"My stay at Qiongkushitai Stargazing had its pros and cons.
On the positive side, the room's bed was equipped with heating, which was incredibly useful given the cold local weather. I was able to sleep quite comfortably at night and get some good rest. The guesthouse also had many adorable and lively small animals, including lambs, bunnies, and chickens.
However, there were a few issues with the bathroom facilities. Firstly, the bathroom temperature was quite low, lacking sufficient heating, making showers feel very cold. Secondly, the hot water supply was inconsistent, fluctuating between hot and cold, making it difficult to adjust to a comfortable temperature. In the mornings, hot water was almost unusable, causing significant inconvenience for washing. Additionally, the bathroom drainage system needs improvement. The drain was slow, leading to severe water accumulation during showers, which affected the user experience and posed a potential safety hazard.
Overall, the guesthouse service was excellent. They provided afternoon tea and a sweet soup before bed. The guesthouse manager also promptly came to help resolve the bathroom issues."

"🚘 A perfect getaway for a road trip! A must-visit!
This guesthouse was a perfect choice for my road trip, and it didn't disappoint! The location is easy to find, and parking is convenient. Most importantly, the experience was fantastic!
I felt instantly soothed as soon as I entered the courtyard. 🌊 The sound of running water was incredibly relaxing. In the evenings, sitting in the courtyard listening to the water and chatting was incredibly relaxing. The rooms were spacious, clean, and fully equipped, making everything very convenient. The owner was also very honest, communicated efficiently, and even kindly recommended nearby roads and restaurants.
This guesthouse made all the difference on my trip! I highly recommend it to anyone planning a road trip; staying here was a truly delightful surprise! 👍"

"Swan Inn is very good, gave us a big surprise, the hotel location is convenient, parking is free, the doorman is particularly enthusiastic to find a parking space. This hotel is located near many of Tekes County's attractions including Qiongkushitai Village, Jonkushitai Village and Qiongkushitai Purple Flower Slope. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site. Our guests consider this hotel to have excellent service. This hotel is a popular accommodation for guests traveling with families.
"The homestay is located in the village, close to the first parking lot, it takes a few minutes to walk, the location does not match the picture, I started to look at the picture and thought it was a separate building on a large grassland, and the actual front is a house. The boss will not contact you in advance. You have to take the initiative to call, you will drive to the parking lot to pick you up, it is close to the entrance of Wusun Ancient Road, and far from the back mountain. After all, the price is not cheap, and the gap with the imagination is too big. That place is really a penny. The budget is limited. It is convenient to live in the village and eat around. From the moment we arrived, the staff’s hospitality and service were not just comparable to world-class 5-star hotels in many ways, they exceeded them. As a non-Chinese speaking guest, I was a little nervous at first, but the team went above and beyond to make me feel completely at ease. Their cheerful smiles and genuine warmth were so heartwarming. What touched me the most? They constantly checked on my fiancée, who is vegetarian, making sure she had wonderful options at every meal. Seeing that level of care for her meant the world to me. They even carried my heavy luggage to the room❤️
Activities (both paid and free):
They have horseback riding with the on-site coach – highly recommend (yes, it's a paid service). For free activities, there’s a giant swing (reminiscent of the one in Kalajun Grassland), archery, and the most beautiful, calm animals: two incredibly cute lambs, a cow, several horses, and the sweetest little dog who will greet you. If you’re nervous around animals, don’t worry – they are the chillest, calmest creatures and will only approach if you call them.
Food: 10/10. My fiancée said it was the best meal she had in all of Xinjiang. Cooked by the wonderful Ah Po and Ah Gong, every dish felt like a loving home-cooked meal made by grandparents. There’s also an adorable cafe hut (though we didn’t get coffee – we were too busy being in awe of everything around us).
Room standards: This is where they truly shine. Air conditioning, heater, soft comfy bed, overhead curtains to open or close for stargazing, fridge, hairdryer, lighted mirror, heated toilet – and spotlessly clean. We slept like a baby.
And finally… stargazing.
This is exactly why I chose this place. We stayed up until 3 AM, completely mesmerized by a sky full of stars like I’ve never seen before. I’ll let the photos I uploaded do the talking. 😁 (I have added the settings I used on iPhone to take the photos, bring a stand and on night mode:30s with exposure adjustment and ProRAW turned on)

"To be honest, I was worried about not sleeping well on my first trip to Xinjiang. I saw this guesthouse online and thought it looked pretty good, but I was a little apprehensive at first. However, when I arrived, it completely met my expectations. The courtyard was very cozy, with various flowers—lilies, peonies, hydrangeas, cherry blossoms, grapevines—and a lovely little gazebo. It was the courtyard of my dreams! The rooms were also very clean, and the place felt warm in winter and cool in summer. Even though it was sunny outside, it was very cool inside. The owners, a husband and wife, are also very passionate about life and incredibly welcoming. This place has definitely been added to my and my friends' must-stay list, and we'll definitely choose it again next time! 😘 Highly recommended for anyone traveling here!"

