Ξενοδοχεία πολυτελείας σε Χακόνε

"We really enjoyed our stay here! While the hotel is a little out of the way, it was the perfect choice for us as it's conveniently located near the speedway, which was the main reason for our visit. If you're driving, the free parking is a huge plus, and there's also a shuttle service if you don't have a car. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with thoughtful amenities. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we slept very well. Very good gym which we utilised After a relaxing soak in the onsen, enjoying the complimentary milk was such a nice touch and something we looked forward to. We added breakfast to our stay, and it was definitely worth it. There was a wide variety of delicious Japanese and Western options, with plenty to choose from each morning. Overall, it was a wonderful stay with excellent facilities and friendly staff. We'd definitely stay here again, especially if we're visiting the speedway."

"Our stay at Hakone Ten-yu was absolutely wonderful and definitely the most memorable part of our Japan trip. The hotel boasts a beautiful setting with stunning views of the Hakone mountains, making the entire stay incredibly relaxing. The highlight for us was the hotel's onsen, especially ”Uki-Gumo no Yu.” The open-air infinity bath offered breathtaking views. Soaking in the hot springs while watching the sunrise in the morning truly made us feel embraced by nature. The room was also very comfortable, with a charming Japanese aesthetic. The staff were friendly and attentive, providing warm and exceptional hospitality. Dinner was exquisite, and the entire dining experience felt very special. Staying here as a family, enjoying the onsen, wearing yukata, and savoring delicious food made for a truly comfortable Hakone getaway. If you're planning a trip to Hakone, I highly recommend Ten-yu! The scenery, hot springs, service, and overall atmosphere are all fantastic. It's definitely worth another visit. ♨️✨"

"Service: All staff members were incredibly nice and welcoming! Thank you for your hospitality 🫶 Facilities: The private rock onsen in the room was spacious and beautiful, and the hot spring bath even had certifications on display, which was a nice touch. Environment: The grounds are vast and very picturesque, with top-notch landscape design. Food: Both breakfast and dinner were served in our room. The server meticulously arranged everything and explained each dish. The staff even emailed ahead of time to ask about any food allergies, which was very thoughtful. Transportation: There's a shuttle bus service available by reservation. I booked mine via email."

"A short drive from Lake Yamanaka, we checked into here for the night—mainly because we wanted to explore the area and try the region’s famous Hōtō noodles. We chose a traditional Japanese futon room for the experience. That meant laying out our own beds—slightly clumsy, a bit of trial and error, and a lot of laughing when we realised there’s no “redo” once everything’s set. The weather had a chill to it, so the onsen became the highlight. Stepping into the hot water while the cold air lingered outside—it slowed everything down in a way you don’t realise you need. Nothing extravagant, nothing overly planned. Just the four of us, figuring things out as we went. Looking back, it wasn’t the hotel or even the lake—it was those small, unpolished moments that made the night feel complete."

"This Japanese garden-style hotel sets the bar high. As the car pulled up, I felt like a tycoon returning home, with staff lined up on both sides to welcome me. The room was incredibly spacious, featuring a private onsen and a personal garden. Sitting on the room's veranda, enjoying the trickling stream in the private garden and listening to the patter of rain, made me completely forget the time! The service was incredibly attentive and impeccable. The hotel has international interns, and several students from Taiwan provided service in Mandarin, which was a fantastic touch. Breakfast and dinner were included, and the exquisite kaiseki dinner was truly delightful. After dinner, I enjoyed exploring the old architecture along the hotel's internal corridors. When I occasionally encountered staff, they greeted me respectfully, which added to the wonderful experience. In the morning and evening, you can admire the beautiful Japanese garden, which is quite expansive, featuring pavilions, bridges over streams, and a lotus pond. Highly recommended!"

"This is quite a large hotel, and while it definitely shows its age, it's well-maintained and tidy. The room I had this time offered incredibly beautiful views and was very spacious. I particularly enjoyed how the lobby felt very 'backroom-esque' late at night when no one was around – it could almost be a unique selling point! 😂 In terms of location, it's fairly convenient if you have a car, though there's one section with a rather rough mountain road to get up, which might be uncomfortable for performance cars."

