Located in a busy area yet peaceful and quiet, our property features unique Dai-style architecture that makes for great photos everywhere, and it’s a wonderful place for leisurely walks. Menghai in Xishuangbanna is at an altitude of 1,200 meters, known as a spring-like city in Yunnan where air conditioning is hardly needed. It’s a famous natural oxygen bar, famous for Pu’er tea as its main industry, a peaceful haven away from the hustle and bustle. It’s less than a 30-minute drive from Jinghong City in Xishuangbanna. Nearby attractions include Nannuo Mountain, the ancient village of Zhanglang with a thousand-year history, and the Daluo Single Tree Forest, allowing you to immerse yourself in nature.
Our homestay mainly consists of high-floor rooms with a full view of the city. You can enjoy the lively city view right from your window. There are supermarkets and night markets just downstairs. The rooms are equipped with a washing machine, refrigerator and tea table, making it an ideal choice for business trips and long stays. "Thoughtfully designed and new rooms - simple but elegant and has everything you need for a quality stay. My room had a view of the mountains and green fields and it was a great sight to wake up to in the morning. There are plenty of places and balconies on both sides of the building for you to slow down, rest and enjoy tea.
Special compliment to the owner and his staff. They helped me with my luggage up the stairs, chatted with me every time they saw me, and invited me to drink with them one night. I made some great friends and can’t wait to come back.
If you’re in menghai, you won’t regret staying here!"

"The hotel environment is beautiful and perfect for a vacation. We checked in on February 24th, and it was still quite busy. The surrounding area is also lovely, nestled among mountains with fresh air. However, since the holiday wasn't quite over, the occupancy rate was high, and the hotel staff were clearly insufficient, leading to inadequate service. The swimming pool was neglected, filled with fallen leaves, making it unusable. In the restaurant, there were only a few staff members who were overwhelmed and eventually just gave up. For breakfast, with so many people, they simply couldn't keep up with clearing tables. Overall, aside from the nice environment, the service was virtually non-existent. The staff seemed untrained and couldn't answer many questions. It felt like they were overwhelmed by the crowd today. We had booked for four nights, but couldn't stand it anymore, so we checked out two nights early. The hotel was good about providing a full refund, which was a plus. I'd recommend it for vacationers who prioritize the environment, but avoid going during peak times; maybe then the service would improve."

"This stay was perfect! From the moment you step into the hotel, the warm and thoughtful front desk service makes you feel warm. "I stayed 3 nights and would love to have stayed more! I came for the tea and could not be happier with my experience. I learned a ton about how pu’er tea is made and graded and marketed and sold. My hosts were super-nice - they treated me like family. Special thanks to Abu, whose singing is nothing short of angelic. When she sang during my check-in I was amazed but worried that locals were expected to sing for guests. But a highlight of my stay - of my entire trip to China - was listening to her sing when she was working around the guesthouse and thought no one was listening. A quick piece of advice for new guests: get out and explore the local village/market/mountain. There’s so much to see here, and your hosts are proud of their community and culture and will help you appreciate it."

"It was truly an outstanding experience. Mr. Xu ended up driving us around for our entire stay - from tea stores to local Dai village, till sending us to the train station. We tasted amazing teas, tried local foods, made tea cakes, went to see ancient tea tree with him; he even invited us to dinner with his friends. Breakfast is amazing with view of clouds; the restaurant in the hotel has really good food. Fruit plate every afternoon; tea tasting with Jiangjiang, a Laobanzhang tea expert. We leaned so much about puer tea and tasted some of the best puer teas in the region. One of the most unforgettable stay ever for us and we are so grateful!"

GGuest UserI have always wanted to have a tea trip, so our first stop in Xishuangbanna was Nannuo Mountain. After checking a lot of information online, we found that the Tea House B&B was on Nannuo Mountain, and the boss could take us around the tea mountain according to the reviews. So we contacted the boss on the bus passing Xishuangbanna. After getting the affirmation, we got off the high-speed rail station at around 8 o'clock in the evening and rented a car to drive here without eating. It was around 9 o'clock in the evening when we arrived at the B&B. The boss and his wife were very enthusiastic. When they learned that we had not eaten, the boss's wife personally cooked rice noodles for us. This was the best and most authentic Yunnan rice noodles we had eaten in Yunnan for more than a week. After that, the boss also entertained us with his own ancient tree tea, introduced us to the local tea and customs and culture, and probably because it was off-season, he also upgraded my room type for free. The next day, the boss arranged breakfast and lunch for free. The hospitality of the boss and his wife and the family-like treatment made us feel warm and felt that we had taken advantage of it. On the second day, the boss drove us to visit the first ancient tree, invited us to taste authentic tea eggs, reserved a basket of tea for us to experience tea frying, and arranged the itinerary clearly. Suddenly we had an illusion that we were not here to stay, but more like to come to a tea house. In addition to thanks, thanks! Let's get back to the point:
1. Facilities: The room facilities are complete and everything is available. It seems that it was renovated last year, which is very suitable for people like us who have high requirements for accommodation. (Note: We have always chosen newer and highly rated hotels and have never tried to step on pits)
2. Hygiene: Clean and neat.
3. Environment: Elegant and quiet. The room we stayed in has a balcony. When we opened the door, we could see the mountain. In the morning, the mountain was surrounded by fog, and it felt like we had strayed into a fairyland!
4. Service: The boss's family is honest and simple, and treats people sincerely and warmly. People don't feel that they are running a homestay, but entertaining family and friends. I really worry that they will suffer if they continue like this.
In general, this was a very pleasant ”stay” experience, but the time was short. Nannuo Mountain has beautiful mountains, beautiful scenery, good people and good tea, which makes people linger. I will come again next year. I wish the boss a prosperous business and a safe and smooth life! ! There are still many things I haven't said, so I will leave them for next time!

Since we arrived early and the room was not ready yet, the owner upgraded us to a 60 square meter one bedroom and one living room suite. GGuest UserSTRONG ADVOCATES! Stunning experience with a Bulang family. We stayed in the quaint guesthouse in the standalone suite with two double bed rooms and a sweet balcony and tea table. The design is soothing and surrounding nature is a welcomed change for city dwellers. That said, one has to be ready for this proximity to nature (mosquito repellent and ear plugs for early rooster crows).
It was the perfect start to our exploration in Yunnan as the host and her brother’s family took us under their wing to show us the tea plantation, roasting, and how to appreciate the local teas. This truly was a most beautiful experience of the warmest hospitality and such vivid insights about the community and stories of development that has been experienced. We learnt so much about the tea varieties and traditions here, giving us anthropological insights and inspiring stories of resilience and growth. The village is well sized for walking around to the tea plantation, temple, cultural museum, and sunset lookout. Do give yourself a couple of days here at least.

JJoyINgdalianmaoThis most expensive room is the one with the worst lighting in the hotel facilities. Daguida has nothing to do with it. The bathtub is easy to wet outside. The tile floor is matched with yellow-painted walls and the wood looks very cheap. The narrow wall kitchen cannot be used at all. It is really not as good as the inn before. There is no partition wall between rain and toilet. The glass door does not have frosted stickers.
The door is facing the aisle, next to the bed, and I feel that all kinds of people can see the room uncomfortable when they walk by. In such a large space, would it be better to put a sofa in front of the bed, otherwise it would be so big to lay a picnic mat for me?
We looked at other rooms in the morning, they were better than this room, this room was not transparent and had no lighting, it was really depressed.
