"It was a little disappointing when the receptionist was being quite unprofessional as I approached her for a spare room card. She told me that the guest was British after I told her my surname meaning that she didn't consider that a Chinese person can be British, how backwards and ****** such behavior this is. Lack of exposure might be the answer ;however, I was expecting a lot more from a 4 star establishment. Must I stress that the reason we conversed in Mandarin is a respect to the local staff yet it always backfires in situation like this. More training should be provided."

"We stayed one night only and missed the night market, but hotel is well located with fruits retailers all away and easily accessible to ferry and train station. Hotel is clean and room size is big, staff services is also kind and helpful. Breakfast is also good with lot of local cuisines available. One of the best choices in local area we reckon."

"Our room is on the 10th floor and it is big. Air Conditioner is working well, room is cool.  Laundry on the 7th floor, very convenient.  Bathroom is clean. Only draw back is when taking shower, the water flows out from the inside edge of the tub and the back wall edge and onto the floor, making the floor super wet.  "

"I stayed for a week and overall had a great experience. I'd definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Kaohsiung. Pros: The hotel's location is excellent; there's a supermarket right across the street and it's close to the Liuhe Tourist Night Market. The staff are warm and friendly, especially the cleaning aunties who proactively ask if you need your room cleaned or water replenished. Areas for improvement: The bathroom has poor ventilation, which leads to an odor. The air conditioning temperature cannot be adjusted. The mattress is quite hard, making for an uncomfortable sleep."

"The hotel isn't too far from the train station, but it's a bit inconvenient to walk there with luggage. The hotel itself has a lot of character, and the sofa next to the elevator is very comfortable! One small downside: I had requested a non-smoking room, but shortly after checking in, I started to smell smoke. I'm guessing someone else was smoking in their room, and the smell came through the vents. There's a delicious soy milk breakfast place near the hotel!"

"I had a very satisfying three-day, two-night stay at Bancheng Pulv Hotel. The hotel is newly opened, so the overall environment is very new. From the lobby to the rooms, everything was clean and bright, and the facilities were all in excellent condition, making for a very comfortable stay. The biggest advantage of a new hotel is its modern facilities, and I could feel the hotel's dedication to environmental maintenance during my stay. The location is also a major highlight. Huangshi Market is right downstairs, and the surrounding area is full of local restaurants. Whether it's breakfast, snacks, dinner, or late-night meals, there are plenty of options, allowing you to easily sample Banqiao's local delicacies. The amenities are incredibly convenient. Overall, Bancheng Pulv Hotel performed very well in terms of accommodation quality, cleanliness, and location. The modern and comfortable environment left a very good impression. If I ever visit Banqiao again, this hotel will definitely be one of my top choices, and I will definitely return!"
