"What an incredible stay! We absolutely loved EVERYTHING about Zuri. Starting from the staff - everybody was super nice, helpful and smiley. They even had a thermometer for us to buy when we needed one! The transport was waiting for us at the airport (paid 300php/person one way). The room and bathroom was really spacious and spotless. There’s plenty of space for the clothes and stuff in the bathroom. The room also has a fridge, kettle with coffee/tea choices as well as bathroom alimentaries. The resort area is amazing. The resort is places by the hill a bit away from the town, facing the sea and Coron island. It has 3 pools + 1 kiddie pool, a pool bar, cafe, restaurant, shop, ATM and more. It’s surrounded by greens. You can truly rest there. The breakfasts there were exceptional! Lots of choice, different food both western and Asian. There was also barbecue in the evenings, very tasty as well. We loved it! The only minor downsides: - you can’t really control the AC, there’s no remote, you can have it set to fan or cool and set the power 1-10 - there is no reception in the room - there are not many power outlets in the room"

"If you are looking for a cost-efficient place to stay in Coron, Coron Visitors Hotel is highly recommended. Out from the busy town center but it’s only 10 minutes walk . Rooms are clean and comfortable and WiFi is reliable. The staff are very friendly and helpful at all times. They will help with everything you need during your stay from transport, tours, laundry and cooking service. Coffee, tea and water is free."

"Hotel was nice but not the friendly bunch of staff. We were travelling with young kids and they had zero facility and flexibility for kids. Kept referring to hotel policy for everything. Worst of all they refused to serve packed breakfast for a 4 year old andgave the reason that it’s our hotel policy , ridiculous…!!!"

"My overall experience is good! I'm the type of person who prefers active travelling, so the hotel is needed literally just for sleep, shower and storing stuff. My requirements for the hotel were good proximity to the city center and nice room with hot shower. Well, the location is truly good, it's a bit on the hill so to get to the city center you just need to come down. In the same building there is a great cafe DAYO who offer 10% discount per day for the Oceana Bay hotel's guests. During our trip to Philippines, Coron was the last destination and the 4th hotel we stayed at, and that was the only one with some room facilities issues. When we checked-in it turned out there is no water in the shower, the staff truly tried to be helpful, the receptionist girl offered us to stay in another upgraded room before the problem will be solved. The thing is when one day later we had to return to the room the problem with the water wasn't solved, we had to contact staff all the time which for sure was absolutely inconvenient, especially when water could be cut off during taking shower. At that point nobody cared already, there were no offers to change the room or to offer us a discount. The siphon from the sink was leaking, so every time you wash your hands, the bathroom floor is immediately in water. The AC is truly loud, but this is absolutely normal for Philippines, as well as the absence of hair dryer. Nice thing that the hotel unlimitedly provides drinking water in the hall. The hotel also offers tours, bike rent, transfer to the airport, but I'd suggest to check it out in the city first, we've found more convenient and better price offers there."

"Perfect hotel! We booked individual overwater villas, which was an interesting experience! The rooms were clean, and there was a good variety on the breakfast menu. There are two pools, one with fresh water and one with saltwater! There's also a separate pavilion for watching the sunset or just relaxing and admiring the beautiful surroundings, set a little distance from the shore! The staff are friendly, young guys always ready to help! They greeted us with welcome drinks and helped with our luggage! (This hotel should definitely be more expensive!)"

"Nous avons adoré notre séjour au Zenvea Hotel. L’emplacement est parfait : légèrement à l’écart du tumulte du centre, mais accessible en 10 minutes à pied, ce qui permet de rester au calme tout en ayant tout à proximité. Les chambres et les équipements sont nickel, très propres et confortables. Le restaurant propose aussi bien des plats italiens que philippins, et tout était vraiment bon. Mention spéciale pour les cocktails au bord de la piscine, excellents pour se détendre après une journée d’excursion. Le personnel a été adorable, notamment avec Alba, notre fille de 2 ans, et ils ont également très bien organisé tous nos transferts. Merci à eux :) Un excellent hôtel pour profiter pleinement de Coron — nous recommandons sans hésiter !"

"stayed there for 3 nights. breakfast was alright, got a range of options; international and local. room was decent, included all basic needs and a drying rack outside your door. boat trip info are available at the front desk. however, the hotel is uphill meaning a bit of a walk every time you want to go to town/ main street"

"Overall, average hotel. I was disappointed and wouldn’t stay here again. Room: stayed 5 nights. The room has a mold smell upon entering that persisted even with the bathroom door closed. The toilet also flushed very slow and sometimes required 2 flushes. Room was spacious, and otherwise quite clean and comfortable. Quite dated and furniture had lots of dings/scratches which doesn’t really matter. Staff: I always try to be friendly to service workers because I know their work is hard. The staff I encountered seemed grossly disinterested. On the day of check in, I asked for some water (as I had to wait a few hours till check in), and was asked to pay 65 php for a bottle, but I witnessed another guest receive one for free. Not sure what happened. Also had some communication issues regarding laundry that I had done with the hotel. Perhaps the staff is overworked.. I didn’t experience the friendliness that other reviewers speak of. I do want to shout out Mou, the activities/tour coordinator! She was very friendly, and helpful in planning my activities. She helped address an issue I encountered with my tour very promptly and efficiently. Thank you Mou! Also thank you to the security guards who helped me call tricycles! I wouldn’t stay here again, nor would I recommend anyone to stay here. Suggestions: I think communication needs to be improved. If a staff member is busy, it is OK for them to let the guest know that it will be a moment. Would also recommend addressing the mold smell in room 320."

"So-so. As soon as we arrived, we were checked into a ground-floor room with a view of a wall – just a concrete wall, no light at all. We immediately asked to be moved, and the woman at reception said that's the room we booked! I opened my booking on my phone and showed her we'd reserved a room on floors 2-4. Only then, with a very displeased look, did she offer us a room on the third floor with a view of a hillside where roosters and locals live in makeshift shacks. It's a shame that neither the room descriptions nor reviews mentioned anything about the location of the standard rooms; otherwise, we would have paid an extra 2k for a room with a balcony. The air conditioning was EXTREMELY loud, creaking and buzzing so much that we had to sleep with earplugs. The bathroom smelled putrid; you couldn't stay in there for long. The safe stopped working twice because the batteries died. They replaced them twice, and they only lasted half a day. After that, we just gave up and hid everything in our suitcases. Toothbrushes were never replenished. Breakfasts were also very meager. Food is served once, meaning that once a dish is empty, it stays empty until the end of breakfast. If you didn't manage to get some, you're out of luck for the day. Fruits and muffins disappear the fastest. On the first day, we arrived an hour before breakfast ended, and there were no fruits left at all. There are only 8 sun loungers by the pool for the entire hotel, so naturally, there were absolutely no spots available. The pool isn't cleaned either; in the area where the sun hits it most of the day, the water at the bottom is murky. The only positives are the location and relative cleanliness (the bed linen was clean, and the plumbing too). Upstairs, there's a beautiful restaurant with views of the entire bay and city. The waiters are very friendly, and the food is decent, especially compared to what we ate in town, and it's relatively inexpensive."