聽他推薦去對面的明珠農家菜嚐嚐，果然沒讓人失望。脆皮牛肋骨外皮焦脆得能聽見“咔嚓”響，內裏肉嫩汁濃，香料裹着肉香直往喉嚨裏鑽。沙葱炒雞蛋帶着山野清辛，和雞蛋的香滑纏在一起，清爽極了。野蘑菇特別鮮，菌子的嫩滑混着油香，簡單卻勾人。招牌豆腐外韌裏嫩，吸飽了醬汁，鹹鮮回甜，媽媽説味道特別像佛跳牆。饢坑肉帶着炭火香，羊肉塊厚實多汁，滿口都是地道的香！（老闆説他自己每年都要消費8 9千，哈哈）
民宿的早餐也特別驚喜，早餐的小菜聽説是哈薩克的員工自己拌的，特別的爽口，味道一級棒！我們起的晚，老闆還特意幫我們把早餐留到了11點，最後我們把小菜都吃光了哈哈哈哈
住的房間也讓人舒心，乾淨得不像話，床單被罩帶着淡淡的陽光味。推開房門就是院子，簡直像個小花園，蘋果樹上掛着青撲撲的果子，風一吹就晃悠悠的。院子角落裡還有個陽光洗衣房，洗衣機、晾衣架、洗衣液一應俱全，洗好的衣服晾在院子裏，曬着太陽很快就幹了，還帶着股花香。最招人疼的是院子裏那衹小暹羅貓，老闆説它叫“煤球”，黑黢黢的小臉，總在路上趴着，你走過去它就懶洋洋地抬抬爪子，蹭得人手心癢癢的。超級可愛！
這次住宿體驗真的遠超預期，不衹是住得舒服，更感受到了新疆人骨子裡的熱情和真誠。如果以後還有機會來新疆，這家民宿肯定是我的第一選擇，就沖這份像家人一樣的温暖，也得再來看看這位可愛的老闆！"

"The boss is a couple from Zhejiang. He came to Tekes for love and bought this homestay for his wife. The reception was very warm. When we first arrived at the homestay, we were served watermelon 🍉 to cool down, and there were dried apples, red dates and other Xinjiang dried fruits for us to eat. The yard is very comfortable and cozy. Compared with the cookie-cutter rooms in the hotel, this yard is really much more comfortable. All the towels, toothbrushes and cups in the room are disinfected and sealed. My husband said that this is very thoughtful and is the only one that has been achieved among all the hotels we have stayed in so far. It dispels customers' doubts about the hygiene of personal items. Many five-star hotels I have stayed in before cannot do this. My baby especially likes their cat 🐱. He is very happy chasing the cat around the yard. The style of the whole homestay is ancient and ancient. It is highly recommended🥰🥰🥰"

MMingkonggongziFirst of all, the service was very warm and thoughtful. It was late and rainy on the day we arrived. They recommended several local specialty restaurants, which were indeed delicious. They also drove us back to the B&B.
Secondly, I booked a double terrace. The room was spacious and warm. The terrace allowed you to see the grass and lambs in the yard (cute brown curly hair). The toiletries were of very good quality and disposable. The whole room was clean and tidy. The only small suggestion was that the arched doorway of the shower toilet should face the door of the room, or make a shower room with frosted glass or something? It would be more private.
Finally, the breakfast and drinks at the B&B were very rich, hahahaha, they were all my favorites, and there were free refreshments during the day. Unfortunately, I was in a hurry and didn't have time to experience the cultural and creative products. When I left, the lady also gave me a souvenir. The lavender sachet smelled good and the dried fruits were also appetizing.

There is a kitchen in the B&B, so you can cook by yourself. There is a small platform on the second floor, where you can have dinner in the evening. Friends from all over the world gathered on the small platform and chatted with each other happily. This is the meaning of staying in a B&B.

