"We are a group of 12 Malaysian who spent 5 days 4 Nights at Tengchong. The lady boss - 素素 is very nice and friendly. The hotel provided airport transfer and was picked up by the lady boss personally. Rooms are big and with all amenities. Location of the hotel is also quite convenient. Nearby a lot of local restaurants. Right opposite the hotel is the bus station where we could book or charter bus to travel back to KunMing. Front desk staffs were very friendly and helpfully. Breakfast is delicious. The hotel could arrange for our local tour to TengChong and 芒市 tour at a very reasonable package tour."

The natural hot spring water is smooth, making for a pleasant soaking experience. The grounds are picturesque for photos, and the decor is undeniably upscale. **However, the pricing and family amenities are major drawbacks, significantly detracting from the overall experience:** 1. **Unreasonable Room Type Price Differences:** A basic room without a private hot spring costs around 800 yuan, but a room with a balcony and private hot spring adds almost 500 yuan, bringing the total for one night to nearly 1300 yuan. This markup is excessive, and the actual utility of the private hot spring doesn't justify such a significant price difference. 2. **Not Family-Friendly:** For a trip that's clearly a family outing with children, breakfast for kids requires separate payment. "Facilities: Excellent. The hardware is well-equipped and new. There's even a very useful washing machine in the room, making it perfect for long stays. Cleanliness: Excellent. Environment: It's located in a large complex full of 4S car dealerships. There are plenty of parking spaces, and because it's set back from the street, it's surprisingly quiet at night, which is great for rest. If you turn right when you leave, you'll find the long-distance bus station and a large supermarket. There's a dedicated bus line to the volcano, which you can catch at the bus stop on the northeast side of the Xu Xiake roundabout. Everything is very convenient. Service: Excellent. They answer all your questions and helped us book hot spring tickets for less than what 'this' and 'that' platform offered. The front desk staff are well-trained; they stand up to greet guests from a distance as soon as they see them arrive. They even provide four large bottles of mineral water in the room daily, which is a very thoughtful and generous touch."

"The service of this hotel really made us feel ”home away from home”, which made us deeply moved. During the stay with the child, the child suddenly had stomach discomfort. After the front desk learned, the warm baby and anti-heat stickers were sent as soon as possible, helping us coordinate the replacement of a quieter room. The front desk manager Yang Yang, Miss 014 and 021 are patient and attentive. The young ladies and brothers who check in at the front desk are very Nice, and the room cleaning staff are also serious and responsible. The catering manager Yuan specially helped arrange millet porridge. The day was also the child's birthday. All the 9th floor catering department brothers and sisters also sang a happy birthday song and sent blessings. Every employee is enthusiastic and responsible, very caring, and actively asks about needs. This meticulous care makes us feel the warmth of home during the journey. "The location is fantastic! The breakfast place in the alley across the street and Ah Min's drink shop are super delicious – incredible value for money, highly recommend! The surrounding area is very convenient. The front desk lady was great; she listened carefully to our needs before assigning a room and promptly resolved any issues we had. Our room had a beautiful mountain view! The laundry room was clean and convenient, but there was always a long queue. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel because there were so many great options nearby, haha! We stayed for three days on this Tengchong trip and were very satisfied and comfortable! 👍👍👍"

"Everything else about the hotel was satisfactory, including the very friendly front desk staff who checked us in that day. The two-point deduction is for the following reasons: 1. On the first day of check-in, I turned to throw a snack wrapper into the trash can and heard another front desk staff member swearing loudly, for several sentences. She was still going when I walked back. This person was right next to the staff member who was checking me in. 2. On the second night, I asked for ice, specifically stating it was for consumption, and to my shock, it was delivered in a plastic bag. 3. On the first night, due to a smoky smell in the room, especially near the headboard, I requested a room change. They upgraded me, but only for one night, meaning I'd have to move again the next day – a situation I'd never encountered before! I immediately offered to forgo the upgrade, as I didn't want to pack and unpack continuously. The hotel said they no longer had the standard room type I booked. Later, they said they would check the room availability for the next day, but I had already checked on Ctrip and saw that the hotel was not fully booked, just that the basic room types were unavailable, and this situation was not our fault. On the second day, they again asked us to change rooms. It was only after repeated communication that they agreed not to. During the first room change, we had a lot of luggage. Our efforts with the staff to move our bags even caused a blockage for two other luggage carts. The hotel repeatedly asked us to change rooms without considering the guest experience, which led me to constantly worry about packing for the next day, even when I was trying to unpack on the first night. Our plans for an early morning outing on the second day also fell through because of the room change issue."

