"Hotel Review – 3/5 Stars I had an average stay at this hotel. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were generally polite and helpful. The room was clean, although some of the furniture looked a bit dated and could benefit from refurbishment. The bed was reasonably comfortable, but there was some noise from the hallway at night, which affected the quality of sleep. The Wi-Fi worked most of the time, though the connection occasionally became slow. Breakfast offered a fair selection of food, but the menu was repetitive and some items were not served at the ideal temperature. The hotel’s location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and transport. Overall, the hotel met my basic expectations but did not provide anything particularly memorable. It is a decent option for a short stay if you’re looking for reasonable value, though there is room for improvement in maintenance, dining variety, and attention to detail."

"The overall all experience was good, staffs were friendly and helpful. We were staying at the room that has the river view, the view is beautiful because the location of the hotel is in the center. The host at the front desk who named Zixuan Yan was being very helpful, he helped us checked in the room, and made the reservation of the restaurant for us. But I really don’t recommend to dinning at the restaurant named hongtu hall, never been to a restaurant that sucks from the bottom to the top, it doesn’t matter if you have reservations that has a specific number or not, they will sit you by whoever stand the closest to the entrance, and if you don’t ask the host and keep waiting for them to call your number, you will be excluded from being sited like forever. Also, food takes like 25 to 35 minutes to come, coffee, cocktail and tea are good, but this 5 star hotel which located at Guangzhou which is known for good food that has only one kind of the hot sauce is really not professional, and it’s not even hot at all. Then comes to payment, we tried to do room charge, and filled out the information on the receipt that they provided, then they told us to wait cuz they need to check if the information is correct, so we tried to be patient and waited for like 20 minutes, I was confused how come they took forever to come back to tell us if everything is going well, then I asked the same girl is everything ok and if we can go now, she was surprised that we still sitting there and wait saying “oh, they didn’t tell you it went through?” I was pissed and didn’t say anything, but what do you mean if other servers supposed to tell me when you are the one that respond to our table. The whole restaurant is super unorganized and maybe they are popular and busy, so they don’t need to really care about every single one of us. It’s really one of the most ridiculous experiences I’ve ever had and not to mentioned is in a well known 5 star hotel. I love Guangzhou and white swan hotel ever since I was little, it’s one of the signature hotel in Guangzhou that whoever born and raised will be proud to talk about, it still are but I don’t think I will ever come back here again."

"I stayed at the hotel with my child over the weekend, specifically for the outdoor pool! So, after checking in, we headed straight there! First, I was quite impressed with the hotel staff's attitude. Before our arrival, knowing we were traveling with a child, they helped set up a small tent in the room, which my child really liked! The rooms are all above the 50th floor, spacious, and have great views! The only minor downsides, in my opinion, are that the bathroom lighting is a bit dim and the hot water takes a while to come on; I had to wait a few minutes for hot water in the shower! The outdoor pool isn't very big, and it wasn't crowded, but it's a bit of a walk to get there, and you have to pass through the banquet hall! This design seems a bit unreasonable... My child and I had already changed into our swimsuits and bathrobes in the room, planning to go straight to the pool. We didn't realize we'd have to walk through the banquet hall, where there was a wedding party setting up, with bridesmaids and groomsmen everywhere. Walking through the middle of them was truly mortifying! So embarrassing... I think if this is the case, guests should be informed at check-in; otherwise, it really detracts from the experience!"

"The staff at this Intercontinental hotel are incredibly service-oriented. From the moment my car pulled up to the lobby, I could feel the professionalism and enthusiasm of the concierge team. As I was traveling for business, I was constantly going back and forth between the hotel and my client. No matter if it was morning or evening, I always encountered meticulous concierges who would proactively open car doors, greet guests, and help with luggage. Even in the scorching heat, working outdoors, they never slacked off. They truly deserve commendation. There was a slight hiccup during check-in; it felt like the front desk agent wasn't very experienced in handling special situations, but thankfully, everything was resolved smoothly in the end. When I was checking out and waiting in line, an international staff member immediately came over and opened a new counter to process transactions, which was very flexible and ensured that guests in the lobby wouldn't have to wait too long. The breakfast was also very rich and diverse. The staff in the all-day dining restaurant were well-organized. I particularly liked the fresh squeezed juice, and tables were cleared quite promptly. As I was leaving, I chatted with a male lobby manager, mentioning that the hotel is well-maintained, but could use a renovation to add some smart amenities, such as robots for food delivery and smart toilets. Overall, the stay was fantastic, and I look forward to seeing updated hardware and the same excellent service on my next visit!"
