"Our family had such a wonderful stay at Funny Lion! From the moment we arrived, the entire team made us feel so welcome, comfortable, and completely stress-free throughout our visit. The warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail truly made this a memorable experience for all of us. A very special thank you to the General Manager for leading such an outstanding team, and to Janine for being extra patient, kind, and incredibly helpful during our stay. She truly went above and beyond to make sure my questions and requests were attended to. Huge thanks as well to all the rest of the staff members who were consistently friendly abd attentive in every way. We also really enjoyed the food at Hunt Restaurant — definitely on the pricier side, but the quality and taste made it worth it. We originally wanted to dine at C75 as well, but it was fully booked, so I highly recommend making reservations in advance. The buffet breakfast was also very good, although the spread was a little limited. The pool was very well maintained, and we appreciated that water activities like kayaking were included free of charge. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to visit the resort sandbar due to unexpected boat issues. The rooms were comfortable and thoughtfully prepared, with lovely little touches like fresh fruit juice and daily snacks that made the stay feel extra special. Overall, it was such a warm, relaxing, and enjoyable family getaway. Thank you, Funny Lion, for the amazing hospitality — we can’t wait to come back!"

"Really friendly and affordable resort. The staff helped me with my requests for transport, spa services , etc and the room was clean within expectations. I really enjoyed the pools and my balcony during my stay. The included breakfast was beyond my expectations for this price range. Would book again if in the area."

"We had a wonderful stay at this hostel. Everything was perfect. The hostel was very clean, comfortable, and in an excellent location, making it easy to explore the area. "This place is a gem! Its right by the beach. The cottage was very clean, the bathroom was spacious, the room is well equipped with well thought of extra touches that will make your stay comfortable. The hosts were very accommodating. It’s a quiet and relaxing spot to recharge after a busy day exploring the town and island of El Nido. Highly recommended especially if you are a clean freak."

"Our stay at Funny Lion was absolutely wonderful, and we can say with full confidence that this is a truly special place. The rooms are beautiful, very clean, cozy, and well maintained. Everything is done with great attention to detail. There is absolutely no need to stay directly on the beach because the hotel regularly provides a transfer to their own Papaya Beach at 9:00 and 11:00 in the morning, with return transfers at 14:00 or 16:00. It is very convenient and well organized. We highly recommend using the hotel’s airport transfer both to and from the airport. When our flight from El Nido was unexpectedly canceled, the team went above and beyond and helped us organize a transfer all the way to Puerto Princesa. This level of support and care is rare and priceless. We will definitely return with great pleasure. Funny Lion is not just a hotel, it is a place where you feel truly taken care of. The best! "This room was a nice treat, the room was massive! I love the Japanese inspired design and the smart toilet. The hotel is quiet and very close to the Lio beach front with cafes and restaurants (2min walk). It’s a nice beach too, to watch planes take off from the nearby El Nido airport. The hotel offers a free loan of electric bikes which was fun to explore the surroundings. I spotted monkeys outside the accommodation too! They offer a free shuttle every hour to El Nido town which is helpful if you have a tour, are going to the port, or just want to explore. Ron, the driver, is nice and helpful. The service really is the best part of the experience. Every single hotel worker and cleaning staff greeted us with smiles and welcomes, and went out of their way to look after their guests, particularly the reception staff Marv, Par, Rich, and Dan. Marv gave us local recommendations."

The entire staff including those working nonstop to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the entire resort deserve more than 5 stars. Any chance the staff had a moment, they cleaned our room at least twice a day. They knew when we were out and about so they surprised us nicely with a clean room each time. The 24/7 service via whatsapp is extremely amazing ! Even at 3am, I sent a message for milk and they got us milk right away !!! You ask anything and everything through the whatsapp and service is at your disposition. The welcoming and the farewell music was so special to us too. What beautiful people. I can keep going on and on about everything in this resort from the activities, to the tours, to the amenities, to the servicial kindness of everyone. It made our family Trip truly magical.

location is perfect just few block for a market and walking distance to the marina we're the boats for excursion is dock and load. The hotel accomodations is just basic small bed low and very thin mattress, pillow and blanket is excellent soft, water supply is abundant although electricity us intermitent on and off, our aircondition unit has been affected that doesn't giving cold air glad it was just out last night. pool is beautiful and cleaned , food for breakfast is superb better and giid quality selection. the staff are very polite and respectful, very helpful and get job done as much as possible, they pack a sandwich breakfast for us as we have early trip to El Nido that was very nice if rhem. The water supply is not drinkable so they provide bottled water and you can ask for a refill. They will give you a welcome drink of a fruit drink. This is really a good location, my only dislike is the bed, as it's very small when they say twin bed it is a twin bed, other than that it's ok. Yes its more pricey compare to the sorrounding hotel but the food and pool are the best.