"This hotel was the best one I stayed at during my 10-day trip to Yunnan. From the moment I arrived, I felt truly at home. When I checked in at the front desk, the staff immediately offered me hot flower tea. They thoughtfully informed me about the rooftop hot spring's opening hours and enthusiastically recommended local delicacies. They even brought the afternoon tea, which we had missed, to our room, really showcasing the excellent service in Tengchong. After checking in, we went to the restaurant recommended by the front desk and then enjoyed the rooftop hot spring. The hot spring water was incredibly comfortable – my body doesn't lie! That night, I slept soundly and deeply, and my skin felt so smooth and improved. In the evening, the front desk sent up two bowls of tremella soup. Another heartwarming gesture! On the day of checkout, the front desk staff kindly asked if we had breakfast and even gave us a souvenir when we left. If my itinerary hadn't been pre-arranged, I would have definitely stayed an extra day in Tengchong just for this hotel."

Upon arriving in Ginkgo Village, we booked the Jubing Hot Spring Inn. While a bit pricey, it was a fantastic value. Although newly renovated, it didn't feel like a renovation. The room was spotlessly clean, fully equipped, and the bedding was my favorite white color—very classy and comfortable. There's a large bathhouse with hot springs, which was incredibly relaxing. There are two ginkgo trees in the courtyard. Perhaps we arrived a little early, so the leaves hadn't yet turned yellow, but that didn't detract from the beauty. It was perfect for photos and a photo opportunity, and the scenery was stunning! The owner was especially welcoming and attentive, and the breakfast included was delicious. I had a fantastic experience and was completely satisfied!

I rarely leave reviews, but this guesthouse is truly one of the best I've ever stayed at. It's located right in the middle of the ancient town, making it convenient to go anywhere, yet it's not noisy. The environment is also quite beautiful, and the courtyard is kept very clean. The owner is an exceptionally good driver. She navigated the narrow alleys of the ancient town with ease, while we were all on edge. She was also very welcoming; every day when we returned from our activities, she would invite us to sit down for tea and offer us food, treating us like family. The housekeeper was also exceptionally kind and attentive. She immediately took care of anything we needed, preparing breakfast for us in the morning and helping us with our luggage. She truly put her heart into serving her guests. The breakfast was absolutely superb, with a different menu every day, a well-balanced mix of meat and vegetables, ensuring we were both full and satisfied. The rice noodles were unforgettable, and the rice noodle soup was delicious too. In the evenings, after a tiring day of sightseeing, she would even prepare hot spring water for us to soak in, which was incredibly relaxing. Honestly, staying here didn't feel like staying in a hotel; it felt more like visiting a friend's house. The owner recommended some restaurants and attractions, and we tried them all – they were really good, no rip-offs. We even borrowed the owner's lobby to order takeout, which was a really nice experience. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in the ancient town. Wishing the owner and manager a happy life, booming business, and a lifetime of peace and happiness.

We've entered an idyllic haven where aesthetics and warmth coexist! This guesthouse completely captivated our entire family ❤️ From the moment we stepped through the door, our eyes were conquered by the fusion of Chinese and Western design aesthetics! The meticulously tended succulents, the chandeliers under the old wooden beams, the vintage leather sofas and oil paintings… every corner is like a carefully curated art gallery, every snapshot a masterpiece of atmosphere 📸 Even more delightful were the guesthouse's five cats 🐾. Their gentle nature instantly made them my son's best playmates. The little guy chased his ”furry butlers” all over the yard every day, his innocent laughter and the cats' purring becoming the most beautiful background music of our trip. The common areas are veritable ”all-in-one living rooms”: wake up your taste buds with hand-drip coffee at the bar in the morning ☕, curl up on the sofa with the cats and read a book in the afternoon, and sing karaoke with friends in the karaoke room 🎤 or play cards at the card table 🃏 in the evening… Most surprisingly, there's a tranquil Buddhist shrine hidden deep within 🕯️! In the brief moment of quiet contemplation while burning incense, the hustle and bustle abruptly ceases. This collision of Eastern Zen and Western entertainment is a truly soul-stirring fusion! The most satisfying two nights in Yunnan, I am more used to staying in hotels, but Fengli B&B is indeed the right choice! Location: The taxi positioning is accurate. Behind the official hotel, there is a very quiet homestay area, and takeaways can be delivered. Environment: clean, warm, emotional, willing to work hard in the details, sincerity is the boss's hospitality, every time I meet, I will greet you warmly ～ Facilities: The twin room has a large space, the bedding is super comfortable, the pillows kill most hotels in seconds, the central air-conditioning ＋ wall-mounted air-conditioning, and the toiletries are dreamed back to college time in one second. Weight scales, sewing boxes, nail clippers, floss, masks, earplugs, etc. are available! There are two washing machines and one dryer in the common area, which can be used by self-service. Service: Drinking water, soda, snacks, fruit are all provided free of charge. Breakfast is served in the small restaurant with sour seeds and sugar. There are freshly cooked bait silk and rice noodles. The coffee is delicious! Please ask the boss to arrange a car drop-off in advance, and received a warm souvenir on the day of departure.～ Because the itinerary is tight, we basically leave early and return late, and we have not been able to experience the slow life of the homestay, but it does not affect my determination to strongly recommend Fengli!

