"Honestly, 10/10 hotel! It’s so peaceful, clean and has the most beautiful views and amenities. The rooms were clean, very comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was delicious with lots of variety. The staff were lovely and if you didn’t want your room serviced, they would drop off fresh water, coffee, toilet paper and anything else you might need. They offer a free shuttle service to and from the hotel, otherwise you can borrow bikes or it’s a short walk to town when it’s not too hot. There is a really lovely restaurant within walking distance from the hotel who does amazing, very affordable food. We ended up extending another two nights as Pai was so lovely. Just up the road is a scooter hire company who is honest and fair; you can ride out to waterfalls, hot springs, lookout points for sunset and the white buda. There is also a little mini golf course within walking. "What an amazing hotel, I'd even call it a hidden gem! For the price, it's an absolute steal 🤌🏼 It's located right on the riverbank, away from Pai's noisy streets, yet still close enough (a 5-minute walk). It's incredibly clean, smells fresh, and everything works perfectly. I spent the whole evening by the river, watching the most beautiful sunset I've ever seen, and I'm so grateful to the hotel for providing such an opportunity ❤️"

"Located about a 10-15 minutes’ walk from Pai’s walking-street, they offer a shuttle service if you want to avoid the walk. The hotel seems to have been designed as an upscale resort but have seen better days. The upkeep is lacking and aging is apparent everywhere. My room was spacious and comfortable and had all amenities you would find at a 4-star hotel. The bathroom had a walk-in shower that had strong signs of mold. It was raining a lot during my 3-night stay and every time it rained there was a strong sewage smell coming from the bathroom or right outside the bathroom window. The smell was so bad that housekeeping left the front door partially open every day after cleaning to air out the room. The outdoor areas have concrete paved walking paths across that are very moldy and in desperate need or a power-wash. My room was cleaned daily, towels replaced and water bottles replenished. Breakfast was rich with a lot of choices. Lots of fresh vegetables, fruit and a selection of cooked dishes. I let the kitchen know I was a vegan and they gladly offered to cook a special dish of vegetable fried rice for me."

"Budget-Friendly Stay in the Heart of Pai (Walkable to Everything!) Happy in Pai Hotel is a fantastic choice if you're looking for an extremely budget-friendly base right in the center of town. The location is the hotel's biggest asset, making it incredibly convenient for tourists. Location: 5/5 You cannot beat this spot! It's perfectly situated in the city center, making it an easy and pleasant walk to the main Walking Street for evening markets and shopping. There are many popular cafes and excellent restaurants right outside the door, so you'll never be stuck for a meal or coffee. Value: 5/5 The price is very cheap, offering excellent value for money, especially considering the prime location. Rooms & Comfort: 3/5 The rooms are clean and well-maintained. However, I have to be honest—the decor and furnishings make the room look not very comfortable or inviting. It’s functional and clean, but definitely basic. Noise Level: 2/5 A major downside is the poor sound isolation. You can clearly hear noise from the hallway, outside, and sometimes from neighboring rooms. If you are a light sleeper, be prepared for potential disturbances, especially on busy nights or weekends. Overall Impression: If your priority is a cheap, clean, and centrally located place to sleep while you spend most of your time exploring Pai, this hotel is a perfect match. If you are looking for a cozy, quiet, or luxurious room experience, you might want to consider other options. Recommended for: Solo travelers, backpackers, and budget-conscious couples."

"Have booked 2 rooms on the 2nd floor and 2 rooms on the 1st floor. Location near the walking street. Rooms at the 2nd floor were ok but have ants in the toliet. 1st floor rooms toliet ventilation was bad. 1 not working and both have bad smell in the rooms."

"Nice small resort. Good vibe. Go for the larger villas facing the river. Price difference not not much. They are much quieter. The village villas are not villas but more like a cabin, so not sound proof and packed near each other. Breakfast is modest. Great friendly staff. Good Italian restaurant. "I stayed at Luxury Farmhouse Pai for seven nights in December. The property itself is genuinely very nice — the setting is peaceful, the design is well done, the photos are accurate, and the rooms are clean, comfortable, and well looked after. You do get what you pay for in terms of the physical space and overall presentation. Where it fell down for me was the guest experience over a longer stay as a solo traveller. A lot of things felt overly procedural rather than personal. For example, being given breakfast vouchers on check-in and needing to present them every morning felt unnecessary after several days. It’s not a major issue, but it does change how the place feels when you’re there for a week. Breakfast itself was fine but basic — fruit, rice porridge, toast, and eggs. Perfectly acceptable, just not especially memorable. I also had ongoing issues with the Wi-Fi in my room. When connected it was fast, but it dropped out frequently, and I often had to switch networks or hotspot from my phone. Payments for extras were another source of friction. Card payments weren’t accepted for things like laundry, there was no option to run a tab, and when paying cash they often didn’t have change. These are small operational details, but over seven nights they became frustrating. The biggest issue for me was the scooter rental the hotel partners with. They required either a passport or driving licence to be held, plus a large cash deposit. That’s not something I’m comfortable with, and it’s particularly disappointing given how important scooters are in Pai. I rented from another shop in town that only required a copy of ID and a deposit, which was much more reasonable. The hotel is walkable to Pai town (around 20 minutes), though a scooter is recommended. I also wasn’t informed in advance about the shuttle service from the bus station, which meant I walked in with luggage on arrival. There was also noticeable noise at night from nearby music, which did eventually stop. Overall, this is a well-run and attractive property, and I can see it being a great fit for couples or guests wanting space and privacy. For me as a solo traveller on a longer stay, it felt a little disconnected, and several small but important details took away from what could have been a much better experience."

"The room was spacious and clean, right next to the pool. During my stay, there was some loud chitchat from the guests in the next room. Breakfast was good, and the staff provided excellent service, especially the uncle who welcomed guests and took care of everything."
