"Very convenient, located just beside the train station. Recently renovated and beautiful interior with new and modern furnishings. Able to store luggage before check-in and after check-out. The public onsen was a plus but usually crowded so I did not use it. Room and private bathroom is very small but I suppose within expectations for Japan. Still able to open one large luggage inside the room."

"For a traditional Japanese hotel, this location is truly exceptional, perfect for experiencing the Edo-era scenery of Kurashiki. You can easily stroll around, take photos, and go shopping right outside the hotel in the evening or morning. I highly recommend visiting and staying at least one night to experience it. The gentleman at the evening counter was incredibly welcoming, enthusiastically introducing the hotel's architecture and history, and even invited us to the banquet hall on the second floor, where we were awestruck by the massive wooden beams. Such warmth and hospitality made for a wonderful time and a truly memorable experience."

"Highly recommended Service: Top-notch service by the reception. Left our bags there as it was not time to check-in and by the time we came back to check-in, they were already in our room. Receptionist was really friendly and can converse in English. Location: Really strategic and was the right choice for us as it was the rainy season when we stayed. The hotel is directly connected to the JR Okayama station via a covered bridge and there is no need go under the rain (or sun) to get to our hotel. There is also a big AEON mall behind the hotel, a nice Don Quijote and Takashimaya department store across the street. The electric tramway stop is also just across the street and can get you to places like Okayama castle, Korakuen garden and food places at Omotecho shopping street. Room: Really spacious with enough room to even open 2-3 luggage bags side-by-side. Toilet is separate from bath (which I prefer) and bathtub was huge. Amenities: They provide free drinks (including few bottles of red and white wine) and great coffee/tea sachets. Bath salts, travel kits (skin care and bath) were provided as well. Price: May be on the higher side but understandable due to the points above. I would say it is reasonable. Wifi: The connectivity is just awful. It might be cause I was allocated the far corner/end room but it was really unstable and I had to use my own travel data most of the time. I find this is a really important point for the hotel to take note as overseas travellers usually have a very limited data allowance and would often need to rely on the hotel's wifi to surf the net (or do social media uploads/postings)"

"In general a very good stay. Breakfast was surprisingly great, very big selection of good high quality food. The only thing that wasn’t great was that in order to use the gym you had to have separate indoor shoes (as standard in Japan nothing surprising there) but to rent the only payment method was paypay which basically no foreigners has. I was looking forward for the gym but couldn’t use it due to these reasons. The second disappointing thing was that the pool doesn’t have very clear opening seasons. During pool season, the pool costs extra but during off season it should be free to enter the pool terrace. I thought it was off season already but the door to the pool was closed anyway."

"This hotel is a bit older but still comfortable. The rooms are much larger than standard, though the soundproofing isn't great. The location is excellent, right near the entrance to the Kurashiki Canal, and there's plenty of parking. The staff were very helpful with directions. Breakfast wasn't particularly varied."

"The staff I came came across were all very polite and had welcoming smiles, no matter at the reception desk or the restaurant on 20/F. I enjoyed my stay here, but it felt comparable to the 3 star hotels, just slightly better especially thanks to the fabulous breakfast and location of breakfast…If hotels have half stars, i would think it’s’more of a 3.5 star hotel instead of a 4. I have a few suggestions which the hotel can look into to improve in the future. 3 Things to improve on: 1) I picked this hotel because I read other reviews saying the hotel is connected to a bridge from the Okayama station. This is true but unfortunately there were no signs in the station to guide travellers unlike another hotel like Granvia. Google suggested that I look for the west exit which I did, but I ended up being at the ground level hence had to bring big suitcase all the stairs…then I spotted the bridge and ANA crowne plaza from the street 2) cleanliness can be improved. There’s a UCC drip coffee machine in the room. I don’t drink coffee, and the box for the drip coffee selection was refilled. However I spotted a used capsule on the floor near the wall. The bin was not blocking the view, so the cleaners could’ve easily spotted the rubbish if they had been a little more careful and looked under the table when they have to clear out the rubbish bin anyway. 3) I sent a message to the hotel via TRIP.com. The message wasn’t replied promptly, as in within a few hours. Ultimately it didn’t matter anymore, I arrived at the hotel before somebody managed to reply me. Maybe it’s the system that’s problematic which may have caused a lag? Or staff only look at mails/messages when not too busy at the front desk?"

"This is the most valuable hotel I've stayed in Japan so far. The rooms are spacious, the hot springs are excellent, the breakfast is rich, and the service attitude is especially good, which can be regarded as a benchmark in Japan. There is a free shuttle bus from the station to the hotel, and it takes about 10 minutes to walk. On the way, you will pass a wetland river with a walking path and beautiful scenery. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel is right next to the hot spring street, which is convenient for travel. The rooms are clean, well-equipped, and quiet at night. Breakfast and dinner are very rich and taste good. It is a typical Japanese hotel."

"We were traveling with a baby, so we were looking for a comfortable hotel that was kid-friendly, and we found this place! They had already pushed the beds together to prevent falls and even prepared a kids' mouthwash cup for us. The service was excellent, going above and beyond while still being discreet. The room was spacious and quiet, and we had an incredibly comfortable stay. The room included a refrigerator with a freezer, a toaster, a kettle, a hairdryer, and a curling iron. We'll definitely stay here again if we visit Kurashiki. The location was convenient, and even though we had a car, there was a coin-operated parking lot right in front specifically for kei cars, which was a lifesaver. We brought food back to the room to eat, and there's a large shopping complex on the opposite side of Kurashiki Station, so we had no trouble at all finding what we needed. Thank you so much!"

"酒店應該是湯鄉温泉最貴的一家，但是到了酒店會感覺物有所值。酒店佈置很雅緻，到處有插花 ，感受到對細節的和品味的追求。交通上有湯鄉温泉的免費接送巴士（單程一個小時）到了站後，酒店巴士已經等候，兩分鐘後可到酒店。這裏特別感謝攜程的酒店管家，預約聯繫工作認真負責🌹 服務很好，出了電梯會有工作人員等候帶進吃飯的包間，每道菜也會詳細介紹。晚餐 清酒梅酒居然不收費，也是第一次遇到，瞬間覺得性價比很高 😃 湯鄉温泉街很冷清 ，選擇這裏適合單純的泡温泉休息放鬆。"
