"I stayed for 3 days and 2 nights, and the breakfast was incredibly generous – I could have both Japanese and Western options every day! The shared public bath was just the right size, not too big, which made it very relaxing. Everyone was kind, and it was quiet, so I slept really well."

"This is our second time staying at this hotel, and once again, we are absolutely thrilled! The location is a perfect 10 out of 10, with the bus and train stations literally just across the street. There are 7-Eleven and Lawson convenience stores nearby, a bank next door offering a great currency exchange rate, and plenty of souvenir shops and cozy restaurants around. As for the rooms, they offer the perfect value for money. Staying in a traditional Japanese-style room with a direct view of Mount Fuji is the best thing you could ever dream of! The hotel also features a wonderful onsen, which also looks out at the mountain. Everything is beautifully clean and well-maintained. The staff is incredibly polite and helpful. On the day we were supposed to check out, a typhoon was approaching, and our bus got rescheduled. The staff kindly offered us to stay and wait out the storm in a special recreation room with a TV and a ping-pong table, so we wouldn’t freeze outside in the rain. It was so incredibly sweet of them! Special thanks to the team for such amazing care! We will definitely come back again."

"Very convenient location. It's about a 10-minute walk to the bus stop for the Shinkansen or Fujikawaguchiko. The view of Mount Fuji with the swan lake is amazing and also within walking distance. The room was very stylish, but the futon was a bit firm. The shared bath was clean and tidy. There's a small restaurant on the ground floor. Breakfast was a little overpriced, but there's a FamilyMart and 7/11 nearby."

"This is the most memorable guesthouse I've ever stayed at. The auntie and uncle were incredibly kind. They picked us up from the station near the guesthouse in the evening, took us to watch the sunrise on Hirano Beach in the morning, and gave us really helpful travel advice. They even gave us their bicycles (worth 700 yen an hour) for free to ride around the lake, treating us like children. It was such a warm welcome while traveling in a foreign country. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm back at Mount Fuji 😭"

"This place is very close to Lake Yamanaka, and its off-street location makes it very quiet. If you're driving, you'll need to set your GPS to Yamanakako Post Office. The staff, especially the younger woman, was very polite and could communicate in both English and Mandarin. The whole place is a traditional Japanese ryokan with a bit of history. Don't expect it to be brand new, but it's clean and tidy, making for a comfortable stay. We booked room 102 with a garden, and we were so lucky to see a clear view of Mount Fuji on our first day! It was truly amazing to see it from our room. The only minor inconvenience was that you have to reserve a time slot for bathing. There are two private onsen rooms outside the guest rooms. When you reserve a slot, it becomes your private bath, complete with a shower area and a small indoor tub. They also provide a full range of amenities, including cleansing oil and facial wash. Overall, it's still a great choice! Highly recommended."

"Decided to stay at Lake Yamanakako for it’s quietness compared to the bustling Lake Kawaguchiko area, and Fuji Yamanakako hotel is the right choice as there is a bus stop right outside the hotel and short walking distance to the lakeside. The tatami style room was neat and clean, the staff were helpful and friendly and uses a mobile translator for conversation. The attached public bath is small but serve its purpose. There are e-bikes and normal bicycle for rental at the hotel. Small eateries are just round the corner. Would recommend for travellers looking for quiet stay near the lake and with a Mt Fuji view from the lakeside on a clear day."

"The location is first-rate, with Fuji and Yamanakako Mountain outside the window. The environment, service, and accommodation are all fine. The only problem is that the room only has a wash basin and mirror (only cold water, and the temperature outside was about 14 degrees on the day of the stay). There is no toilet or bathroom. Everything is shared. The toilet is shared by the floor (basement and 2nd floor), and the bathroom is shared in the underground hot spring area. There are only 2 showers for men. The main problem is that there is no reminder during the ordering process that the toilet and bathroom are shared. If it was written, I think we would not order this store. But the accommodation, environment, landscape, and service are all fine. "The room is very spacious, and the beds are large and comfortable. You can easily sleep separately in your own beds, or even fit two people in one. The accommodation is clean and quiet, and the staff provide good service. From the balcony, you can see Mount Fuji, though the exact view depends on which room you're in. You need to take off your shoes before entering the building; there are slippers provided, and plastic bags to carry your shoes up to your room. When you leave, you carry your shoes back down to the entrance to put them on. This might be inconvenient for those with a lot of luggage, as it can be cumbersome. The accommodation is about 2.8 km from Kawaguchiko Station. If you have a car, it's not far. The property is accessible via multiple routes, which is more convenient if you have a car. If not, you can walk, but it's a bit far, and the roadside at night is very dark. There are no convenience stores directly around the accommodation or nearby; you have to go about 450 meters to find a 7-Eleven. There's a shabu-shabu restaurant called Shabushabu Hayashi not too far from the accommodation. Exit the hotel, turn left, and drive straight for about 850 meters; the restaurant will be on your left. P.S. Before booking on Trip.com, it's highly recommended to look for more photos and reviews on other platforms, such as Google Reviews, because Trip.com often has misleading photos. Be careful not to end up with a room you don't like."
