"Stayed here in end Aug where there wasn’t much snow cap on the mountains and a lot of clouds blocking the mountain peaks, but I’d say that the room view is still really nice because there’s sun, lake, mountain, clouds all in one! What we appreciated from this hotel: 1. The views: on day 1, we had afternoon tea (complimentary with our booking) and just enjoyed the view. We also tried to catch sunrise from our bed, and also enjoyed the view over complimentary breakfast at Level 1. 2. The service: this is the most supportive service we’ve ever had among all the hotels in China and other countries we have been to. - transport: They helped us to schedule complimentary pickup transfers from Lijiang train station to the hotel on our first day and from hotel to Lijiang Sanyi airport on our last day. - Taobao: They also helped me a lot with my many Taobao orders, across communicating with the delivery people, collecting (1x a day) from the collection point, returning some items as they weren’t fitting, applying for refund as my parcels still didn’t arrive on the last day etc. - other advice: getting used to higher altitude in Lijiang, how to use the washing machine & dryer, recovering from diarrhoea, whether we can still visit Lijiang Ancient City at night - other hotel items: gave us makeup remover and cotton pads when we had our photoshoot etc. - food: packed breakfast for us when we had day tours that started from 6am and asked us to pick our breakfast if we’re eating at hotel a day before. - housekeeping: they’d ask us if we’d like housekeeping when we waited for our didi to come. For the 6am day tours when reception wasn’t open yet, we texted them for help to tidy the room and we came back to a tidied room when we returned. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Super comprehensive service, we highly appreciated this. 3. Toilet: this toilet has a bidet! We were pleasantly surprised by this. While the area around the hotel is generally still developing, to which one of our Didi drivers said there was growing interest in real estate around the area, among the 3 hotels we stayed in Yunnan so far across Kunming, Dali and Lijiang, this is the best one we have had 😊"

"The room type was excellent, with a large balcony offering great lake views, and the natural light was fantastic. The kids absolutely loved it; they had so much fun running around in the spacious room! The adults also appreciated this room type, as we could enjoy late-night snacks in the living room without worrying about disturbing the children's sleep. The hotel offers many family-friendly activities, including alpacas, ponies, and goats, and you can even feed the swans. The breakfast was quite varied, and we were even able to pack some food for the kids for later, which was very convenient. The afternoon tea was also good; the coffee was delicious, but I wouldn't recommend that particular cake – maybe try another one. The service was great. We stayed for two nights, but there were so many activities we didn't get to experience them all. I think staying a few more days would allow us to try everything. We'll definitely stay there again!"

"Service: Both Butler Lisa and Concierge Andy Li provided excellent service. Lisa knew I was suffering from altitude sickness and sent me a lot of tips, which I found very thoughtful. Andy Li helped me with my luggage and chatted a bit while driving me to and from the hotel lobby; his service was also great. I'm quite outgoing and enjoy talking to people, and his conversation was very comfortable. I feel like the service at hotels in Lijiang this time was generally good; they even delivered takeout to the room (except for the InterContinental Lijiang Ancient Town, and I'm not sure which other InterContinentals offer this service; so far, among InterContinental properties, I only know the Regent Chongqing does). The concierge team definitely deserves praise. Cleanliness: I've always been very satisfied with the cleanliness at InterContinental properties, whether it's Regent or InterContinental; they consistently do a great job. Breakfast: The variety was extensive, but the taste was just average. However, the breakfast staff were very enthusiastic and often encouraged me to try Lijiang specialties, which was nice. Facilities: The room was a bit dated, but well-maintained. The water pressure was good, and the hairdryer was efficient. All the chargers worked. The bathroom door, however, was very heavy and difficult to push. Every time I used the toilet or showered, pushing that door made my altitude sickness feel even worse. Overall, the stay at InterContinental Lijiang Ancient Town was quite good. The space felt private, and the soundproofing was decent. For getting around, there's a sightseeing shuttle service from the concierge, and the hotel's back gate connects directly to Dayan Ancient Town. The service was also good, and most importantly, the cleanliness was excellent. If you're visiting Dayan Ancient Town, staying at InterContinental Lijiang Ancient Town is a pretty good choice."

"Staying in the Jacuzzi Villa was an absolute delight! The Naxi-style courtyard was elegant and peaceful, and the private, temperature-controlled Jacuzzi was clean and comfortable. Soaking under the stars at night melted away all my travel fatigue. I must commend Elin, our butler, for her outstanding service. From coordinating before our arrival to her attentive care during our stay, she was always quick to respond to any needs. She was thoughtful and professional, never intrusive, which truly enhanced the relaxing vacation vibe. The facilities were excellent, and the service was an added bonus – a perfect Lijiang getaway! Highly recommended!"

