"Had a really pleasant stay here in early August! The hotel was very clean and beautifully designed. The room was also clean, comfortable, and a great place to relax. The staff were very helpful, nice, and friendly throughout our stay. There are only two facilities — a swimming pool and a gym — but that actually makes the hotel feel more peaceful and less crowded. With only 22 rooms, it was very quiet and comfortable, which I really enjoyed. The breakfast selection was a little limited, but overall, it was still a great stay. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a peaceful and relaxing place to stay! Would definitely come back again. 😊"

"The location is great, within walking distance to all the places I wanted to go. There are just a few areas that could use some improvement. The underground parking lot is a bit steep, so you have to drive slowly, otherwise, cars with lower clearance might scrape. The elevator is a bit slow, and sometimes it doesn't stop when you press the button, going straight up or down instead, meaning you have to wait again. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, but luckily there's plenty of great food outside."

"The hotel's location is superb 👍🏻 It's connected to the large mall next door, so everything you need is right there. They even offer free late-night snacks from 11 PM to 12 AM: the unsweetened soy milk is delicious and super smooth (you can add syrup yourself), the black glutinous rice sweet soup isn't too sweet or greasy 👍🏻, and there's also plain congee (with various toppings like shredded pork floss available). It's truly impressive and makes you feel at home. The room is very clean, and the bed is incredibly comfortable for sleeping. At night, it's just a 10-minute walk to the dessert and snack street. Driving to Gaowen Street for bean sprout chicken and local specialties is super close, just a few minutes away 👍🏻 👍🏻. I'll definitely stay at this fantastic Weil Hotel again on my next trip to Ipoh. "Checking in was swift. Room was of a good size. Bed and pillows were all good. Aircon was erratic and noisy. One minute it was warm and the next, freezing. We could not adjust the temperature setting. Like it was already pre set. There was only 1 box of toothbrush in the bathroom, even though it was a room for 2. The most annoying part was the shower area whereby when you are showering, you are standing in a pool of soapy water. Even till the next morning, there's still water in the shower area. It wasn't fully drained. Someone should probably check on room 548. Breakfast was just ok. Was somewhat surprised that people would use their bare hands to pick up the bread they were going to slice instead of using tongs or the cloth provided. I do not know whether her hands were clean or dirty, and as such, avoided the bread section."

"Belum Rainforest Resort offers a scenic retreat with comfortable, well-appointed rooms and great amenities—the infinity pool overlooking the lake was a particular standout. However, the on-site restaurant was a letdown. Half the menu was unavailable throughout our stay, the service was consistently slow, and the quality of the food was hit-and-miss, more miss then hit as the location is remote you can only have the onsite resturant food. The absolute highlight of the trip was our nature tour with Muhammad (Inn). His infectious enthusiasm and fun, engaging approach brought the rainforest to life and made the excursion truly memorable. It is a fantastic destination for nature lovers, but the dining operations definitely need improvement from service to menu items, if half of the menu is not available then update the menu please."

"I stayed here for a solo 2-day, 1-night trip. I love the Bali vibe, and the moment I saw it on a travel site, I knew this was the place and booked it. The interior definitely exuded that Balinese atmosphere, which was lovely. What I particularly liked was the spacious bathtub. With cushions to support your back and a ceiling about 3 meters high, it was a very open and relaxing space where I could unwind. Also, after check-out, they held my bag for me, and while I was killing time, the reception staff offered me lemongrass water. I was so touched by their thoughtfulness. Thank you! On the other hand, there were a few disappointing points. There was a leak in the bathroom, poor TV connection, no conditioner in the bathroom, and no salt or pepper on the dining table during breakfast (I think it would be more efficient if they confirmed the room number with guests, then seated them, confirmed their order, and then prepared the food). The reception area was hot, and because it's outdoors, there were inevitably insects that sometimes landed on the food. Some of these issues were promptly addressed by the maintenance team, and they even prepared two types of breakfast for me. The location, being a bit away from the city center, was quiet and peaceful, which was nice."

