"It was a little disappointing when the receptionist was being quite unprofessional as I approached her for a spare room card. She told me that the guest was British after I told her my surname meaning that she didn't consider that a Chinese person can be British, how backwards and ****** such behavior this is. Lack of exposure might be the answer ;however, I was expecting a lot more from a 4 star establishment. Must I stress that the reason we conversed in Mandarin is a respect to the local staff yet it always backfires in situation like this. More training should be provided."

"Had a great stay at this hotel! The hotel was clean, staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the location was excellent — near the MRT station and the famous Liuhe Night Market. It’s also close to places like the Love River and Pier-2, and just one station away from Formosa Boulevard. The room was spacious, and the free coffee and snacks during the day were a nice bonus. Would definitely recommend this hotel for couples, families, or anyone exploring Kaohsiung."

"The room was smaller than expected, amenities was also fewer than expected. However the location was good, bus stop was just infront of the hotel and train station was a few minutes away only. Service was also great but its sad that we have to pay for extra hotel card. Overall hotel was good, just hope they improve the amenities considering the hotel wasnt cheap."

"Such a convenient location and walking distance to the Feng Jia night market. They provide snacks and drinks in the hotel room, but pls check the expired date. Hmmm"

"Pool was under maintenance during the period of stay. Location though at night market was still a distance away from railway station. Taxi fare abt TWD220. There was hotel shuttle service but no clear instructions on how to book in advance. Info not available on trip.com. Concierge staff did not readily offer the service also. Was told only available to members. Not for 3rd party booking. Am disappointed. Room was spacious. 2 queen size beds. But toilet and bathroom were small. Head will hit the door if I sit at toilet bowl and lean just a bit forward. The bathroom door hits the rain shower head, so if not notice, and open the door with force may break the glass door. Yellow lights in the room were very dim. Make ambience cozy and classy but very straining to the eyes. 2 out of 3 laundry machines out of order. Laundry powder did not dispense from vending machine. Hv to change coins at lobby when laundry is at 6th floor. Overall, not quite up to expectations unfortunately."

"Overall, my stay was quite good. The room was clean and tidy, and the bed was comfortable, making for a very quiet stay. The location is convenient, with plenty of dining options and easy access to transportation nearby. The staff were friendly and efficient; both check-in and check-out went smoothly. While the facilities aren't brand new, they are well-maintained, and I had a comfortable stay. I would consider staying here again if I return to Kaohsiung."

"Our stay at Green World Zhonghua was a mix of positives and disappointments. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its excellent location. It is right in the heart of Ximending, with the Ximending Shopping District just across the street. There is also a 7-Eleven right beside the hotel, which is very convenient. If you’re arriving by MRT, the hotel entrance is located beside Exit X5, and you can also easily access it from Exits X4 and 5. It is definitely one of the best locations for exploring Taipei. Unfortunately, our experience with the hotel itself was disappointing. Some of the staff were not very friendly and were extremely strict with the check-in policy. Check-in is exactly at 3:00 PM, and if you want to check in earlier, they charge TWD 300 per hour. We had just completed a 24-hour journey, arrived early in the morning with six pieces of luggage, and had to wait almost six hours. We completely understand that hotels have check-in policies, but considering how exhausted we were, a little flexibility or hospitality would have been appreciated. What made it even more frustrating was that when we finally entered our room, it wasn’t clean. We found stains on the pillowcase and the bathroom was not properly cleaned. (Photos attached.) This was unacceptable, especially after waiting so long. We booked a Standard Room for a seven-night stay, knowing it would be small, but we did not expect the air conditioning to stop working after only two days. Two maintenance staff attempted to repair it but were unable to fix the problem. We ended up using only a fan for the remainder of our stay. The hotel also had no water for one evening, which added to the inconvenience. When we raised our concerns about the cleanliness and the air conditioning, the response from the staff was disappointing. Instead of offering a proper solution, they simply suggested that we cancel our reservation and move to another hotel. With our luggage and after everything we had already gone through, that was not a realistic option. The breakfast was another letdown. The weekday menu was almost exactly the same every day, while weekends only had two or three different dishes. Considering the hotel’s location, I would actually recommend skipping the breakfast and eating outside instead. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés, and local food stalls nearby that offer much better food at reasonable prices. Overall, I would rate this hotel mainly for its outstanding location. If convenience is your top priority, it’s hard to beat. However, based on our experience with the cleanliness, staff attitude, unresolved air conditioning issue, water outage, and repetitive breakfast, I don’t think we would choose to stay here again."

"Extremely satisfied with my stay... highly recommend! The price for a hotel of this standard was incredibly good... The only downside was that check-in isn't until after 3 PM! They wanted an extra NT$300 to check in an hour earlier... such a rip-off! There's plenty of great food nearby too, which was fantastic!"
