"This was my first time staying at this hotel. I was very satisfied with the clean, spacious room with an ocean view. I really enjoyed the heated swimming pool. All the staff were very kind and helpful. The service was quite good. I will definitely return here."

"Ok so first let me just say for the price we paid on the days we went. It wasn't horrible. I would go back BUT YMMV so this was my experience. Location was great. Right on the boardwalk and an easy walk to Hard Rock when we went to the concert. Service was meh. The only time I had a friendly anyone in the establishment was the woman who checked us out. Everyone else that we interacted with were either disinterested or perfunctory. No help on where to find our rooms, no help on any services offered. We didn't even get the annoying (did you want to sign up for our card?) that you get in ****** hotels. I guess that was a plus. From my understanding we were on the ”older side” of the establishment. But regardless, staying on an entire floor that says non smoking it smelled of smoke. both cigarettes and ****. I don't care if you do either but I do care to smell either in my room or right outside my door (defeats the whole purpose of non smoking). Everything is dated which is whatever. but the blinds didn't work the coffee maker wire was too short for the ”dresser” so you had to keep moving it to the nightstand to use it. The room itself was relatively clean although the back of the nightstands hadn't been touched in a long time with all that accumulation of dust. Its design is just...weird. like so much random open area. I guess you can dance there lol. The ”dresser” didn't have drawers it had...like cubby holes. We didn't use them seemed pointless. I didn't even bother with the tv it was too far away and faced away from any sitting area (again weird layout). The ****** itself was ok. Nothing crazy although I did like that rotating bar they had. But again. EVERYWHERE just reeked of smoke. To use a comparison, at Hard Rock when you were on the ****** side sure people smoked there (i get it) but the hotel side of things smelled clean refreshing and airy. In the end, manage expectations and you'll be fine. If you are a smoker I am sure you will be fine too. If all you plan to do is sleep there its fine (although we were on the 7th floor and could still hear the music bumping below but the music was good so w/e lol) It works, again its not horrible. Its definitely 2.5-3 star range."

"From the moment I arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive. I loved that the hotel is 21+, which creates a peaceful, upscale, and relaxing atmosphere. The room was beautiful, clean, and stylish, with two very comfortable beds and an open porch overlooking the beach. Sitting on the bed and watching the waves was amazing, and at night the sound of the ocean put me to sleep so comfortably. Great coffee in the room, excellent bath products, a nice bar, and a perfect location next to Salt Restaurant. I truly felt relaxed, well taken care of, and refreshed. Highly recommend and would definitely return."

"The constant assistance and exceptional, professional staff was over the top and beyond. It was First Class in an old victorian style hotel. Having access to The Congress Hall was lovely.  The pool time there was exceptional ...got it all in before the tornado! We loved the convenience to everything, and the shuttle service was a nice touch, when needed. One thing I would recommend is the tree to be trimmed down a bit, so when driving up to The Virginia Hotel you can see the sign, with no problem. Well done. We highly recommend The Virginia Hotel!"

"We had an excellent view with a very clean room. We chose the Bayview and it was indeed an excellent choice. Many stores in the hotel to shop and food and drinks. Very family friendly as well. We really enjoyed our stay."

"The staff's demeanor was somewhat unfriendly. Security personnel visited our door, requesting that we minimize noise, even though we were not loud to begin with. We perceived that staff members were unjustly picking on us and attempting to find reasons for additional charges. Unfortunately, racial bias seemed to be a contributing factor."

"From the moment we arrived, Asbury Ocean Club Hotel exceeded every lofty expectation we had set. George and Neil welcomed us with genuine warmth, handling our bags effortlessly and walking us through the property with the kind of thoughtful orientation that makes a guest feel instantly at home. That same care echoed across every corner of the hotel. Our Dune Suite was beautifully appointed, blending modern design with quiet comfort, the perfect retreat after long days by the shore. The pool deck offered sweeping ocean views, the workout facilities were pristine and well equipped, and the drawing room felt like a serene escape, ideal for a quiet morning coffee or an evening unwind with a book. Dining was a true highlight. The bar delivered outstanding cocktails crafted with precision, and the Mother's Day menu stood out as a memorable culinary experience, beautifully plated and full of seasonal flavor. Service throughout was attentive without ever feeling intrusive. Asbury Ocean Club delivers genuine five star hospitality in a setting that feels both refined and refreshingly relaxed. We left already counting down to our next visit, and we cannot recommend it more highly."

"The room facilities are relatively old, the location is good, there is a supermarket next to it, which mainly sells various foods and regular daily necessities. Rutgers University is nearby, and there is a university bus stop downstairs"

"One day stay. Our room was outdated. But the convenience of having the casino and the many restaurants upstairs were very nice. I would visit again,"

"This hotel was a good choice very clean very posh selection I love how the hotel had two sides one side updates stayed on the updated side the guests at the hotel were very friendly staff members were friendly it was an amazing time"
