"The location is extremely convenient, right in the heart of the scenic area. You can sit in your room and enjoy the river view, watch the sunrise, and the bridge is right below. The hotel's decor is a bit dated, but the bathroom has been renovated. The shower stall is very spacious, and while the showerhead pressure is a bit low, it's acceptable. There's a strange, inexplicable odor in the lobby, like a restroom smell, but the room itself is fine. The guests are mainly middle-aged or business travelers in groups. The hallway is incredibly noisy, with people leaving doors open to visit each other and play cards. Starting at 7 AM, there's a lot of door slamming. If you book a room, be sure to request one far from the elevator and linen room."

"The hotel's location is great, right next to Wanda Plaza, and it's just a 5-6 minute walk to Antong Old Street, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. Taking a taxi to Duanqiao Bridge isn't far either. The hotel is relatively new, so the facilities and equipment are quite modern, and there's no lingering renovation smell. The breakfast selection is also quite generous. However, one thing really left a sour taste: for a room accommodating three people, there was only an option for breakfast for two. I thought since my company has a co-branded membership with Atour Group, I could use the complimentary breakfast vouchers. So, I signed up for the membership. But when I got to the front desk, I was told I couldn't use them because I hadn't booked the room through Atour's mini-program or app. I then asked if, as a member, I still couldn't get complimentary breakfast, and again, the answer was no. They told me I'd have to pay 99 RMB on the spot to purchase their quarterly membership card to use the breakfast vouchers included with it. Considering that this was still more cost-effective than buying breakfast for 48 RMB/day, I ended up purchasing their quarterly membership card. This was my first time staying at Atour, but such a membership service experience was truly disappointing…"

"Staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Dandong was a great experience! The location is fantastic, right by the Yalu River. Ivy at the front desk was incredibly attentive and efficient. She even gave us a small gift when we checked in. The whole process was smooth and very pleasant."

"The hotel is very close to the railway station, 10 min walk to the promenade, Broken Bridge and Piers, there’s a small park next to the hotel with dancing fountains and illuminated street at night ( looks wow!), easy to reach restaurants, stores and shops, where you can buy goods produced in DPRK. Before talking to the receptionist , better get ready your phone translator if you’re not fluent in Chinese, they didn’t seem very friendly and hospitable, the house keeping lady was more hello-hi and smiling, helped me to find the dashboard in my room to switch the lights:). By the way , the toilet surprised me with warm mode and some more functions you’ll check by yourself ( especially ladies:)). Breakfast….even for Chinese locals and hotel rating it looked poor and not delicious.Perhaps, it’s only my opinion, but I was disappointed and left the hotel restaurant half hungry.The hotel room is quite cozy and spacious, the mattress is not soft , but comfy for sleeping.Recommend it for short stay, 2-3 days, but for budget travelers, it’s not the option. "Let's start with the pros: heated toilet seats, disinfectant alcohol wipes, slippers, towels, and bath towels all come in sealed plastic bags, the bathroom has an air freshener, and the soundproofing in the bathroom is excellent, with a very comfortable showerhead. There's a small desktop trash can on the vanity. Breakfast is quite varied, and the kettle is unique. It's very quiet at night. The hotel's location is good; you can take a leisurely walk along the Yalu River from the hotel to the Broken Bridge without needing a taxi. Cons: The air conditioner in my room blew directly onto my head, and the thermostat couldn't be adjusted, so the temperature was too low. I had to turn off the AC to sleep at night. The toilet flush was too loud. The room was smaller than a typical H World Hotel room. Summary: If the room price were around 500 RMB, it would be quite good value for money. I booked it for over 700 RMB, so I didn't feel it was very cost-effective."

"Parking: No charging stations available. It's a shared underground parking lot with the adjacent residential area. You need to get an exit pass from the front desk every time you leave. There's no elevator from the parking lot directly to the hotel; you have to walk to the back entrance to reach the lobby. Check-in: The process was quick. They proactively provided extra amenities based on the number of guests. Kids even got slippers and toothbrushes. Cleanliness: Generally clean, but the place is old. There were mold spots on the comforter. The sink drain was clogged, but an engineer came to fix it quite quickly. During my two-day stay, the shower gel ran out on the second day, which indicates that amenities weren't replenished promptly after the previous guest checked out. Laundry Room: The hotel has a self-service laundry room on the 7th floor, which also offers laundry service. There are two washing machines and two dryers. However, there's a serious queue in the evenings, so I went to do my laundry and drying early the next morning. Also, I checked in on the 2nd and 3rd, but the laundry room's cleanliness and equipment check log was still dated July 25th, suggesting it hasn't been maintained since then. I also couldn't figure out how to add laundry detergent. Breakfast: You need to collect a voucher for the next day's breakfast every evening; they don't give them all at once. Extra adults cost 20 per person, and children under 1.3 meters eat free. The breakfast selection was limited to one aisle: one coffee machine, milk, orange juice, croissants, one type of small cake, toast, one fruit, vegetable salad, one soup, two types of congee, red bean buns, yam, four hot dishes, and six types of pickles. Freshly prepared items included fried eggs and Zhajiangmian (fried sauce noodles)."

"Booked 3 rooms for my parents and me. Even though we aren't IHG members, Trip.com offered early check-in, which was fantastic as we could settle in and rest right after getting off the high-speed train at 10 AM. The larger rooms we booked were spacious, and we could open our suitcases without obstructing movement. There are good restaurants nearby, and the hotel is within walking distance of the train station, which is very convenient. It's also not too far from the Broken Bridge. Breakfast had a slightly limited variety, but it was still enough to fill us up. Overall, we were very satisfied."

"The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, just a one-minute walk from Broken Bridge. There's also a pier and a plaza nearby, perfect for a boat tour to enjoy the Yalu River scenery. The front desk staff and floor attendants were all very polite and enthusiastic. The room was exceptionally clean and tidy, spotless in every corner. The interior decor and facilities were brand new and in perfect condition. We traveled with our child, and the hotel was very kid-friendly. The breakfast area even added delicious shrimp for our little one and offered some fruits they loved. The hotel also provided an extra set of bedding, anticipating our family of three. It was a truly delightful stay, adding a wonderful touch to our Dandong trip. Absolutely comfortable!"

"I randomly booked this riverside hotel during my trip to Dandong, and it turned out to be surprisingly good! The front desk staff, whether for check-in or arranging transportation, were exceptional. It was the off-season, and the beautiful lady at the front desk upgraded us to a family room, which made our stay incredibly convenient for the whole family. Upon checkout, they even thoughtfully gave us a fridge magnet and warm bottled water – yes, warm water, which was a really sweet touch. Plus, both the above-ground and underground parking lots are huge, and the hotel is right next to the newly built Sino-Korean Yalu River Bridge, offering a fantastic view and easy access to everything!"

"The room was quite large, and the bedding was clean and comfortable, not too firm. Both my parents and children were very satisfied. The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of both the Moon Island Night Market and the Andong Night Market. There's a Lawson convenience store and Pizza Hut on the first floor, and just a few steps away, turn left and you'll find the morning market. My parents loved the hustle and bustle of the place, so they got up early to go shopping and happily bought some snacks, which set the mood for the whole day."
