Facilities: The facilities are comprehensive, with a fridge, smart toilet, smart speaker, and electric curtains in the room. The hotel also has a laundry room and a gym. However, there's only one elevator, so expect a wait during peak hours. The room has a balcony, but the soundproofing could be improved. Hygiene: Up to standard, no obvious flaws, but there's room for improvement. Environment: Located on a corner at a crossroads, with supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The subway station is right downstairs, and Changying Tianjie shopping mall is just across the street. Very convenient. However, the window faces an office building, which is quite close. Service: Excellent. Quick response and a great attitude. They even upgraded my room proactively. The breakfast was also very good, with a wide variety of options.

A friend who was accompanying my daughter to take an exam recommended this hotel to me. I felt very comfortable when I opened the door. I booked an executive double room. The room was large and clean. Both the front desk and the cleaning lady were very enthusiastic and helpful. There was unlimited drinking water in the room. The service was very thoughtful. Next time I have the chance to come to Beijing, this will be my first choice!

I came to Beijing for Zhou Shen's concert at the Bird's Nest and wanted to visit the Forbidden City, so I chose the relatively close Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing Beijing. The hardware facilities and service were, as expected, impeccable. What truly surprised me was that Tina and William from the front office discreetly prepared photos of Zhou Shen – and even framed them! Zhou Shen was wearing his new 'bunny' outfit from the concert. I was incredibly touched; it shows how dedicated the hotel is to its guests, making you feel right at home. I left in a hurry and forgot to ask who wrote the little card; not only was it clever, but the handwriting was beautiful too. The complimentary daily teas from the hotel were also delicious and always different. From now on, when I visit Beijing, I'll definitely stay at your hotel! My sincere thanks to all the hotel staff for their excellent service, and I wish everyone a Happy Mid-Autumn Festival again. May the hotel's business prosper and everyone's endeavors be successful!

Amazing! We spent five nights staying in a deluxe king room with terrace/balcony at The Purple Horse Hotel in Beijing at the end of June 2026.. The location is excellent. The hotel is situated in the heart of a Hutong which offers a calm quiet and serene experience in the middle of a bustling city, only a short walk to restaurants and shops. The Hutong itself is a great experience, it's safe and friendly and we enjoyed chatting to the locals at the corner shop. The hotel is absolutely wonderful. It's less than two years old and It is finished to a really high standard, the attention to detail is incredible. It felt luxurious with the highest quality furnishings and the bathroom and shower were like something you would find in a spa. Our room had great views over the Hutong and the Beijing skyline and had excellent air conditioning. We had a buffet breakfast and a buffet dinner included and it was delicious and served in a beautiful restaurant on the top floor. Above that there was an amazing rooftop terrace with an outdoor swimming pool, a cocktail bar and 360⁰ views of the city. There is also a Peking duck restaurant on the ground floor, a gym and a self service complimentary laundry room. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. The level of service and the attentiveness of the staff is at a level that we have never experienced before. The staff are super friendly and polite and they are always trying to help. Our room was cleaned to an immaculate level every day and we were often left little gifts and kind notes. The service in the restaurant was great and once again always really kind and friendly, special mention to Nieve for looking after us so well. Anything we needed, any questions we had, the staff really went out of their way to help us and did so with big smiles on their faces and we had fun times in our interactions with them. Everyone had a good level of English, especially the front for house staff and management . If you want a comfortable, clean, modern hotel with great facilities, in a great, safe location and would like staff that will advise and help you and direct you and even organise trips and transport for you, then this is the hotel for you. We would like to thank some of the staff that really went out of their way to help us. Ella and Anduo who organised a print shop for us and helped us find some specific gift shops. Nieve for making us smile everyday in the restaurant. The housekeeping team for making our room so clean, comfortable and amazing every day. We have stayed in hotels all over the world but this one will always stand out for being that little bit different, for being so immaculate and for going the extra mile. The room design was very Chinese and absolutely beautiful! The stay experience was excellent. The bedding was very comfortable. The laundry room was well-equipped, making laundry very convenient. The front desk staff had a wonderful attitude.

