Next time I'm in Taipei, I'd love to stay at the Grand Hotel again! I particularly enjoy hotels with a rich history, and the Grand Hotel was the perfect choice in Taipei. We stayed in the Kirin Hall in the back building, and they provided a dedicated car to take us there, even helping with our luggage throughout the journey – truly excellent! The Kirin Hall rooms offer direct views of Taipei 101, which was fantastic. The hotel also has two secret tunnels that guests can tour, and since we stayed for a week, we got to see both, which I really enjoyed. A huge convenience is the free shuttle service; besides the regular shuttle to Yuanshan Station, they also offer a weekend service to Jiantan Station. The only minor improvement I'd suggest is for the housekeeping to be a bit more meticulous (it's already very good, but sometimes I noticed a few hairs that weren't cleaned). Overall, it was an excellent stay, and I'll definitely be back!

Splendid resort with fabulous breadfast and perfect location. The breakfast spread is wide, ranging from the local Taiwan porridge with plenty of delicious side dishes to cooked food, assorted bread and western breakfasts. It's open till 11am daily. Resort is a mere 5 mins walk to xiao wan beach and the night market. For those who don't drive, there is a bus stop outside the resort serving local bus and bus to kaohsiung. Cleanliness is definitely above average and the staffs are always wearing a smile and greets us which definitely makes us feel welcomed. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for place to stay in kenting.

The hotel itself was truly wonderful, offering a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The amenities provided were excellent and met all expectations for a pleasant visit. However, I must politely suggest that there is room for improvement at the reception. While the staff were not impolite, their attentiveness and efficiency could be enhanced. A smoother reception experience would elevate the overall guest satisfaction.

The environment is great, with a mall downstairs that houses several major brands – perfect for a rainy day. The surrounding area is also very convenient, with plenty of places for a walk. Ningxia Night Market is within walking distance, not too far at all. Service and cleanliness are excellent. The front desk lady who checked me in was Japanese and spoke Mandarin; she was friendly and patient. The bellboy was also very polite, proactively helping us with our luggage and very chatty. I had left a note requesting a firm pillow, and housekeeping brought it to me the very next day, which was fantastic. However, the facilities are really hard to rate... The hotel is quite old. My room was on the top floor and lacked the desk and chair shown in the pictures, as well as the shelf under the TV that could be used for storage. On the top floor, there was an intermittent low-frequency noise during the day, whether from the air conditioning or something else, which was quite uncomfortable. Fortunately, it wasn't there at night when I was sleeping. I don't think the room facilities are up to five-star standards, but the service and breakfast were still excellent. Location is 5/5 for the walkability to Banqiao MRT station which connects you to the local MRT as well the regional train lines. The room and bathroom was extremely spacious with a bathtub. Although the shower stall tends to leak out water due to the gap in the glass panels of the door so we had to lay towels on the bathroom floor to prevent falling after the shower. Service rendered was warm and friendly on our arrival, especially notable was Alan at the concierge, whose suggestions on dinner spots were helpful when we first arrived tired and hungry. The roof top swimming pool had a fantastic view and was clean. We swam a little only as the weather was rainy and the pool water very cold. We had a good stay and if coming back to Banqiao, will stay again.

Overall, my stay at the hotel was excellent. The environment was clean and tidy, and the room was spacious and comfortable with soft bedding. The facilities were also quite comprehensive. The front desk staff were very welcoming, and check-in was quick. The surrounding area has convenient transportation, making it easy to dine and shop. I would consider staying here again.

Very good service from counter and concierge staff! Room was HUGE with amenities and automated water bidet. Vanity mirror was huge and has lighting with it. Love that the shower and toilet area are separated. Would definitely come back again! Thank you!

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. It is located opposite Taipei Main Station. Hence commuting by MRT or High Speed Rail (HSR) is very convenient. The room is spacious and comes with a huge round bathtub. A bottle of red wine was complementary during our stay. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. They provided guidance to places I would like to go, and offer me an umbrella as it was drizzling. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would recommend this hotel.

This is my second stay here, and I still love it! The location is right next to Kenting Street. This time, I brought my husband for his birthday, and the hotel even gifted us a small cake. The staff are all very friendly and enthusiastic, making for an excellent stay. I'd definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Kenting. It's so relaxing sitting by the rooftop pool, and we also received drink vouchers for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages! 😆

Very clean and nice hotel everything is very organised , good location and friendly frontdesk .ALL the staff are simply exceptional, especially the frontdesk- Lia Wu , Emily Chen and Wendy Liu. , they showed their professionalism by introducing this new hotel and the surroundings to us . They are so helpful to assist us with our luggages and personally deliver to our room. Every interaction with them felt warm and welcoming . The breakfast is good with many choices , restaurant manager and staff are friendly too. Overall the staff’s commitment to guest satisfaction made a truly memorable stay.