Overall, my experience at this hotel was absolutely fantastic, and I highly recommend it. The island itself is quite a distance from Coron town. Coron town and this island are located at the northern and southern ends of the main island, respectively. So, getting to the island from town involves an approximately one-hour car ride to the port, followed by a 40-minute boat trip. However, this remote location ensures the island's pristine environment. Here’s a breakdown of the activities available on the island: 1. **Free Activities:** These include snorkeling, kayaking, hiking, and mountain climbing. All were enjoyable, and the snorkeling waters were excellent. 2. **Paid Activities:** The prices for these are a bit steep. For example, an island-hopping tour for a day costs between 6000 and 8000 pesos, which I found to be poor value for money. I suggest arriving early and not sticking strictly to the 3 PM check-in time. Arriving earlier allows you to start enjoying the island's facilities right away. Regarding dining and service: 1. The overall service was impeccable. 2. Breakfast was decent. Considering the limited resources on the island, the variety offered was quite good. 3. There are two restaurants on the island. The food is tasty, but a bit pricey, costing around 150-200 RMB per person. In summary, the service and scenery here definitely justify the price.

Everything about this hotel is wonderful, except for the food and its prices. It's a great place far from the noisy city, with spacious bungalows, daily cleaning, a fantastic and clean pool (which is rare!), excellent service, and good massages. The best part of the food was the pizza – it was genuinely tasty. The cocktails were also delicious. Everything else was unappetizing and expensive. The free breakfast was the same every day and quite small; it was okay for women, but far too little for men, who then had to order additional, pricey dishes.

We stayed for 5 days and 4 nights at Coron Westown Resort and honestly had a really good experience. The staff were warm, accommodating, and always ready to help whenever we needed something. The food was surprisingly good, and the pool area was one of our favorite parts of the stay. They have a kid-friendly pool which my daughter and son enjoyed so much that they spent most of their time swimming and relaxing there. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable throughout our stay. We originally booked for 3 nights but decided to extend for another night because we were enjoying our stay so much. We were also grateful to receive a room upgrade, which made the experience even better.”Family Suite” Room was superb! Overall, it was a relaxing and hassle-free stay for our family. Definitely one of the places we would recommend when visiting Coron. 10/10 for us!

I was honestly a bit disappointed with this resort. When you see the word “resort” and pay resort prices, you expect a certain standard. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to that. The bed only had a thin sheet with no proper bedding, there was no water provided in the room, and parts of the property felt quite run down with visible rust. The bathroom, especially the shower area, could really use a deep clean. Breakfast was okay, nothing special. There were four different WiFi networks, but none of them worked properly and the connection was very slow. The staff did warn me about this in advance. That being said, the staff were absolutely amazing. Reception went above and beyond by helping with my large bags, doing my laundry, organizing tours and transport, and assisting with everything I needed. Truly a chef’s kiss to the team. They were the highlight of my stay. With some upgrades and better maintenance, this place could match the price they’re charging. Right now, it’s the staff that make the experience worthwhile.

It is smacked within a residential area. So you can soak yourself in it and experience living in a village. But, a 3 mins walk will lead you to the main road where you can find F&B outlets. Nearest is 89 Cafe which serves good food. Another 500m there is a Pagetek food court which has food a super chill beer. At the price, it is a good deal. They also have free transport to airport, but please talk to the friendly staff there in advanced.

The hotel is a solid 3*, 4 floors, no elevator, and the stairs are steep. Breakfasts are traditional fare, but in reality, they suck. The roof on the 4th floor is wooden, the rooms are hot, and at night, animals scurry across it, making a loud hum. If you have a room facing the road, you can hear every movement all night. Ants in the rooms drag things from corner to corner. Some rooms don't have a refrigerator. Double rooms are just a wooden balcony above your bed. The hotel is just for spending the night, nothing more. I wouldn't go back here again, no matter the price.

We booked a standard room, they gave us room 6, but it was very small, without a window and a wardrobe. It was very stuffy and there was an unpleasant smell. The air conditioner was noisy. The floor was very dirty, covered in sand. Since we arrived at night, we spent the night in that room. In the morning we asked to change the room. They showed us the rooms, we chose a room with a balcony, a suite, a sea view, but we had to pay extra. We stayed for 4 days, so we agreed to pay extra. The room was cleaned poorly, only once, although we asked for it to be cleaned. They put water in the room upon arrival, they did not put it anymore, also shampoo, soap, brushes were put only once upon arrival. The towels were not changed even once. Breakfasts from the menu, very meager, the same thing every day. In the dining room there is a cooler with hot and cold water, you can pour tea in the evening. The room service is terrible. The hotel is for a stay of 1, 2 days. But the cost is expensive for such a hotel. I do not recommend it for a long time. The view from the window is beautiful. The port is close.
