"This hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Hsinchu Station, along the main Zhongzheng Road, making it easy to find. Pros: The staff's cleaning is meticulous, there are three elevators so you rarely have to wait, and the toilets have bidets, which is fantastic. Cons: The facilities are undeniably old, the shower curtain in the bathtub needs improvement, and I found it inconvenient that there wasn't a restroom available while waiting at the front desk. Despite these points, the location is superb. You can quickly walk to the central areas like markets and temples, and there are wonderful historical buildings nearby. You can even get to the nearest convenience store without an umbrella on a rainy day. For those who prioritize location, I highly recommend this hotel."

"Location is excellent, staff service is friendly and helpful. I like the Italian restaurant downstairs with really good selections of Italian foods and suits me to grab something nice in between meetings particularly for the past week, the weather in Hsinchu was awful and with only 1 hour between my evening calls, it is a convenient place to enjoy something nice without braving the heavy rain outside. Price is very good for the quality of food I get."

"Location is average, seems like walking distance to most places being in the city center but yet not quite exactly walking distance especially with the rain. The room is a good size, so is the bathroom with both standing shower and a bathtub. Water pressure in the shower is good. The power supply is only at 110v so the hair dryer is weak and takes a while to dry the hair. I've read comments about the weak hair dryer earlier so I brought my own but didn't expect the power supply to be so weak my own wouldn't work Bed and pillow are a little soft for my liking. Charging sockets are also limited and while there were 2 universal sockets at the working desk, they are so close to each other you can't plug in both at the same time. There's also a pool and gym here but we didn't get to use it during our short stay here. There's also a sand pit play area for kids on the same level as the pool and gym."

"Excellent hotel! It's clean, comfortable, and the service is great. The location is ideal, not far from the train station and Chenghuang Temple, both within walking distance. There are also attractions nearby like Shuixian Temple and the Catholic Church. The hotel gym is also very good. I'm very satisfied with this hotel."

"Hotel location is very good and convenient to move around. Room is spacious and clean.  Hotel has free coffee and tea in the lobby whole day with water dispensers available at several floors. In the evening they also have free bath salts and herbs and essential oil for customers to take for baths. Breakfast in hotel is ok. No gym or pool though. For price range I think this hotel is good value!"

"We had a fantastic stay! The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We were pleasantly surprised by how large and well-planned the room layout was, especially the automatic blinds which were perfect for blocking out light. The beds were extremely comfortable with fluffy pillows, allowing us to have a great night's sleep. While the AC temperature took a little while to lower to our desired level, it was not a breaking point and everything else was perfect. Added perks included free parking and complimentary ice cream for children’s day weekend. We will definitely visit again"

"I chose this place for a short business trip primarily because it offered parking. I overlooked the 6 PM check-in time, so I had to go out and kill some time before returning. I had originally picked it thinking it was closer to Fukutang Ganban-yoku (rock bath). There are hardly any shops or amenities nearby, and it's located on a very busy road. The price wasn't particularly cheap either. At night, you can feel subtle tremors, almost like mini-earthquakes, caused by the frequent passage of large trucks. Earplugs are provided, but if you're sensitive to noise or have trouble sleeping, I strongly advise you to avoid this hotel. Personally, I was so utterly exhausted that I just collapsed into bed and slept, so it didn't bother me too much!"

"Overall, my stay was very satisfying. I booked a classic king room this time, and it was spacious and comfortable. The bed was just right – not too soft, not too hard – so I slept wonderfully. The room was exceptionally clean, well-stocked with amenities, and all the details were well-taken care of, which made me feel very at ease. The location of Lakeshore Hotel Hsinchu is a major highlight. It's right by Qingcao Lake, offering a tranquil environment away from the city's hustle and bustle. A morning stroll by the lake was incredibly pleasant, making it a rare place where you can truly relax. In terms of service, the front desk staff were friendly and polite. The check-in and check-out processes were smooth, with no waiting involved. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of choices, and the dining environment was very comfortable. The hotel's facilities were well-maintained, public areas were clean, and the hardware definitely lives up to a four-star standard. All in all, this stay was great value for money, perfect for travelers looking for a short break to recharge. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Hsinchu."
