"I checked in early in the afternoon, and the moment I opened the door, I just wanted to take pictures. Wow. The sunlight streaming through the curtains was so warm and inviting. Combined with how clean and tidy the room was, my first thought was, 'I definitely made the right choice.' The facilities and equipment were quite new, but most importantly, everything was spotless. On the table was a copy of 'Ordinary World,' which I'd love to own. The front desk even offered to mail me a new set. After soaking up some sun and resting for a bit, I went down to the front desk to ask for travel tips. Following their advice, I visited one spot after another without having to backtrack. "Very convenient location, 5 minutes walks from Yan An Railway station. Though is not in the main CBD, can catch many buses to go downtown.
We had booked a non smoking room, but was given a smoking room instead, when we asked for the change, hotel staff sent housekeeping to take away ash tray and spray the room with air freshener which didn’t work and said that it was beyond their control if others to smoke inside the room. After some insistence then only the staff acceded to our request.
The recovery service was then followed with daily provision of fresh salads and breakfast voucher which we were much appreciated for these token."

This hotel is located near many of Yan'an's attractions including Yan'an News Memorial Hall, Yan'an Jiefang Theater and Taiheshan Taoist Temple. "I stayed in the first room on the left after exiting the elevator on the fourth floor. The window was by the stairs. There was a slipper under the bed, which suggests they never clean under there. Upstairs, there must be a KTV because I could hear singing until 1 or 2 AM, which disturbed my sleep. Plus, there was a low-frequency noise, probably from some large equipment room near the unit. Parking was also quite tight, though that might have been due to the May Day holiday; I'm not sure what it's usually like.
Now for the good points: The bathroom had a three-way split design (separate toilet, shower, and sink areas), and they provided face towels. The bedding was comfortable, and breakfast was plentiful. I'd recommend booking a higher floor to avoid the noise."

From here, it's a quick 5-minute drive to the end of the road, followed by a pleasant 3-4 minute walk past Longwang Temple, where you'll discover a fantastic viewing platform. This spot offers the absolute best perspective of Qing Shui Bay (Clear Water Bay), one of Qiankun Bay's three main attractions, even surpassing the paid viewing area!
It was my first time staying in a *yaodong* (cave dwelling). While it's a replica, not an authentic one, the experience was incredibly immersive and enjoyable. The room itself was spacious, featuring a huge, clean bed. The decor, with local elements like Shaanbei paper cuttings, truly highlighted the distinctive regional character.
The guesthouse features a sizable courtyard with convenient parking right at the entrance. The yard is brimming with various home-grown vegetables, which the owners thoughtfully use to prepare fresh, eco-friendly meals for their guests.
Nights here are wonderfully quiet, and the stars shine brilliantly in the sky – making it the perfect place to stay for a few extra days to simply relax and unwind.
The service was exceptionally warm and hospitable; the owners were always ready to provide detailed information and answer any questions first-time visitors might have.
Overall, a perfect five-star experience!

The hotel pays attention to requests and called me beforehand to ask if I needed airport pickup. The front desk staff are gentle and thoughtful. Although the hotel's location is a bit out of the way, Yan'an is a small city. As long as you're not going to the New Area, a 10-minute taxi ride will get you anywhere. Getting to Erdao Street also only takes about ten minutes.

They even brought us a spoon to eat watermelon when we were short of one. They also delivered fruit to the room. The breakfast was good. It looked like it was renovated in 2018, and I was worried it might be old before checking in, but it was completely different. It looks quite new. It's truly a high-end hotel with excellent value for money.