"What an amazing getaway! If you are more into nature and culture....THIS IS YOUR SPOT! It is tucked away inside Shuhe Old Town but you would never know. Once you get there, it is quiet. They are very proud to show you their gardens, their squirrels (they are well provided for), their cats, and what they truly enjoy. We were welcomed with drinks, fruit, and delicious buckwheat bread while we were introduced to the dining area and the movie and games area. Their menu is wonderful. Breakfast is provided and has a set menu of Asian versus Western (i had French toast one morning and pancakes the next) and then an extra section where you can also have yogurt with toppings, fruits, breads, coffee, etc. Other meals are ordered from the menu. The variety is wonderful and the taste and quality are worth it. After traveling throughout China for a few weeks, I really just wanted a burger. The Yak burger was amazing! WARNING: once you pick it up for the first bite, you must commit to it. There is no putting it down. My hands were just a joyous mix of meat juice, cheese dripping, pickle juice, egg dripping....luckily there is a restroom right there to wash up after. Our room was very cute, small, odd, but it worked for us and you could tell it would be cozy come the snow seasons-which we will return for. The odd part was the steps that lead down into the bathroom. I thought, oooo how fun! Not so much in the middle of the night if you are not used to it. But not all rooms have that so don't let that discourage you from enjoying this place. If you are finished walking Shuhe Old Town, there are more options. We decided to walk around the back of the garden. Following the trail, we wound up in a very beautiful park with water and bridges and places to sit. Eventually, we came out at one of the ends of Shuhe. Again, you would never have known because there was no interrupting noises to tell you otherwise. One of the days we took Didi to Baisha Old Town. Another must go! We spent a full day there and still did not finish. Even the rain didn't stop everyone from enjoying everything. Make sure you find the silk art school. It is tucked away but they have a wonderful program. I could do an entire blog on their contributions and empowerment for women but for now, just go enjoy and buy something, support them. Overall, we loved this place and will go back. We were not able to enjoy the mountain this time."

"This stay was incredibly restorative. The hotel's view was amazing; opening the window revealed stunning snow-capped scenery, truly picturesque and perfect for photos. The room was clean and tidy, and the heating was excellent, making the room warm and cozy in the cold weather. The bedding was comfortable, and it was very quiet at night, allowing for a great rest. The staff were attentive and offered helpful travel advice. It’s a perfect escape from city life to quietly enjoy the snow, ideal for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommended!"

"Among all the hotels I blindly picked for my Yunnan trip, this one was by far the most satisfying. I believe Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is visible in the distance, and the view from the restaurant is truly stunning. Both the service and the facilities are impeccable. For travel, choosing Accor hotels is always a safe bet. I had originally planned to stay at a guesthouse inside the Old Town the next day, but because the service and environment here were so great and the value for money was unbeatable, I canceled my other booking and extended my stay here for another night. What also really impressed me was the hotel's breakfast. They offered authentic Yunnan specialties like rice noodles, Er’si (a local noodle-like dish), and flower cakes. The freshly cooked Er’si was incredibly springy and absolutely delicious. All the flower cakes and mini bread rolls were freshly baked too, which was a huge plus! 👍"

"The hosts (a family) are very friendly and helpful. What really made an impression was their exceptional taste both for good quality products they provide to the upkeeping of the aesthetics of this 5 year old inn. It is a really nice place to 放空. It is also very near the Lijiang Dayan Gucheng as well as the tourist shuttle bus station a 5 min walk straight down and turn right. At night, if u are craving for a tipple, they have their homemade fruit and flower wines made from brandy 白兰氏 (this is what one of the hosts told me). I really recc the black rice wine and the pu er wine. I had a very early tour and they even packed a takeaway bag with bread, milk and fruit for you. I must say the bread was so yummy I asked where they got it from. The packet milk is a German brand. This is how devoted to quality they are. I love their warm hospitality and is giving them 5 stars. The experience really made up for the misconception I had that I booked a mountain view room. Perhaps it's good to get that term changed on the app to garden view to prevent misunderstanding. I got a garden view room and I still love it. They have a really beautiful garden as you can see from my photos. Kudos to them. It made all the climbing up slope worth the while. I will book a didi everytime I come back instead just for this."
