This is a Tang Dynasty-style guesthouse hidden deep in the village of Gulgou. It's about a 20-minute drive from Gulgou town. We arrived late at night in the dark, and the owner came down from the roadside to help us with our luggage. The guesthouse is built into the mountainside, so there are steps leading up and down, which can be a bit tiring. However, the view is absolutely stunning. Opening the windows and doors, you can see the distant colorful forests and snow-capped mountains, completely unobstructed. Every detail in the rooms is exquisite and refined. The carpets, stools, beds, washbasins, etc., were all carefully designed by the owner and handcrafted by artisans. They are truly unique and cannot be replicated. In the evening, we warmed ourselves by burning firewood in the fireplace. Sitting around the coffee table on the carpet, drinking tea and wine, we weren't cold at all. We chatted for a long time, sharing our views on Tang Dynasty history and modern society. The owner was very knowledgeable, and we listened attentively. At night, with the electric blankets on, we weren't cold either. The guesthouse is quiet, far from the hustle and bustle. We slept in until we naturally woke up in the morning. Breakfast was simple: sweet potato porridge, eggs, shumai, pickled vegetables, etc. It wasn't fancy, but it felt very much like ordinary rural life. We only stayed one day, but I must say, it's worth staying longer to experience a different way of life.

The bedding was exceptionally cozy and skin-friendly, and the cleanliness was top-notch. My child had an absolute blast soaking and swimming in the room's tub. The breakfast offered a huge variety of choices—french fries, shaomai, soy milk, milk, coffee, stir-fried dishes, dumplings, sweet potatoes, and the list goes on. The hotel corridors and other areas smelled wonderful thanks to the aromatherapy. The hot water came out instantly, making for a very relaxing shower. Upon departure, they even gave us a thoughtful little parting gift to enjoy on the road. The staff were also very warm and welcoming. Highly recommended!

I found a homestay casually, but I didn't expect to bring a big surprise. The decoration of the homestay is very distinctive and the location is good. The boss upgraded the room with a terrace for free. You can see the stars at night. Although we arrived late, the boss still helped us make a super delicious Tibetan hot pot, and also customized delicious tomato and egg noodles for the children. It really feels like going home. Unfortunately, I can stay for one night and stay here next time! p.s This is on the road to Erguxi, so if you want to go to Erguxi, you don't have to take the transfer below, and it's no problem to get the car directly here. The road is not as difficult as you think.

Facilities: The facilities are excellent, the room has everything you need, and the water pressure is really strong, perfect for a comfortable shower. Cleanliness: It's clean and hygienic, everything is good. Environment: The surrounding area is a campsite where children can have a lot of fun. Many people also camp overnight there, and there's a restaurant. Service: The restaurant management seemed a bit chaotic; we waited an hour and our food still hadn't arrived. The campsite also had a bonfire party, which was very lively.

The room was clean, with air-conditioning electric blankets, a quilt plus a blanket, and it was not cold to sleep at night in winter, but the bed was a bit hard. Disposable toiletries are available, and towels and bath towels are also very clean. The boss is also very good, the location is not very easy to find, when you call the boss, they will pick you up. I am very satisfied with this price.

A very nice hot spring hotel, located right by the roadside in Gulgou. There are several restaurants nearby, and a supermarket at the entrance. The rooms are spacious, and there are both indoor and outdoor hot spring pools. The service is excellent, and the owner is incredibly kind.

The location of the homestay is very suitable for friends who like quietness. The cabin with a small attic is very popular with children. The biggest advantage is to enjoy Laojungou alone. Behind the wooden house, the water quality is clear, and you can return to the house to change your clothes in a minute. The downside is that the surrounding facilities are too poor. Dinner goes to the concentrated area about one kilometer away. I don't know if it is because of the peak season. The service, dishes, taste and price are very bad. Compared with the Guergou dining price and taste after an hour, it is too far away.