Nuangui Homestay I sent emails to Nuangui via trip.com on 24 Nov and 30 Nov to arrange for complimentary pick up. I got no reply to my 2 emails. I telephoned Nuangui via trip.com on 1 Dec before flying out to TengChong, a lady answered the phone, she insisted she didn't receive my 2 emails, but promised to arrange pick up. When we arrived in TengChong we were picked up and dropped off at the entrance of HeShun and given a gps map sharing location and told to find our own way to the minsu after eating because their staff/boss refused to meet and greet us at the HeShun entrance. At the time it was around 9.30pm. Despite the gps map sharing, we spent a long time walking around dark, narrow, quiet streets of HeShun looking for something to eat and then later the minsu location. In the end we couldn't find the minsu. There was no one around to ask for durections and it was quite dark and very cold. By around 11.15pm we finally gave up looking and called the minsu to come and find us and take us to the minsu. They only answered after a few minutes of calling. It was lucky we insisted on calling, we would never have found the minsu by ourselves. The minsu itself was great, comfortable and clean. The location is convenient (when u know where it is and how to get there). The minsu staff took our luggage all the way, from the airport to the minsu, which was very helpful, I wouldn't have made it to the minsu if I had to carry my own luggage because a lot of the HsShun streets are uneven, uphill and many steps. The only hic up was the bath, originally we thought it wasn't working because there was no hot water coming out from the hot water tap. After 3 nights of stay, we later found out that the taps were installed incorrectly, C water tap meant hot water and the other way round. Also, even though staying in minsu in HeShun, you still have to pay entrance tickets, that wasn't pointed out on the minsu details.

The view from the B&B is amazing. It's so enjoyable to just lie in bed or sit on the sofa and gaze at Wild Duck Lake. The hot springs are real hot spring water too. I had a few allergic reactions on my first night, but I slept so soundly that night. I absolutely loved the private hot spring bath on the large terrace. On my first night, I soaked in the hot springs, drank plum wine from the small restaurant downstairs, listened to music, admired the beautiful view of Wild Duck Lake, and watched the clouds drift across the sky. ⛅️ It felt like life was worth it. On our last night, the helpful manager remotely filled the hot springs. Suddenly, it started to rain heavily. I couldn't let the water go to waste, so I suddenly had the idea of ​​soaking in the hot springs under an umbrella. ♨️ What an unforgettable experience. When I checked out today, the handsome front desk guy drove me to my hotel downtown. His service was so thoughtful and deserves a five-star rating. Shanghai was 40 degrees Celsius, but Tengchong was only 18 today—such cool weather. Tengchong is perfect for a lazy person like me to just relax. See you next time.

I usually don’t write reviews, but this place was honestly one of the highlights of my trip to Tengchong. The location is absolutely beautiful. It’s tucked away in the mountains, surrounded by greenery and open fields, so it feels peaceful and secluded without being too far from the main attractions. Waking up to misty mountain views every morning was such a treat. The biggest reason I booked this place was the private hot spring, and it did not disappoint. The hot spring water comes directly from Rehai and is available 24/7. Having a private soaking pool in the courtyard was amazing—completely private, quiet, and perfect after a long day of exploring. After visiting Rehai and the surrounding attractions, soaking in the warm mineral water felt incredibly relaxing. My muscles felt less sore, and I slept so well afterward. The room itself was spotless and very comfortable. The bed was soft, the bathroom was modern and well-maintained, and even the toiletries felt high quality. Everything was clean and thoughtfully prepared. What really stood out was the service. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. We were greeted with fresh local fruit, and they took the time to explain how to use the hot spring and recommend places to visit nearby. They were always quick to help whenever we had questions. Breakfast here was delicious, with local Tengchong specialties like freshly cooked rice noodles and eggs. There’s also a nice spot to grab coffee and relax around the property. Whether you’re visiting as a couple, with family, or bringing your parents for a relaxing wellness getaway, I would definitely recommend this place. If I ever return to Tengchong, I’d stay here again without hesitation.
