"We had a wonderful stay and were truly impressed by the hospitality. All the staff were attentive, friendly, and always ready to help. The resort offers a beautiful view and is the perfect place for a beach getaway. The breakfast was delicious, although the selection was somewhat limited. We also enjoyed dinner at the restaurant by the river, where the food was excellent. Special thanks to Chef Ann for recommending some delicious dishes. There was a minor issue with our room during the stay, but it was handled professionally and resolved promptly by the hotel team. We greatly appreciate the efforts of all the staff, especially Mr. Ong and Ms. Liza, for their exceptional service and warm hospitality. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable. "So, how about PIR? Let's start with the pros. The sea view is unbeatable, and it has its own long stretch of beach. I'd say it's the second-best on Perhentian Island, right after Long Beach, and definitely better than the two beaches below the Marriott. I even saw sea turtles, sharks, Nemo, and schools of fish while snorkeling – very satisfying! There are also monkeys, squirrels, lizards, and other small animals behind the resort. The staff were very helpful, assisting with luggage from the jetty to the room and again at check-out, which was great. PIR also offers water taxi and island hopping tours, and the prices are quite reasonable. You can also walk to other restaurants for meals. A whole fish cost 80 MYR, which is much cheaper than the 200 MYR at the Marriott. Now for the cons. PIR's breakfast is absolutely terrible. Besides fried eggs, I really didn't know what to eat, though the watermelon was decent. Their regular meals are okay, similar in taste to Mama's. The soundproofing is definitely poor; you can hear conversations from the next room and even the sound of the waves. Also, the bed sheets weren't very clean. I'd recommend bringing your own bedding."

"I read a lot of reviews before coming, so my expectations weren't too high. But after arriving, I found that besides the high price, everything else was truly excellent. Our hotel was the only one on the entire beach, so if you like fewer crowds, this is the place to go. Bryan was fantastic; he sent us all the hotel activities and restaurant information upon arrival, and he was very quick to respond to any requests. Every staff member at the hotel greeted us with a smile and a warm hello. We brought our child, and they even sent snacks to our room every day. The scenery is absolutely stunning. Honestly, besides being expensive, there's nothing to fault!"

"Stayed for 3 nights. Overall, this place has so much potential. The kampung ambience is so peaceful and inviting. The old Istana (palace) transformed into rooms gave the kampung lifestyle feels. Just walking distance to the beach and the scenery of the whole resort is tranquil. Nevertheless, suggest to clean and restore the pond around the resort. Re-do the whole landscaping around the resort and plant all the local flowers, fruit trees and herbal plants. And to install more solar lights. With this new facelift of the whole sorroundings, will surely invite repeating guests. Shoutout to the friendly staffs too. (P/S: suggests to invest on bed bug spray for each room too)"

"The room is large, with a courtyard, and a little bit of a Maldivian feel, but no hair dryer was found. The food is good, the taste is OK, the ingredients are fresh, and it is slightly more expensive than other nearby restaurants. The service is still quite enthusiastic, especially the on-demand food service staff for breakfast, who are very enthusiastic and proactively ask if there are any dishes that need to be ordered. Proactive service is precious and feels very good. However, the front desk service is perfunctory, seemingly enthusiastic but not solving the problem. After waiting for a long time, no one took the initiative to tell us that we can check in. We went to the front desk to ask, and a few chatty waitresses smiled and said that it was ok now. When we left, we missed the boat because the front desk arranged to wait for the water taxi. Obviously, we were very anxious and asked many times, but the front desk told us that there was no problem. The boat is often late. I asked them to call the shipping company to inform us that we have not boarded the boat yet, and I guess there was no communication. I was speechless. The service to customers should not be just superficial enthusiasm. I hope to really solve problems for guests instead of creating problems."

"We had an amazing 5-day family stay at Mimpi Hotel on Perhentian Kecil, and we are honestly more than satisfied. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The place is absolutely beautiful, with a stunning view, and everything is exactly as shown in the pictures, no surprises, just even better in real life. The hotel offers many activities, which made our family holiday even more enjoyable. The access is also easy and well organized. The breakfast is varied and very good, with something for everyone. And considering the quality of the service, the prices are more than affordable. But what truly makes this place special is the staff. They are incredibly kind, friendly, always smiling, and genuinely caring. Always available, very reactive, helpful, and attentive. They go above and beyond to make sure you feel comfortable. Their kindness and positive attitude made a huge difference in our stay. We also deeply appreciates the respectful and peaceful atmosphere. "Our time at Summerbay Resort was really pleasant. Very friendly staff and very good service. The deluxe pool view room was clean and had good amenities and a nice view of the pool. At no point did it feel like this trip was not worth it. The beach in front of the hotel is wel maintained with plenty of baby black tip reef sharks to see while snorkeling. The included breakfast was good, with good food and plenty of seating. For dinner though I would advise to go to Seaview cafe. The dinners and the quality of the food are amazing. Special shoutout to chef Chris for cooking delicious dinners 10/10! We're writing this review as European guest. Communicating in English was not a hassle at all."

We asked to change rooms, but the other rooms also had a strong smell. The pillows looked clean, but they were full of mold. There were many ants in the room, everywhere. I slept in one night and got several bites."