"Had a lovely long weekend getaway and stayed in the sea villas. The facilities were amazing with fresh water pools, tennis courts, gym and several restaurants with an excellent food selection. Our favourite was fisherman's cove which had more of a western cuisine. Overall we had a really pleasant stay. However having stayed at other similar resorts at a similar price it felt like it was lacking. I know how can I complain about staying in paradise? The area for improvement would be: an additional hose shower head instead of just the overhead one. Cleanliness of the library area. Greeting cold towels and drinks at the main lobby. Selection of shampoos, soaps and moisturisers. Eco-friendly toothbrush and energy controller with key card. Aircon and lights had to be turned off manually if we left the room. I would definitely go again but it would be nice if they took on more eco friendly initiatives."

Voyage Retreat Pulau Pangkor

On the whole of Pangkor Island, the Hornbill Retreat is the best hotel. The facilities are very new, and I particularly love the dry/wet separation in the room layout. The wash basin and shelves are set up in the middle corridor, which is very convenient to use, allowing space for luggage and various items. The row of benches outside the room is perfect for an immersive experience enjoying the mountain views and chatting with family and friends – it's fantastic. The owner personally greeted us and gave a brief introduction and arrangement. His Chinese is excellent 👍. The hotel has its own restaurant, and the complimentary breakfast is very high-end. It's open to the public for breakfast and dinner, but not lunch. Surprisingly, the prices are even cheaper than outside cafes, and the food is tastier 😋 – truly amazing! The restaurant offers sea views, and on clear days, you can even catch a beautiful sunrise!

This was our second stay here. First, a lovely lady at the front desk (apologies, I didn't catch her name tag) provided very attentive and detailed service. She proactively explained many check-in specifics and shared upgrade offers. Unfortunately, the housekeeping staff clearly missed some things and didn't thoroughly check if all in-room amenities were complete. The pillowcases weren't on the pillows, the conditioner and shower gel in the bathroom were empty, and there was only one tissue left in the box. When I called the front desk for these supplies, some were still missing when they were delivered. Hilton is a well-known upscale international hotel, and such oversights really shouldn't happen. I hope to see improvement on our next visit.

The room facilities were old and the soundproofing was poor. The gap under the door was quite large; after turning off the lights, the light coming through the door gap was bright enough to serve as a nightlight. The toilet in the room was faulty; it wouldn't stop flushing immediately and would automatically refill after emptying, which was a bit noisy. The location was decent, with plenty of food options and the night market not far away. The Chinese-American lady who checked me in provided excellent service.

I only stayed one day in Ipoh as a stopover. This hotel isn't in the city center, and it's not particularly close to the train station either. However, there are some other small shops within the same building, which makes for a decent collection. The environment is pretty good; it has an industrial design, but it doesn't look run-down. The room was small, but it matched the price. The first room we were given had a connecting door to the next room, so we asked to switch, and the front desk lady cheerfully changed it for us. There's a gym with treadmills, bikes, ellipticals, and some strength training equipment. Not many people seemed to use the gym, but the environment was nice and air-conditioned. I worked out for an hour and felt great afterwards.

My stay at The Banjaran was a truly rejuvenating experience. Surrounded by nature, lush greenery and peaceful surroundings, it was the perfect place to slow down, disconnect and simply enjoy some quiet time. I loved the sense of privacy and calm throughout the resort, which allowed me to rest both physically and mentally. The natural hot springs, beautiful landscape and serene atmosphere made the stay even more special. It was wonderful to step away from the usual busy routine and just recharge. A peaceful and refreshing escape that left me feeling relaxed, renewed and ready to return again.

Cleanliness, super comfy room and lobby, friendly staff, single bed but still can fit 1 adult n 1 child below 11 yrs old to share together. Hotel near Aeon Mall, Stadium Indera Ipoh, Night market, pump station. Need to improve on parking lot area..Provide more on selection of variety of food for ala carte and also buffet breakfast, lunch or dinner.. The price for set and ala carte very cheap n affordable. The portion also big.. 1 plate fried rice can share with 2 person n taste was good. Recommended to stay here n will repeat in future.
