"My stay at Angsana Hot Springs Resort was excellent, and I have to give a special shout-out to the front desk staff! Upon arrival, everyone at the front desk greeted us with a smile. The check-in process was efficient and smooth, with no unnecessary waiting. Their demeanor was both gentle and professional. I had many questions regarding the hot spring opening hours, resort tour routes, and local dining options, and the staff patiently and meticulously explained everything, even proactively offering us complimentary hot spring vouchers.
The hotel environment is tranquil and elegant, with beautifully landscaped gardens. The natural hot springs offer a wide variety of pools, and the private forest hot tubs provide ample privacy. The spring water felt warm and nourishing on my skin; after a soak, my entire body felt relaxed and refreshed. The guest room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and all the amenities were comprehensive. The welcome fruit was fresh and plentiful.
From check-in to check-out, the entire experience was delightful and incredibly relaxing, a perfect escape from the city hustle. It’s suitable for both couples and family vacations, offering great value for money. I’ve already recommended it to friends and family, and I'll definitely choose Angsana again for my next vacation!"

"Staying at Mukelan hotel was such a special experience for our family. Nestled on the side of a tea mountain that faced a nearby village, it felt like we were suspended in the clouds and could truly unwind and slowly enjoy the peaceful, beautiful scenery all around us.
A major reason our stay was so memorable was the staff. The staff, from the manager, to the driver, cleaners, cook, and tea connoisseur, made us feel truly welcome and well taken care of. Upon arrival to Xishuangbanna train station, we were picked up in a Mercedes-Benz van with leather seats and slippers to change into. When the hotel happened to be less busy for a couple days, the very thoughtful manager and tea connoisseur arranged an impromptu day trip for us based on our preferences. At the hotel, we loved the daily tea drinking sessions, where the wonderful connoisseur taught us many new things about pu’er tea, the star commodity of the region. We also made pu’er tea cakes, played mahjong, and enjoyed daily hikes on the secluded mountain trails.
If you’re looking to get away from the city and unwind in a beautiful place where you can finally hear yourself think, I could not recommend Mukelan hotel highly enough! You’ll be so happy you stayed here."

"This stay was perfect! From the moment you step into the hotel, the warm and thoughtful front desk service makes you feel warm. The room is clean and tidy, the layout is warm, the bed is comfortable, and lying down feels like being gently wrapped in clouds. The bathroom facilities are brand new and the hot water supply is stable. The hotel has breakfast, gym and laundry. I highly recommend it to all my friends who are traveling to Menghai. I will choose here without hesitation next time!"

"This was, hands down, one of the most amazing inn/hotel experiences I've ever had in my life. From the stunning property, to the gorgeous surrounding scenery, to the family-like hospitality of the hosts, to the level of culture and beauty packed in the whole experience, it was incredible. The inn is almost like a mini ”homemade” version of a boutique hotel property like Aman, and the decor is stunning. One of the highlights for me was simply being able to drink tea in multiple tea ceremonies with the owner and housekeeper, sitting at a beautiful large Chinese Mahogany table and watching the process unfold. The teas grown on the property are simply fantastic. Beyond that, the inn offers not only comfortable accommodations to rest and chill out, but also fun activities such as partaking in the tea-making process, visiting local coffee farms, hiking down the ridge, and dining in local restaurants. Simply put, you will not be disappointed. Highly recommended. I miss it already. "

"Where do I start? What an incredible hotel and great hospitality especially from 小姚 in the bar. We wanted espresso martinis, which were off menu, and he learnt very quickly how to make a tasty espresso martini. The hotel provides lovely amenities and daily activities. The swimming pool is a real photo opportunity as it’s an infinity pool and you are surrounded by beautiful scenery. The bar has the best views and very chilled. Rooms were modern, clean and comfortable and free dessert was offered on the first night."

"In December, two rooms were set in advance. I arrived at around 2:40 in the afternoon. There was no prompt sign at all. Later, the waiter came out to pick us up, otherwise I couldn't find it at all.
When I arrived upstairs, I was told that the room was not cleaned up. We said that we could wait. As soon as we entered the room that had not been cleaned, we smelled a smell. The waiter said that the previous guests brought cats and dogs so it was very stinky, but the smell was really unbearable. Later, the waiter went to get the disinfectant to mop the floor, and then the smell was mixed with the disinfectant, and the taste was even more indescribable.
We asked for a room change, because the other room was normal, and the hygiene was not done. The administrator said that all rooms were booked and could not be exchanged. Request a normal accommodation room, this request is too much? We are paying for a normal reservation, not free accommodation.
Later, after the contact number of the homestay on Ctrip, I agreed to give the exchange. That is to say, the room is there, the feeling is particularly bad, and the people will emphasize that there are many people during the Spring Festival. This is not a reason for giving guests a smelly room!"

Nestled amidst the sea of clouds and tea mountains of Nanben Old Village in Menghai, Xishuangbanna, the white-walled, glass-walled building blends seamlessly with the ancient tea gardens and the Lahu ethnic village, offering views of tea plantations and clouds – a truly poetic retreat. Approximately an hour's drive from Jinghong city, the road conditions are excellent. Advance booking of four rooms includes one free round-trip shuttle service, and there is also dedicated parking available for those driving. Despite its secluded location in the mountains, it is easily accessible.
The rooms blend Lahu elements with modern minimalist aesthetics. Wooden furniture paired with cotton and linen fabrics exudes a natural and rustic warmth. The spacious 40+ square meter rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the morning mist and sunset over the tea mountains, creating a flowing panorama. Lying in bed, one can immerse oneself in the ecological beauty of ”tea in the forest, forest in tea.” The apartment boasts intelligent voice control, a fully equipped bathroom with separate wet and dry areas, thoughtful details like branded toiletries and aromatherapy-infused wardrobes, soft and skin-friendly bedding, and impeccable cleanliness throughout, ensuring an exceptional living experience.
The most captivating aspect is the immersive tea-themed travel experience. In the complimentary tea space, the host brews refreshing and mellow Mengsong ancient tree tea, its aroma blending with the scents of herbs and plants to create a rustic, mountain-like ambiance. In the morning, hike through the ancient tea gardens with tea farmers, breathing in the negative ions, picking fresh leaves by hand, and experiencing the traditional tea-making process of withering, rolling, and drying – a truly rewarding experience (seasonal only). In the evening, relax under the outdoor canopy, enjoy a hearty meal of Lahu-style roasted meat over a fireplace, savoring fresh ingredients and authentic flavors – a truly therapeutic experience for both the palate and the soul.
The warm hospitality adds to the overall experience. Before check-in, the host sent a detailed guide covering sightseeing routes, optimal times for viewing the sea of clouds, and sunset times. The third-floor terrace is a perfect spot for watching the sea of clouds and stargazing. Fall asleep to the sounds of insects and the aroma of tea at night, and wake up to birdsong in the morning – truly a blissful experience.
This place serves as a link between the natural beauty of the tea mountains and the local ethnic culture. Menghai Nanben Mountain Retreat, with its stunning scenery, unique experiences, and heartwarming service, perfectly embodies the aesthetics of a tea-tourism fusion resort. It's undoubtedly the best choice for a trip to Menghai, and I'll definitely return for this mountain retreat next time.

The boss is very good, sing to the guests to help, and explain the culture of the ethnic minorities in Yunnan. The sister who helped is the Yi nationality. The boss is enthusiastic to show the way to the tea king tree path, saving a kilometer of distance. When there are few people, you may still eat the barbecue grilled by the boss himself. Hahahaha, a very happy homestay experience!
