"The hotel allows check-in from 1pm which is a big plus. The reception people explained everything upfront. The hotel was located just a short stroll from chapel bridge and there were lots of shops and eateries around. Room was comfortable and clean as well. The sofa bed alone wasn't too comfortable for my teenager but it was manageable. Breakfast offered was too good with lots of options. All in all liked our stay in this hotel"

"Stayed here during my Switzerland trip and really enjoyed my experience! The location is honestly one of the best; right beside the train station and within walking distance to the lake, old town and many attractions, which made travelling around so convenient. After long day trips, it was nice being able to return to the hotel so easily. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious enough for a pleasant stay. The staff were also friendly and helpful whenever needed. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great location and hassle-free stay!"

"The hotel room was spotless, and the bed was wonderfully soft and comfortable. I really appreciated the double lock for added security, and my individual capsule felt very private. The soundproofing was pretty decent too. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always greeting me with a smile and providing excellent service all around. The hotel's central location is fantastic; it's just a three-bus-stop ride to the train station, and there's a Coop supermarket right next door. Having a microwave, kettle, and fridge was a huge plus – perfect for instant noodles and pre-made meals. The bathroom was spacious and private, complete with a hairdryer. The self check-in system was available in multiple languages, which was very convenient. All in all, a really great stay!"

"First off, the location isn't too far from Lucerne train station. We had a Swiss Pass, so we could take the bus for free. We rode one stop, got off, crossed a road, and turned left – super convenient! Many bus routes pass by, and Chapel Bridge is just a walk away. The hotel upgraded us to a deluxe double room, which was much larger. There was plenty of space for luggage, and it didn't feel cramped at all. The room was clean, and they provided two large bottles of water daily, which was enough for our needs. Everything was great, and the only reason I didn't give full marks was the extra tax charged, as others have mentioned. Initially, the front desk staff was polite. When I showed them my booking confirmation, pointing out that the tax on the order differed from what I actually paid, they looked at it for a while, then unhappily replied, 'I don't know.' I ended up contacting Ctrip customer service. They told me they'd contacted the hotel but couldn't negotiate. Finally, Ctrip customer service said they would compensate the difference with points, which arrived quickly – kudos to Ctrip! Many people have brought up this tax issue, and I'm not sure where the problem lies. Other hotels in Switzerland charged exactly what was stated on the booking. Only this hotel charged differently. Although it wasn't a lot of money, it felt a bit uncomfortable. Also, someone mentioned a 100 CHF deposit per day, which they indeed charged. When I checked out, I specifically asked when it would be refunded, and the front desk said the same day, which it was. In Lucerne, there's a Chinese restaurant called No. 8 that serves delicious Chinese food, completely authentic to domestic tastes. The owner is also very nice and polite."

"The room is very warm, the window is the cattle and horses of the farmers, very good natural environment, very quiet, breakfast is very rich. The location is a few hundred meters from the city center train station. It is very convenient to take a S6 from the city center train station for ten minutes."

"This hostel felt like going to a summer camp, all noisy and with lots of companies there. At night though it was rather peaceful, but really hot due to no air conditioning in the room. Lots of convenient lockers for a deposit of 2 CHF that you get back after opening it. Showers too were as if I went to my old dormitory campus, closing with just curtains and no light in the stall behind them, but at least there were plentiful hangers and shelves. Location is pretty far but reachable with a bus, so having a free bus pass was handy (although nobody ever asked to show it). Breakfast was great, lots of choice. For being probably the cheapest option there for a solo traveler, it was really okay."

"Good breakfast spread by swiss standards. Room was clean however the underlying structural deficits are hard to miss like bathroom getting wet after a shower as there are no shower curtains. The water is unable to be drained due to lack of drainage hole. The Trip.com booking indicated a city tax of 14 swiss francs but I was charged 16.40 swiss francs on check in for my 2 days stay."

"No kettle and the room was quite small, but the location is super central. It's really close to Lucerne's main attractions, so if location is a priority for you, this place is a good choice. Switzerland is notoriously expensive, and this area felt a bit rural for the price. I'd estimate a hotel of this caliber would probably cost around 200 RMB in China. There's no free parking, so you'll have to find a paid parking lot nearby."