GGuest UserThis was the best guesthouse of our Xinjiang trip! The views are absolutely stunning, with our triple room offering two panoramic viewpoints (front and back) and a lovely balcony. The bedding was also super comfortable! The location is wonderfully secluded, with vast grasslands to explore just a few hills away. Every corner is picture-perfect! We even saw the 'Golden Mountain bathed in sunlight' phenomenon at dusk. On our first day, we just lay there admiring the scenery for half a day. Plus, the food at the guesthouse was delicious – we ate there for two days straight. I'd definitely recommend it to friends!

RRakdoiWe had a great stay here at Xinyejian Homestay! The room was clean and comfortable, and there was a radiator and heated bed so we never felt cold at all. The hosts were also friendly, attentive and caring, they responded quickly on WeChat, and helped us arrange for a driver to Qiongkushitai and back to Tekes as we did not drive our own car. They also recommended a very good horseman who brought the horses right to the homestay to begin horse riding to Sunwu Road and Gaoshan Hu. We went in the first week of September and the grass was still green, there are slopes at the back and next to the homestay with occasional grazing sheep, horses and cows to explore. It is at a good location, between the entrance to the back mountains and Qiongkushitai village/ Wusun road, the walk on foot is about 20 minutes each way. The hosts also sent us walking route directions and offered to send us by car to the back mountains, he also picked us up from the village car park on our first day. At night we could see the Milky Way and the stars, and it is very quiet at night. The hosts also prepare a daily breakfast and we ordered a yummy dinner as well on one of our nights there. Would recommend everyone to choose this homestay.

TtkillThe breakfast was very basic, and the rooms had many poorly designed features. For example, all the shower buttons were crammed onto one small button with tiny lettering that was practically invisible to the elderly. The hotel itself wasn't large, with only four or five rooms. However, the location was too remote; it was too far to get to the night market. Even the electric scooter rental drop-off point required walking several intersections. I recommend finding a place closer to the city center in Tekes.

XXingfudemaxiuWe are newcomers to Northern Xinjiang for the first time. I originally booked this B&B because I was going to Kalajun Grassland (top 3 scenery in Ili). Unexpectedly, I accidentally bumped into Qiongkush Terrace, which ranks top 2 in Ili scenery.
This B&B is on the top of a mountain. It has an excellent location. The scenery outside the window is so beautiful. Please see the accompanying picture, no photoshop. You are very close to the stars at night, and you can watch the sun rise from Tianshan Mountain in the morning! And there is also this so-called internet celebrity swing (we didn’t know about it until we arrived). It is estimated that many people go to the swing in the back mountain because of a few big Vs, but the real thing is here! The house is clean and warm. The boss is very enthusiastic and down-to-earth. To get here, you need to walk a mountainous road with many twists and turns. Remember to fill up your tank before going up the mountain. This is what the boss told us. So we arrived very late, and the boss was waiting all the time and cooked delicious food for us!
The biggest surprise was going to the Wusun Ancient Trail! ! We gave up on Karajun directly. The rainforest on the Wusun Ancient Trail is simply an instant kill for Kalajun. No tickets yet. It is recommended to enter on horseback, but you can of course go on foot. If you are riding a horse, it is recommended to find a local kid friend. They will not only tell you a lot of local life stories. They also take various photos for you, which is of great emotional value!

GGanjubingChoosing Wuyin Zhidi for our trip to Kalajun was absolutely the right decision! The hotel is super close to the East Gate of Kalajun Scenic Area, just a ten-minute drive. Our butler, Xiao Ba, wasn't just handsome, but also incredibly thoughtful and attentive. He was always responsive to our needs and gave us great tips on the best places to visit and the most beautiful scenic spots – he was really, really nice! As for the hotel room, it was very clean, spacious, and had an amazing view. They even treated us to a wonderful, extensive afternoon tea with incredibly sweet fruit. This place is definitely worth it! Highly, highly recommend!!!

The small courtyard and the room are particularly comfortable and clean, and it is relaxing to look at. The lighting is good, and the air is particularly fresh when the window is opened. Toiletries are basically disposable, the quality is super good, the comfort is used, the bedding is comfortable, and the night sleeps super fragrant.
The front desk brother is super enthusiastic! As soon as we arrived at the door, we took the initiative to help us lift the suitcase to the door, very intimate! If you have any questions, ask him to answer them patiently. The little brother is not only enthusiastic, but also a ”live map”! Ask him what delicious and fun places are nearby, and the recommended places are particularly authentic. Follow the food and play without stepping on thunder, worry-free!
