For the price, the hotel is really value for money. The service is excellent and the hotel staff will promptly attend to your request. The lady boss even took the trouble to notify us when she noticed that our car lights were left on when parked. The bath is also good with rain shower and strong water pressure. There is also free laundry service and the staff provided extra hangers for drying the washed clothes. The bed heater is warm enough for a good night's sleep in cold weather. Breakfast provided is decent and hot. You can also buy oxygen at a super cheap price from the front desk. Besides the room decor being a bit dated and some maintenance are needed, this hotel provides everything you need at a really affordable price.

The location of the HomeStay is excellent. It is located at the end of the street of a quieter corner away from the busy street. Just a short walk you will have access to many eateries and shops. The interior decoration is uniquely furnished with ******* style design transporting us into a real local ******* family home without the need to be physically in Tibet. The Owner of the HomeStay is very friendly and helpful. He introduced us to ******* culture and explained the significance of Animals painting on the wall and how it translates into daily life. Animals consisted of Elephant, Monkey, Rabbit and Bird. He also made us their fragrance 酥油茶 suyou cha which is good to counter Altitude sickness 高反。 Cat is also a sacred animal in ******* culture. The price of the HomeStay is very reasonable with the excellent location and service. It has free laundry service, however you need to hang them dry in an outdoor clothes line. It will dry quickly as the weather is very dry/sunny. I would highly recommend this HomeStay to everyone who likes to go to Daocheng Yading. Hygiene: Average. The bed was fairly comfortable. Environment: Parking is available. Blue light from the bathroom glass seeped into the room. I was sensitive to the light and it took me a while to fall asleep. The soundproofing was so-so; I could hear people talking outside.

Right in the center of Xiangelila town, 2min walk from supermarkets restaurants and even a Dicos! It's right on the road that will take you straight to the main entrance to Yading Scenic Area (about 6km, taxi 40RMB or 10RMB per person if carpooling). During check-in the nice ******* lady at reception upgraded my room at no extra cost. Place is clean above usual Chinese standards. If you want a heater is 5RMB per night, but the electric blanket was sufficient. Water is warm, but not scalding (personally I only take showers at +45 degrees, but it was enough to wash my face without discomfort). I was very happy with my stay so next morning I booked another night, rather than staying in Yading town. When I returned very late at night, and owing to my pickiness when it comes to food, the lady at the desk made me quick and delicious fried rice and wouldn't accept my money no matter how many times I offered. I would have stayed another night if I didn't have to leave next morning. Thanks for everything, I'll be back one day!

Personally, I think the CP value is very high 😬, you can see the beautiful scenery, and the bed is super comfortable. As long as you don’t care about bathing, you will really feel grateful to live here 😬. At night, because there is not much light pollution, you can see the Big Dipper from the window of the room. The next day, there are buses distributed at 7:30 in the scenic area, so you can go early to buy battery tickets. If you have no weight problem, you can also buy horse racing tickets, which is very convenient. Climbing to Five Color Lake may have exceeded the physical limit. My husband developed hyperresponsiveness and checked out one day early. The boss may have thought that we were not satisfied with the accommodation, so he quickly came to the room to see us. He learned that it was because we were feeling uncomfortable, and he enthusiastically helped us. We contacted the passenger bus down the mountain and helped us carry our luggage. If we have another chance to go there next time, we will still choose this hotel. A little further down the road from this hotel is a store. If you need hiking poles, you can buy them here, as well as gloves and snacks. Overall, it's a good experience.

The hotel location is about 80m away from the main tarred street. This approximate 80m is of dirt but compacted road. Walking along this stretch there is unpleasant smell of urine. After crossing this unpleasant stretch, there are lots of restaurants and convenient stores.The hotel is near to Doacheng's scenic area entrance. This hotel itself is clean, good roomsize, comfortable beds, though the furniture is a bit dated. Hotel has no restaurant and do not provide breakfast. I do think this is a value for money hotel as the branded hotels in Yading are very expensive.

I love the location and cleaning of the place. This is my 1st time in Shangrila town. The Owner is very friendly and helpful. He guided me and walk with me to buy a bus ticket even he is cannot speak English but Google translate and wechat can help us a lot. So I ended up book 1 more night in Riwa Location : Great, 5 mins walk from Riwa Bus station (hotel is next to the bus station but it’s in the backside) Room : Big and Clean Water pressure : High but slightly take time to hot (it’s so cold in April) Hotel has Elevator ! You can find a taxi around a town Plenty of food and supermarket near by I recommend this hotel

Environment: The bedding was clean. Service: Excellent. The owner patiently answered many questions. Cleanliness: Overall, the cleanliness was very good for the price. Facilities: The facilities were somewhat old; many outlets were not working.

The hotel owner provided very good service and took the initiative to change us to a larger room. The room was clean and comfortable. It is relatively close to the scenic spot. I booked a room at noon and arrived at Sangdui Town in the evening. It was just right for me to rest and adjust for a night, and then I set out for the scenic spot directly the next morning. Overall, the price/performance ratio is very high. Highly recommended!

We just need to stay overnight to take the morning flight in Daocheng. We arrived around 8pm, so didn't get to see much of the town. Good points: + The hotel has elevator, which is helpful, even though a little old. + There is a supermarket opposite the hotel, so we could buy food for our next day breakfast as the rooms didn't come with breakfast. + The staff is very helpful in booking us a taxi the next morning to go to the airport. + The room we got has no cigarette smell Improvement point: - The hot shower was working, but the water pressure was low, so it's very hard to shower without getting cold.
