And the bakery on the first floor is definitely worth a mention – they have a great selection of tempting breads, perfect for a quick breakfast in the morning."

"I stayed with my parents and children. It may be a new hotel seven years after the hotel was built, but the lobby, rooms, baths and restaurants were well cleaned and beautiful. Amenity was also substantial, and cleansing, face wash, face lotion and face milk bottles were also in the room. It was comfortable to use with DHC hotel amenities. There were plenty of drinks, green tea, roasted tea, tea, apple tea, coffee, and the fashionable Delongi electric kettle was good. Both dinner and breakfast had Japanese food, but it was very delicious and the restaurant staff were very friendly and satisfied. For dinner, there are a small amount of dishes for １ １, but there are many kinds, so women will be full by the time dessert comes. It may be a little short for men who eat a lot, so I think it's a good idea to eat cooked rice that can be refilled or eat noodles at the night restaurant. There are vegetables and fish, and it seems to be good for the body, but I think that there is a good part of the hotel with the Viking for children who like and dislike a lot. The souvenirs at the shop include Nasu sweets, fruit park forest-style jam, sake, key chains, and children's toys, but it feels like a minimum assortment. I was a little unsatisfactory for me who likes to see souvenirs, but there is a color 々 shop during sightseeing, so the hotel has the intention of spending a relaxing time in hot springs and rooms. The hot spring was convenient because the room had bath towels and face towels brought from the room, plastic bags and socks that could be put in wet towels, and a basket that was okay even if it was wet. It was pleasant and fun to be able to soak in the inner bath, the open-air bath, and the hot springs of 々. It was a pity that the weather was bad and I couldn't see the starry sky at night, but it depends on luck. Free ice candy and fruit vinegar drinks were provided after the bath. If I went well, I had a disappointing experience, not as much as I expected, but this hotel was a calm atmosphere hotel and it was really the best hotel for adults. I would like to go again."

"Not so worth the price..view from room was good, location was good, but food not worth for what i paid for, dinner and breakfast served a bit normal, taste normal, when breakfast time i ask for a pack of seaweed(only 2 packs on table), the staff was very loud and replied me 'No No No'! Like I'm requesting addditional main dishes from them, I''m a bit shock this is just a small thing and didn't worth a lot of money, you can just reply me 'we don't provide additional, we have only this 1 small pack for 1 customer' will do right, a bit disappointed on this part. Anyways staff at reception was nice!"

"This concept hotel in Nikko had been on my radar for a while. The guest rooms and lounge, meticulously designed by the owner, Mr. Tomiyama, exude a depth you won't find in other hotels. It made for a uniquely charming trip, something big chain hotels just can't offer. It was also very educational, as the owner personally served our meals and chatted with us! If you prefer typical, pristine hotels or well-known brands, this might not be for you. However, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a travel experience that's a bit out of the ordinary! Finally, please note that the mountain view rooms do not have bathtubs, and there's no large public bath on site. So, if a good bath is a priority for you, this might not be the best choice."

"4.5 stars!  Property is older but extremely well maintained.  The corner western/Japanese rooms are spacious with two western beds and tatami area, single japanese bath and shower area and separate toilet area, mini fridge, tv, sitting area overlooking the river and table with four chairs as well as a massage chair!  Onsen area has both indoor and outdoor areas separate for men and women and a cold plunge as well as multiple hot baths.  Minus half a star for low staffing in the store/cafe areas (often no staff member to be found when kakigori desired), no in house lunch option and overly fatty meat on the 3rd night dinner (breakfast and dinner were LARGE and BEAUTIFUL but perhaps heavy on the yuba.  Also, shuttle to the train station is only at 10 and 11am and getting cabs is difficult.  However, would overwhelmingly recommend Nikko Senhime Monogatari!"

"We stayed in the hotel for one night as we explored the nearby areas. This was one of the best hotel we have stayed for this trip. The hotel is clean, front desk are friendly and it is very conveniently located. We booked the hotel with breakfast as we read review on how great the breakfast was and we were not disappointed. Hotel guests could choose between a western menu or a traditional Japanese menu and we opted for the Japanese buffet breakfast for the great sashimi and tempura. The free tea rice at night is so delicious. Hotel provides quality amenities for all hotel guests The face mask and face wash are such a sweet gesture from them. Though we have to pay 1200 yen for over night parking, it is still worth staying at the hotel. Highly recommend it."

"The room was spacious and clean, which was great. Even though it was just a stay without meals, we were able to use the lounge in the evening for alcoholic drinks, soft drinks, and snacks! However, the serving times were a bit short, so it would have been even better if there was drip coffee in the room. I would definitely like to stay here again next time."

"This is amazing! The location next to the train station makes it easy to get to all the attractions. The man working at the reception desk deserves a bonus! He explained everything so well and was very informative. The breakfast is delicious, especially the toast with whipped cream. The rooms are large and spacious, and the bed is comfortable. There's also bottled water in the room. The amenities are excellent too; they provide toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel everywhere. I'd happily return!"