Our stay at Marriott Perhentian exceeded every expectation once again. This was our third visit in less than 12 months, and each time the experience has been even better than the last. , with crystal-clear water, pristine beaches, multiple swimming pools and incredible views in every direction. The resort itself is beautifully designed, perfectly blending luxury with the natural beauty of the island. What truly makes this place exceptional is its people. Every single staff member we encountered went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and genuinely cared for. Their kindness, attention to detail, and willingness to help at every opportunity made all the difference. Special thanks to Faizal and zafirah our host. The rooms were immaculate, spacious, and extremely comfortable. The food was consistently excellent, offering great variety and outstanding quality. With 3 restaurant to chose from, Sekoci for fine dining and day time pizzas and quick bites, Dapur for breakfast and dinner with wide selection of delicious local and international food. A special thank you to the entire Marriott Perhentian team for creating such memorable experiences. It is rare to find a place where every aspect of hospitality is delivered with such passion, consistency, and genuine care. Without hesitation, I would highly recommend Marriott Perhentian to anyone looking for an exceptional island getaway. Returning three times in less than a year speaks for itself, and we are already looking forward to our next visit.

So, how about PIR? Let's start with the pros. The sea view is unbeatable, and it has its own long stretch of beach. I'd say it's the second-best on Perhentian Island, right after Long Beach, and definitely better than the two beaches below the Marriott. I even saw sea turtles, sharks, Nemo, and schools of fish while snorkeling – very satisfying! There are also monkeys, squirrels, lizards, and other small animals behind the resort. The staff were very helpful, assisting with luggage from the jetty to the room and again at check-out, which was great. PIR also offers water taxi and island hopping tours, and the prices are quite reasonable. You can also walk to other restaurants for meals. A whole fish cost 80 MYR, which is much cheaper than the 200 MYR at the Marriott. Now for the cons. PIR's breakfast is absolutely terrible. Besides fried eggs, I really didn't know what to eat, though the watermelon was decent. Their regular meals are okay, similar in taste to Mama's. The soundproofing is definitely poor; you can hear conversations from the next room and even the sound of the waves. Also, the bed sheets weren't very clean. I'd recommend bringing your own bedding.

We had a wonderful stay and were truly impressed by the hospitality. All the staff were attentive, friendly, and always ready to help. The resort offers a beautiful view and is the perfect place for a beach getaway. The breakfast was delicious, although the selection was somewhat limited. We also enjoyed dinner at the restaurant by the river, where the food was excellent. Special thanks to Chef Ann for recommending some delicious dishes. There was a minor issue with our room during the stay, but it was handled professionally and resolved promptly by the hotel team. We greatly appreciate the efforts of all the staff, especially Mr. Ong and Ms. Liza, for their exceptional service and warm hospitality. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable. We look forward to returning in the future.

We had an amazing 5-day family stay at Mimpi Hotel on Perhentian Kecil, and we are honestly more than satisfied. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The place is absolutely beautiful, with a stunning view, and everything is exactly as shown in the pictures, no surprises, just even better in real life. The hotel offers many activities, which made our family holiday even more enjoyable. The access is also easy and well organized. The breakfast is varied and very good, with something for everyone. And considering the quality of the service, the prices are more than affordable. But what truly makes this place special is the staff. They are incredibly kind, friendly, always smiling, and genuinely caring. Always available, very reactive, helpful, and attentive. They go above and beyond to make sure you feel comfortable. Their kindness and positive attitude made a huge difference in our stay. We also deeply appreciates the respectful and peaceful atmosphere. We leave with beautiful memories and highly recommend this hotel. We hope to come back again!

I read a lot of reviews before coming, so my expectations weren't too high. But after arriving, I found that besides the high price, everything else was truly excellent. Our hotel was the only one on the entire beach, so if you like fewer crowds, this is the place to go. Bryan was fantastic; he sent us all the hotel activities and restaurant information upon arrival, and he was very quick to respond to any requests. Every staff member at the hotel greeted us with a smile and a warm hello. We brought our child, and they even sent snacks to our room every day. The scenery is absolutely stunning. Honestly, besides being expensive, there's nothing to fault!

The room is large, with a courtyard, and a little bit of a Maldivian feel, but no hair dryer was found. The food is good, the taste is OK, the ingredients are fresh, and it is slightly more expensive than other nearby restaurants. The service is still quite enthusiastic, especially the on-demand food service staff for breakfast, who are very enthusiastic and proactively ask if there are any dishes that need to be ordered. Proactive service is precious and feels very good. However, the front desk service is perfunctory, seemingly enthusiastic but not solving the problem. After waiting for a long time, no one took the initiative to tell us that we can check in. We went to the front desk to ask, and a few chatty waitresses smiled and said that it was ok now. When we left, we missed the boat because the front desk arranged to wait for the water taxi. Obviously, we were very anxious and asked many times, but the front desk told us that there was no problem. The boat is often late. I asked them to call the shipping company to inform us that we have not boarded the boat yet, and I guess there was no communication. I was speechless. The service to customers should not be just superficial enthusiasm. I hope to really solve problems for guests instead of creating problems.

Stayed for 3 nights. Overall, this place has so much potential. The kampung ambience is so peaceful and inviting. The old Istana (palace) transformed into rooms gave the kampung lifestyle feels. Just walking distance to the beach and the scenery of the whole resort is tranquil. Nevertheless, suggest to clean and restore the pond around the resort. Re-do the whole landscaping around the resort and plant all the local flowers, fruit trees and herbal plants. And to install more solar lights. With this new facelift of the whole sorroundings, will surely invite repeating guests. Shoutout to the friendly staffs too. (P/S: suggests to invest on bed bug spray for each room too)
