"This hotel offers great value for money, and I always stay here whenever I visit Cambridge. Even though it's not in the city center, there are plenty of large supermarkets, a Starbucks, and restaurants nearby. The hotel breakfast is also quite good."

"The hotel is conveniently located on the right side when you exit Cambridge train station, about a 2-minute walk. The room was quite spacious, but for some reason, the water pressure was really weak. The air conditioning was nice and cold though. It's about a 10-minute bus ride to Cambridge's famous attractions."

"Nice clean hotel in excellent location with parking as a much needed bonus. Easy walk to city centre and attractions. Nice cooked breakfast. Could do with air con in lower restaurant as it was very warm in there and didn’t like the strict NO TAKEAWAY in your room policy as we sometimes like to just chill in our room in the evening after a busy day."

"Very convenient, a few minutes walk from the train station. Good value for money"

"I booked the hotel just one day before the booking. When I arrived on 10/7 at the day of hot weather warning, I found the room temperature is 28.5C and then the staff at front desk told me the air conditioning was out of order. As per their instruction, I wrote to the Assistant manager asking for viable solution and refund but no reply was got. Besides the chair in the room is full of heavy dust, likely they previously cleaned a dirty fan on the chair. I could not sleep properly. Terrible experience."

"The location is excellent, close to the park, and very convenient to the city center; the room is spacious and equipped with kitchen tools, which is very considerate. However, there seems to be some problem with the operation of the air conditioner and it is difficult to control."

"Travelodge wouldn’t have been a bad memory except for TRIP that made it a horrible one for me , I definitely sure this would be my last dealing with them. Here is my ordeal with Travelodge and TRIP.com, on arriving the hotel I discovered the hotel has no air conditioning and it was terribly hot in London, I immediately notified the hotel of my intention to check out which they agreed to and are willing to give me a refund , unfortunately the TRIP customer service kept going round and round with the situation inorder for them to make me finish my stay at the hotel even with the fact that I complained it wasn’t comfortable, to be honest the hotel did their best to ensure I get my refund but trip messed everything up, there was practically nothing they didn’t do to make sure I didn’t check out even when someone from the hotel spoke with them about their willingness to give me a refund this is the hotel Ass. Manager ( Mrs Gosia) . I had a very terrible experience with trip and it is definitely going to be my last . I couldn’t sleep most of the night because of the terrible heat at night thanks to trip. 😞"

"The staff absolutely brilliant! The hotel full of characters, the design and layout are fantastic. Certainly I love it. The room I had is at the top floor ( kind of loft ) as I booked only for one person myself. It’s gorgeous when the front and back windows open, the breeze was amazing especially when the temperature was 38 degree in a no air conditioning hotel. One view through the window is River Cam and Jesus Green. Also steps away from my daughter’s college accommodation. It’s the reason why I chose to stay here.  Only thing is that no lift  and no air conditioning for the whole of hotel, if you come here for summer, better to check weather first if you can bare the heat , and whether you are heavy travellers, I mean if you need lift up down the room with your luggages or personal health conditions. I m not heavy traveller myself this time, but my daughter was moving her uni stuff to a new accommodation, we had to move some of her stuff into the hotel room first , then later moving into her new accommodation after certain checking in time by college policy, so we were very struggling to carry the large suitcases up and down . Saying this, we d like to thank the staff from reception who offered to carry two large suitcases up to my room at the top floor when the temperature was 38 degree. As I was kind of in a shock about no air conditioning in a hotel for such high temperature and forgot to leave him a tip. I d love to do so if I visit again and see him.  Anyway thanks the hotel and  the staff very much for having me there few days. A very special thanks to the guy at the reception who helped us to get our two large luggages to my room. You are absolutely an amazing example to present your hotel. The way you treating your customers is very professional, thoughtful, kind and appreciated. Thank you."

"The room was small and there was a lot of limescale in the kettle. The service was good, with a waiter carrying the luggage downstairs. This was a great help for guests in rooms without elevators."

"I went there because the other colleges were having their mayballs and it was extremely loud. The facilities were fine although it was right beside a parking lot so it’s slightly loud at night. Also the soundproof between stories and between rooms are pretty bad I could hear people right across the hall opening and closing the doors very clearly Overall satisfactory experience, but I wouldn’t recommend for people traveling as a family."
