"After comparing several accommodations for my trip to Zhangye Danxia, I chose Kaoshan Daying (Back Mountain Camp). The Starry Sky Yurt was what truly captivated me, and my entire stay exceeded expectations – highly recommended! Location-wise, the camp is right next to the West Gate of the Danxia scenic area, making travel incredibly convenient. No need for roundabout detours; I could step out early in the morning to catch the Danxia sunrise. This fantastic location also saved me a lot of effort when it came to stargazing at night. Now, let's talk about the Starry Sky Yurt. Before I arrived, I was a bit worried about roughing it in a tent out in the wilderness, but my stay completely changed my mind. The yurt was spotlessly clean and tidy, well-ventilated with no strange odors. The bed was soft and comfortable, and despite the large temperature swings in the Gobi Desert between day and night, the interior was well-insulated and never felt cold or damp. The en-suite bathroom was excellent, with 24-hour hot water and a full range of toiletries. It truly offered a luxurious wilderness experience that blended comfort with ambiance, without compromising on daily conveniences. However, the panoramic skylight at the top of the yurt was the real highlight and the biggest surprise of my trip. The camp is far from the city, meaning almost no light pollution. As night fell, the entire sky was unblocked and spread out above me. I didn't even have to step outside into the wind; I could lie in bed and gaze up at the countless stars. The Milky Way stretched clearly across the mountains, with stars so bright and dense – a magnificent night sky rarely seen in the city. Lying there quietly, watching the celestial river flow and listening to the distant Gobi breeze, all my travel fatigue slowly melted away. It was incredibly romantic and healing. The camp's amenities were also very thoughtful. In the evening, you can enjoy a starlit BBQ and hotpot. After dinner, there's a bonfire party. Then, after a stroll, you return to your yurt to continue enjoying the tranquil starry sky. The self-driving parking area is spacious, and RV resupply facilities are comprehensive. The staff were warm and meticulous in their service; they thoughtfully informed me of the best stargazing times and were always on hand to help with any issues. The unique Danxia mountain light show at night, coupled with the vast starry sky, created a multi-layered and stunning view. The special clear-broth suoyang hotpot was authentic and generously portioned, perfect for a hot meal after a day of exploring. Whether you're traveling as a couple or with friends, the Starry Sky Yurt is an exceptionally suitable choice. You can admire the Danxia landforms up close and immerse yourself in lying under the Milky Way – it perfectly combines natural beauty with comfortable accommodation. This is an unmissable gem when visiting Danxia, and I will definitely choose the Starry Sky Yurt again on my next trip to Zhangye."

"The room was very clean, and the owner was very friendly and helpful. It was the Mid-Autumn Festival when we checked in, and the owner even gave each guest a mooncake. Breakfast was also very good – light and not greasy. It's very close to the west gate of the scenic spot, a mere 10-minute walk. The owner even gave us fridge magnets when we left. I highly recommend this hotel. It was the best value hotel I stayed at during my trip, highly recommended! 👍"

"the owner was so friendly and helpful. they brought us to the entrqnce personally. i only found out that there were two main entrances when i arrived. The North and West entrance. I ended up staying at the West entrance. Not much activities at night. The North was a lot more shops and restaurants around the area. One thing I like was the quietness and the hospitality shown by the owner. They provide a lot of water and a fruit platter too. We walked to the entrance the next morning. Only took about 15 min. Problem is the shuttle busses were not so frequent in the morning session from the West gate. One point to consider. Other than that, this place is superb for less noise. Thank you."

"The room costing over 100 yuan was equipped with a humidifier, disposable bath towels and compressed face towels, which were all plus points. However, the mirror light in my room was broken. I told the boss about it when I went out in the afternoon. When I came back in the evening, I went to the front desk to find the boss and found out that it was not fixed. I asked to change rooms, but there was only one room left on the first floor. It smelled and I didn't change it in the end. For myopia, it is really fatal to put on makeup with the corridor light without a mirror light. When I left, the boss gave me delicious apricots. Later, we went to Zhangye and couldn't buy such delicious apricots. I gave it a full 5 points. I still have to say the truth that the mirror light was broken and it was not fixed in the end."

"This is a smart hotel with advanced facilities. It's very clean, and the bedding is super comfortable – seriously, four pillows, it's fantastic! Plus, they offer unlimited bottled water. Of course, the owner's service is also exceptional. They're a very passionate and chatty person. My whole family had a wonderful time! Among the hotels in this area, 'Cong Cong Na Nian Hotel' (匆匆那年酒店) definitely stands out as a top choice. We actually looked around quite a bit before booking this one on arrival. Wishing the owner great success, and we hope to visit again!"

"Our stay was great! First off, the location is fantastic, just 500 meters from the West Gate of the scenic area. The room facilities are complete and very new, and the bedding is comfortable. The family room is perfect for those with children; it's spacious and we had a wonderful night's sleep. The owners are incredibly welcoming and helpful – they assisted us with our luggage and even helped dry our clothes. They also kindly offered us fruit. Basically, they were happy to help with anything we needed, which added a lovely warmth to our trip. Plus, breakfast was right outside the door."

"The house is spacious and the supporting facilities are very complete, with cold water, hot water and pure water. The location is excellent, very close to the west gate of the scenic spot, and the parking lot at the entrance is very convenient for parking. The store’s service is intimate and thoughtful, the bedding quality is outstanding, and it is particularly comfortable to fall asleep; The air conditioning is cool and the room is quiet and not noisy. "To my utter surprise, the most comfortable stay on this trip to Northwest China was actually at the guesthouse I randomly booked at the Rainbow Mountains. With two adults and one child, we booked a room with one double bed and one single bed. The mattresses and pillows were very comfortable, and the overall environment was quiet, so we slept very well. The family room we booked in the city had a noisy air conditioner unit outside the window, so we finally got a good night's sleep here. The hotel was also incredibly close to the scenic area, just a ten-minute walk, perfect for guests wanting to see the sunrise at the Rainbow Mountains. There were also plenty of restaurants nearby."

It's only a 700-meter walk to the Colorful Danxia scenic area. Hygiene: Very clean, no strange odors, and everything was tidied up perfectly. Environment: The surrounding area is decent, but the hotel's interior environment is truly amazing! Service: We almost missed our trip to the scenic area, but the owner personally drove us there – so incredibly welcoming. The next day, he even drove us to Kangle Grassland.
