"It's about 50 meters from the train station, with a convenience store downstairs. I parked my car in a designated parking lot across the street, which gives me one free entry and exit per day. The room was small, and the hair dryer seemed broken, producing less wind than my mouth. The bathroom had separate wet and dry areas, with only half a glass shower area, leaving the floor completely wet after showering. Even with the air conditioner turned down to minimum, it still blew directly onto people in the distance, making it very uncomfortable. For two people on a weekend, the price was 3400, a very poor value. The breakfast was average."

"The front desk service was decent, but I found the bed to be very dirty with a lot of hair. When I asked for a change of bedding, they gave me a look like I was being difficult. The location is definitely good, right near the train station, but the environment isn't great. If I had to choose again, I probably wouldn't stay here."

"The room was spacious and the bathroom was very clean. The TV could watch YouTube. If you needed a toothbrush, you had to get one from the front desk. The room provided tea bags, cups, and towels. Overall, a good experience."

"This stay was a great experience. There is a large bathtub where you can take a bath together, and the bed and sofa are both large and comfortable. The most important thing is that the floor is carpeted which is a plus ❤️!
The breakfast counter will ask us to choose one first and hang it at our door the next morning, which is very considerate!"

"This time I stayed in the backpack room of the Homme Hotel, the overall experience was quite good. The environment is very clean, the beds are very comfortable, sleep very relaxed, there is no sense of oppression. The public space is well organized, the bathroom and shower equipment are also very clean and easy to use.
The hotel adopts self-check-in method, the process is simple and fast, and there is no need to wait for the counter staff, which is quite convenient for passengers. The overall space is quiet and the accommodation quality is good, which is very suitable for backpackers or short-term travelers.
Overall, the environment, cleanliness and comfort are all performing well, and it is a backpacker accommodation worth considering again."

GGuest UserThis is my third time staying at Hushan Hotel, and I'm very satisfied every time. It's located near Qingcao Lake, with a quiet and tidy environment. The room is also clean and bright. The large jacuzzi is a super enjoyment. The breakfast is also a highlight, exquisite and delicious. The kitchen aunt is kind and polite, replenishing the dishes at any time. Mr. Huang also treats us warmly like family. I would like to wish Mr. Huang and the service staff of Hushan Fengjing Hotel a happy New Year and prosperous business.

君君品I chose this place for a short business trip primarily because it offered parking. I overlooked the 6 PM check-in time, so I had to go out and kill some time before returning. I had originally picked it thinking it was closer to Fukutang Ganban-yoku (rock bath). There are hardly any shops or amenities nearby, and it's located on a very busy road. The price wasn't particularly cheap either. At night, you can feel subtle tremors, almost like mini-earthquakes, caused by the frequent passage of large trucks. Earplugs are provided, but if you're sensitive to noise or have trouble sleeping, I strongly advise you to avoid this hotel. Personally, I was so utterly exhausted that I just collapsed into bed and slept, so it didn't bother me too much!

GGuest UserThe place offers good value for money. It's not luxurious, but it's very clean and comfortable. It's a 10 minute walk from NTHU and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. They offer free bottles of water, which was really convenient
The place looks just like the pictures.
The only problem was the breakfast included advertisement.
They only give you a voucher worth 65 NTD, but you need to spend at least 100 NTD in the store (that's what the restaurant told me), and they only accept cash.
The restaurant staff were not very friendly to foreigners.
It would be better if they advertised it as no breakfast included since you still have to pay to use the voucher

TTying chinThe location is super convenient, with lots of great food options nearby. The room was clean and tidy, and the shower had excellent water pressure. The front desk staff were very helpful, assisting us in choosing a room with a good deal. The hotel also thoughtfully provides parking. We'll definitely be staying here again.

GGuest UserStaying at the Hua Tai Hotel (Hua Tai Classic Business Hotel) in Hsinchu is a bit like stepping back into the 1980s. It’s nostalgic, straightforward, and arguably the best ”bang for your buck” if you want to be right in the heart of the city.
Here is a balanced review based on the current 2026 guest experience:
The HighlightsPrime Location: You couldn't ask for a better spot for transit. It is a 3-minute walk from the Hsinchu Railway Station and within an 8-minute stroll to the City God Temple Night Market. If you enjoy being where the action is, this is it.
Value for Money: For a budget-friendly price (often around $25–$30 USD), you get a surprisingly spacious room. Unlike many modern ”shoebox” hotels, these rooms have plenty of floor space.
Breakfast Buffet: Many guests are pleasantly surprised by the breakfast. It’s a local spread—think braised pork rice (Lu Rou Fan), porridge, and stir-fried vegetables—alongside basic toast and coffee.
Unexpected Perks: Even the budget rooms often come with a bathtub, which is a rare find at this price point. The hotel also offers free use of a washing machine on the first floor. The ”Old School” RealityVintage Vibes: The hotel is definitely showing its age. You’ll find wooden doors with traditional locks, dated carpets, and some ”dusty” corners. It’s clean where it counts (the sheets and towels), but it doesn’t feel ”modern.”No Central Heating: Like many older buildings in Taiwan, there is usually no heater in the rooms. If you visit during a cold snap in January or February, it can feel a bit chilly inside.
Eco-Friendly Policy: As of 2025, they no longer provide disposable amenities (toothbrushes, combs, etc.) due to government regulations, so remember to pack your own!
Windowless Rooms: If you book the ”Comfort” or ”Economy” tiers, be aware that many of these rooms do not have windows.

If you are looking for a ”main character” aesthetic for your TikTok or a luxury spa experience, this isn't the place. However, if you need a safe, quiet, and incredibly convenient base for a night or two while exploring Hsinchu, Hua Tai Hotel is a reliable classic that won't break the bank.

GGuest UserThe hotel staff were very friendly, and there was a water dispenser in the lobby on the first floor. The downsides were that the room was too cold; even after asking the staff for two blankets, it was still very cold. The mattress was very hard, the shower had very little water flow, and the water temperature was either too hot or too cold, making it difficult to control. The toilet tank also had insufficient water.

The bed was very comfortable. The room I booked had two beds and a sofa. I was very satisfied with the price.

GGuest UserEventhough there are some wrong messages between Trip. Com, their agent agoda and the hotel. But the hotel's staff was handling it in patients and good manners.
Also a credit to Trip. Com service team, very easy to keep in touch through data call and very fast to identify their issues. Best thing of Trip. Com was very responsibility and accountable on their advertisements in their platform. Eventually they made a compensation for the mastake.

WWu NelsonThe room is simple and clean, but the tables and chairs in the room are old and the bathroom is small. The breakfast has fewer types and is replenished quickly. Parking is inconvenient. The parking lot downstairs is a bit scary. It is more convenient to cooperate with the market parking lot.
