tell in every corner, retaining some of its original Japanese style. The environment is quiet and clean. The evening hot spring bath is by reservation for one hour per group, allowing couples to enjoy a private bath together. A thorough introduction is provided before check-in. The owner is friendly and beautiful 🥰. Breakfast is a traditional breakfast (the rice is superb). I highly recommend allowing time to fully experience and appreciate every detail. Although the location is a bit far from the station (a 15-minute walk), I recommend taking a taxi from the station to the guesthouse. There's a luggage delivery service to the station upon check-out, so you don't need to rush to pick it up. You can pick up your luggage when you catch the train (luggage storage costs about 600-800 yen). You can easily stroll around Yufuin, enjoying the clean air and streets. If I had to point out a downside, it would be the noticeable dampness of the tatami mats, probably because it's near a mountain and quite humid. Also, being a guesthouse, they don't offer any services after 9 PM. We arrived very late and didn't have time to buy anything before checking in. There are no convenience stores nearby, and the guesthouse doesn't have vending machines selling food. But as long as you don't arrive right on time like we did, you won't have this problem. 🙂"

The hotel is very close to the station. Upon entering, you'll find a bathroom with a separate wet and dry area. Besides the two beds, there's an L-shaped sofa and a table for placing things and dining. The room is clean. The rooftop features an infinity pool, and one floor down there are hot springs, separated for men and women. There are both outdoor and indoor onsen, where you can soak while enjoying views of Beppu city and the JR line. We added the buffet breakfast, which offers many Oita Prefecture local dishes.

•the hotel is new and clean •the have free parking space •the view of the sea is superb •the breakfast set is delicious •loved the games night it was fun •the foot bath is great with the sea view •the coffee at the lounge is good but they should provide some japanese snacks •the popcicle after onsen is delicious •the onsen is small but it was nice and clean •the dinner took a long time to eat we didn’t liked the appetizers but the sashimi was fresh and the hotpot was good with lobsters.hotate and puffer fish •we missed the show at 21:30pm •the free ramen is delicious we had fun making the ramen •the bed was soft and we had a great sleep

The location is fantastic, right next to the JR station and the bus terminal. I've stayed at this hotel chain before in Hokkaido, and they consistently offer complimentary late-night noodles from 9:30 PM to 11:00 PM. The hotel also has its own hot spring on the top floor and even provides various flavored ice creams, which the kids absolutely loved. The overall stay experience was excellent, and I would especially like to commend Li-Ying Wu (also known as Go Reiei) from Taiwan. From the very beginning of the check-in process, she demonstrated a professional attitude by thoroughly explaining all the hotel's facilities and services. She always wore a warm and welcoming smile, which truly reflected her dedication to her work and her respect for the guests. During my stay, my family had quite a few demanding and complicated requests, requiring frequent assistance from the staff. Throughout it all, Li-Ying patiently addressed every single question without showing any sign of impatience.

Celebrated 520 (May 20th) by booking a more upscale meal that day, and the experience was great ❤️. The location is fantastic! It's a 5-minute walk to Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell), so we went straight there after breakfast when it was less crowded. Regarding service, I have to say: it was the rainy season, and there were many staff members standing at the entrance, but they only bowed. It felt awkward watching adults and children run into the hotel in the rain to check in, and checking out involved carrying our own luggage in the rain too.

I was very impressed with this ryokan stay. We chose a Family Room, which comfortably accommodated four of us. The room had two air conditioners, keeping it pleasantly cool throughout our stay. The overall atmosphere was warm and peaceful, truly ideal for a relaxing getaway. The service was also very impressive, especially from the elderly gentleman and the male staff member who gave excellent advice. They were attentive and friendly. The other female staff were also lovely and provided equally great service. The ryokan also has an onsen for a relaxing soak, and the location is convenient, with easy access to a nearby mall close to Beppu Tower. Overall, it was a very memorable ryokan experience, and it's a place I'd love to visit again.

This hotel is nestled in the mountains, featuring terraced rice fields, which makes for a very relaxing stay. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped; we chose a room type with an indoor onsen bath. The half-board (dinner and breakfast) meals were also good, and I recommend the Japanese-style breakfast. The baths include both indoor and outdoor options, and overall, everything was very comfortable. The only downside was that when we checked in at 4 PM, we were told that the shuttle service for the next day was fully booked, and we'd have to pay for a taxi ourselves (even though there were empty vehicles available). Despite this, I would still highly recommend Hoshino Resorts KAI Yufuin for an experience.

Is a good experience, I liked the Japanese style of it, the location is good, away from the Main Street for around 5mins walking distance. There is a local supermarket near by. staffs can’t speak other languages but Japanese we used Google translate which worked well. I stayed 2 nights, breakfast and dinner were very good too.

The staff is friendly and speaks English well; the place is quiet and cozy, and the location is perfect. It’s almost a distance to Beppu tourist attractions, especially the Beppu tower and Beppu JR stations. The hostel is also located near the port area, where you can relax and take a break. The hostel also has a cafe, a spacious kitchen, and an artificial hot spring. Although some amenities are not included, you have to purchase them at the front desk, the accommodation cost is relatively cheap, so that’s okay. It's a good thing I have my own towels and other amenities. I will definitely be back here when I return.
