"This was a truly secure stay! The most impressive aspect was the hotel's shuttle service. They picked us up for check-in, took us to the attractions, and then brought us back to the hotel afterwards. When I felt unwell due to altitude sickness, they immediately arranged a transfer to the town hospital. Of course, all of this wouldn't have been possible without the excellent coordination of the butlers. I'm incredibly grateful to all the hotel staff. Despite their young faces and perhaps less 'seasoned' approach, they were still meticulous and accommodating, and their genuine sincerity was palpable. I've included a few photos of the hotel. "Let me tell you about our stay from a few different angles. Everyone was pretty satisfied, and we all agreed to give it a five-star review! 🏠 **Ambiance:** The room was super, super spacious! Since there were four of us, we booked a suite. It had two rooms that connected but also offered privacy, which was perfect for a group of friends. Plus, the suite came with its own private balcony. Sitting out there at night, chatting with friends and stargazing, was just delightful. 🅿️ **Amenities:** A pleasant surprise! They had EV charging stations, and the price was very reasonable. No need to go searching for a place to charge, and since it's the off-season, there was no queue – super nice! ♻️ **Cleanliness:** It was very clean. Disposable slippers, bottled mineral water, and even a bathtub liner were provided. If we needed any supplies, we just asked the friendly front desk staff. 👍🏻 **Service:** They offered breakfast, afternoon tea, coffee, and snacks. The front desk小姐姐 (xiaojie jie - a polite way to address a young woman) would ask us if we slept well, ate well, and if we needed anything. The service was absolutely fantastic! My friend had a craving for the snacks in the basket, and when they ran out, the小姐姐 even refilled them for us."

"My stay at Xiangchunshan·Juangui Mountain Retreat Villa was quite pleasant. We chose the Yunshu Mountain View King Room, and I must commend the guesthouse for their free shuttle service to the scenic area, which saved us the trouble of arranging transportation ourselves – a very thoughtful touch. The room's decor was just what I wanted, and it was spotless and tidy, with attention to hygiene. The snow-capped mountain view was excellent, and the large-screen projector and private bathtub enhanced the experience. As a newly opened guesthouse in 2024, all the facilities are modern. The location is also close to Shuangqiaogou Scenic Area, and the staff were very helpful and responsive to any questions. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay. The yak meat hot pot recommended by the owner was incredibly delicious, with generous portions and great value."

"Stayed here during the autumn holiday and was thoroughly impressed! I was quite surprised to find such a great room at such an affordable price in this location. The room even had an oxygen concentrator, which was a lifesaver as I was worried about altitude sickness. I used it for a bit upon arrival and felt much better. The owner was very welcoming, and the breakfast was delicious and varied, with a fantastic view from the dining area. They even had two adorable dogs that would lead the way! On our last day, we also had dinner there and ordered their hot pot, which was much better than anything we had outside. I booked this for my friends who are taking their kids for spring break, and they were very happy with it too."

"Overall This was an absolutely stunning stay — one of the best I've experienced, and it truly blew us away. We had a balcony room with a breathtaking view of the mountains. The resort is run by a warm couple and a team of locals who were wonderfully attentive and helpful, arranging our transportation from Chengdu to their doorstep and back. The food was exceptional — wholesome, nourishing and deeply local. The dinner hotpot hit the spot on a cold night, and breakfast was healthy and energising — exactly what you need before a long day of hiking. The room itself was spectacular; waking up to pine trees dusted with snow and a clear mountain view was something else. On a clear night, you could stargaze from the balcony and melt into the rocking chair. Simply blissful and a good escape from the city life. Highly recommend NPS 10. 🏨 Room — 10/10 Great layout, comfortable bed, a warm toilet seat on a cold morning, spacious, and most importantly — a stunning view. The hotel is relatively new, having opened in 2025 according to the owners. 🧹 Cleanliness — 10/10 Spotless throughout. All common areas were new and well kept. 👋 Staff Friendliness & Responsiveness — 10/10 The couple who run the place are genuinely lovely — always on hand to ensure you have a great stay. Responsive over WeChat to help coordinate logistics ahead of the trip, and they'll drop you at the entrance of the main hiking sites. Other staff were equally helpful. The primary language is Chinese, but they are patient and a translation app works perfectly fine. 📍 Location — 9/10 A 10-minute drive from both Changping and Shuangqiao valleys. Not much in the immediate surroundings — quaint little farms, grazing cows, and steep hills that will test anyone not yet acclimatised. 🍽️ Food & Drink — 9/10 The hotpot on both nights was incredibly nourishing and full of flavour, featuring a variety of local wild vegetables and mushrooms. There is also a stir-fry menu with a solid selection of local dishes, though we stuck to the hotpot both evenings. 🌅 View/Scenery — 11/10 Snowcapped peaks and beautiful pine forests as far as the eye can see (visited in April). I could have sat and stared out the window all day. 🏃 Activities & Surroundings — 10/10 The mountains and hiking trails are the main draw here — and honestly, the only activity you'll ever need. Shuangqiao is absolutely gorgeous and you could spend a whole day there if you like to hike(instead of just taking the bus). Changping is more for hikers, no bus service with a different charm, I love it more cause it was less touristy. The immediate area is quiet — everything you need is within the hotel itself. Stock up on essentials in the city, or check with staff ahead of time if there's anything specific you need. It's a hillside town, four hours from Chengdu."

"The location is excellent, right next to Shuangqiaogou Scenic Area. The first thing they did upon check-in was give us a bunch of snacks and New Year's red envelopes, which really made us feel special! The hotel has heating, and the breakfast price was very reasonable, even during the New Year period. Most importantly, the WiFi was decent enough to play Delta Force!"

We weren't familiar with the area, and he went out of his way to drive us to town for dinner, showing great patience throughout. He even came to pick us up from dinner to take us back to the guesthouse later that evening, which was incredibly thoughtful and warm. Even breakfast was personalized; they thoughtfully considered our wake-up time and arranged it flexibly, so we didn't have to rush – truly a 10/10 experience! Overall, the service was meticulous and spot-on. We felt pampered the entire time, and it offered fantastic value for money. I genuinely recommend it to everyone. "I booked this guesthouse during off-peak season thanks to discounts offered by Ctrip and other merchants, and upon arrival, I realized I'd truly discovered a gem. The facilities were comprehensive: the entire room had diffused oxygen supply, along with a nasal inhaler and a blood oxygen monitor—perfect for those worried about altitude sickness. There was a Dyson hairdryer and a Lanbao humidifier with no visible mist, so I didn't have to worry about getting my clothes wet. The guesthouse offered unobstructed views. The scenery outside the window was truly beautiful! The air was filled with mist, as if the clouds were dwelling in the mountains. The air was crisp and refreshing—it was so comfortable."