"The hotel is located near Gora Station, and they offer a shuttle service. We were on a self-driving trip, and navigating there required a bit of careful attention, but there's parking available right outside the hotel. I give very high marks for the hotel's ambiance, the staff's service attitude, and the comfort of the rooms. The room was spacious, and the single beds were also very wide. The toilet and bathroom were separate, and there was a private onsen on the balcony. We ordered breakfast at the hotel, which was a Japanese-Western selection, pretty similar to what you'd find at a typical Western buffet."

"The environment is amazing, and the dinner buffet is incredible – it was the best value-for-money hotel on my six-day trip. I especially have to mention the dinner; definitely book it, the quality is excellent. The private onsen I booked for the evening was also very clean. Although a bit small, it offered good privacy, so it was still great. It's a shame it rained on the day I stayed, so I didn't get a chance to explore the hotel. I'll definitely book here again next time I visit Hakone."

"As a Korean family living in the United States, we stayed here as a family of four with our two young children (40 months and 21 months old), and overall, we had a truly memorable experience. We booked through Trip.com, and because there were no clearly stated child occupancy policies during booking, we reserved the room as 3 adults. This later created some confusion during check-in, which I will mention below, but aside from that, nearly everything about this hotel was exceptional. First, the positives: The breakfast was outstanding—worthy of its Michelin Guide 2025 recognition. Every meal was beautifully prepared, thoughtful, and delicious. We chose a traditional Japanese-style room with tatami flooring, and for our family with young children, it was perfect. Being able to remove our shoes and comfortably live on the floor felt especially natural and relaxing as Asians, and parents with little children will understand how convenient and comfortable this setup is. The location is also excellent—within walking distance from Gora Station, where the mountain railway arrives. Even with two small children, the walk was very manageable. The onsen experience was wonderful, and the guest lounge available from morning until 10 PM was another highlight that made the stay feel luxurious and comfortable. The dining area itself deserves special praise. Enjoying breakfast and dinner while overlooking the beautiful inner garden pond was peaceful and elegant, and the restaurant service team was abundant, attentive, warm, and professional. It truly felt like top-class hospitality. Now, one disappointment: During check-in, one female staff member wearing a headscarf made several comments that felt unnecessarily cold and transactional. Because we booked as 3 adults, she repeatedly explained that our children could be accommodated because of that booking choice—as if we were receiving an exception—despite there being no clearly stated child policy during reservation. She also explained that only 3 adult yukata/lounge outfits had been prepared in the room because we booked for 3 adults, and said we could request children's clothing “if needed.” When I asked when we should request them, she simply repeated that we could ask when necessary. At that point, a more thoughtful hospitality approach would have been something simple like: “I see you have two young children—would you like us to prepare children’s outfits now?” That small difference would have reflected genuine care. At check-out, I again observed behavior that felt uncomfortable. A trainee staff member was assisting us, and when the trainee forgot to request identification, the same staff member visibly frowned and corrected the trainee in front of us. It felt unnecessarily tense and unprofessional in front of guests. What stood out was that every other staff member we encountered was warm, polite, smiling, and genuinely welcoming. They bowed, greeted us kindly, and made us feel respected. Only this one staff member felt noticeably different—cold enough that we were left wondering whether it was discomfort toward children, cultural bias, or simply a personal attitude issue. I travel frequently internationally for business in a senior executive role, and this was the first time I experienced service that felt this distinctly uncomfortable from a luxury hospitality employee. That said, I want to emphasize: everyone else at the hotel was wonderful, and the property itself is beautiful, peaceful, elegant, and family-friendly. We would gladly return—but I hope the warmth shown by the rest of the team becomes the standard reflected consistently by every member of staff."

"This hotel is great for seniors; the hot springs are nice, and while the facilities are a bit old, they're clean. Environment: There aren't many other hotels nearby. Hygiene: It's good; the cleaning staff does a good job."