The hotel is located in a hutong (alley) in Dongsi Sitiao, offering an authentic and tranquil Beijing hutong experience. You can easily go for a city walk, and the nearby Dongsi West Street and Longfusi commercial area provide a plethora of dining options. Subway Lines 5 and 6 are conveniently located in the Longfusi commercial area, about a ten-minute walk from the hotel. The hotel itself has well-equipped facilities, including a laundry room and a mini-gym, and the service is quite attentive. These are the hotel's advantages. On the more average side, the rooms are quite small, and both the bathroom and shower are separate and very compact. Given its location within the Second Ring Road hutongs and being a renovated old residence, this is understandable. However, some of the hotel's policies felt a bit stingy. During the National Day holiday, I booked four consecutive nights at over 1,000 RMB per night, but the minibar and afternoon tea were only complimentary on the first day and not for the following three. This feels unfair to guests staying for multiple nights. Therefore, I would recommend this hotel for those who want to experience Beijing's hutongs, but perhaps only for one night. For longer stays, there are other hotels and guesthouses with better service.

Location: The hotel is conveniently located a short walk from the entrance of Qianmen Street, about a 3-minute walk from Exit A of Zhushikou subway station. Heading north along Qianmen Street, you can reach Dashilar and Xianyukou Food Street, perfect for shopping, eating, and entertainment! 👍👍👍 The hotel has a retro feel, reminiscent of old Shanghai, with a touch of European charm. Hotel Service: The front desk staff were very enthusiastic, and the cleaning aunties did a thorough and diligent job daily, even helping to tidy up clothes – so thoughtful! 💖 Accommodation Experience: The room was clean and tidy, with a large wardrobe for storage. Although it faces the street, it wasn't particularly noisy, and having a window for ventilation was a nice touch. All in all, it was a fantastic experience, and I would definitely choose this hotel again if I have the chance to visit Beijing! 🏨😀🌟

⭐ A Comfortable Stay with Beautiful Walking Paths and a Great Breakfast We had a really pleasant stay at the Crowne Plaza Beijing Tongzhou. Overall, the hotel is comfortable, spacious, and a nice choice if you want a relaxing stay away from the busiest parts of central Beijing. 🛏️ Comfortable Rooms & Great Beds One of the things we enjoyed most was the room. The bed was very comfortable, making it easy to get a good night's sleep after a long day. Many of the rooms also have bathtubs, which is a really nice touch if you enjoy having a relaxing bath during your stay. The rooms felt spacious and comfortable, and overall the hotel has a pleasant, upscale atmosphere. 🥐 Breakfast Buffet Is Worth Trying I would definitely recommend the breakfast buffet. There was a good variety of food, making it easy to find something whether you prefer Chinese or Western-style breakfast. If breakfast is included with your stay, I would definitely take advantage of it. 🌳 Beautiful Surroundings for Walking Another highlight is the area around the hotel. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful paths and greenery, which makes it really enjoyable to go for a walk. It gives the hotel a peaceful and relaxing feeling, especially compared with staying in a busy city-center area. 🍽️ Restaurant Experience Needs Improvement Unfortunately, our experience at the hotel's restaurant was not nearly as good as our experience with the hotel and rooms. There were many empty tables, but the restaurant lights were not even fully turned on, which made the atmosphere feel strangely dark and unwelcoming. When we were seated, the table was still dirty and they only started cleaning it after we sat down. Another small but inconvenient detail was that we were given only one menu even though there were two of us. It would have been much more convenient to have two menus, especially when there were plenty of empty seats and tables available. ☕ Café: Very Disappointing Value The café was probably the biggest disappointment for us. An Americano costs around ¥38, which would be understandable if it were a larger or particularly special coffee, but the cup was extremely small. For ¥38, the portion felt far too small, and honestly, the price-to-value ratio was disappointing. This is definitely one area where I think the hotel could improve. ⭐ Overall Despite the issues with the restaurant and café, we still enjoyed our stay. The hotel itself is comfortable, the beds are great, many rooms have bathtubs, the breakfast buffet is worth trying, and the beautiful walking paths around the property are a big plus. I would happily recommend the hotel for the accommodation itself, especially if you value a comfortable room and a peaceful environment. I just hope the restaurant service, cleanliness, lighting, and café pricing can be improved because these details don't really match the otherwise nice experience of the hotel.

I've stayed at Ascott many times, and it's consistently excellent in all aspects. The rooms are incredibly spacious, and the amenities like the fridge and washing machine are all fully equipped. The environment is also very quiet; you barely hear any noise. It's super convenient for dining and drinks, with plenty of restaurants nearby. There's also Xiao Taihou Park close by, and it's not far from the subway station – about a 10-minute scooter ride.

I have been staying in this hotel since I came back a few years ago. It is very humane and upgraded me to a standard room on a high floor for free. I asked for a few more pairs of slippers, and they were given to me the day before yesterday. The price-performance ratio is very high. I will stay here again next time.
