"Our family trip to Nanning Shangri-La exceeded our expectations. A heartfelt thank you to our concierge, Aurelia, who contacted us two days before our arrival. Understanding that we were traveling with friends, she went above and beyond to coordinate our two rooms on the same floor, very close to each other, which was incredibly convenient for us to look after each other. Since we were traveling with children, Aurelia proactively assisted with their breakfast arrangements and efficiently handled our laundry service requests later on. You could really feel the dedication to every request, and these thoughtful details truly reflect the hotel's service standards. It was a very comfortable stay, highly recommended!"

"This hotel, built in 1952, naturally boasts an excellent location, being very close to 'San Jie Liang Xiang' (Three Streets and Two Alleys) and surrounded by ample commercial amenities. However, the hotel is genuinely old and dated. The rooms appear to have been renovated, though. The hallway ceilings are quite low, probably around 2 meters. I noticed a smoky smell when I woke up in the morning, and after showering, there was a foul odor coming from the drain. For an old five-star hotel, paying 200-300 during peak season offers decent value for money. The breakfast is quite extensive with all the usual offerings. There's a dedicated building for dining, and I heard the dim sum on the fourth floor is good. I checked into my room around 4 PM, called to request some items, then went out for sightseeing and dinner. When I returned to my room at 9 PM, nothing had been delivered. I called again to inquire, and they delivered the items within 10 minutes."

It offers great value for money, perfect for both business trips and short getaways. I'll definitely prioritize this hotel next time I'm in the area, truly recommend it to all my friends!"

"The location is convenient, with a bus stop right outside and Metro Line 1 nearby, making it easy to get around to all parts of the city. My favorite place to go was MixC shopping mall. However, after a few days exploring Nanning, I found that staying in the old town area was even more convenient. A pleasant surprise was the abundance of e-scooters in Nanning, which made solo travel very easy. The hotel facilities are a bit dated. The floorboards are cracked, and the balcony door doesn't close properly. On New Year's Eve, it got quite windy, and it felt a bit like staying in Wuthering Heights. There was a disposable liner for the bathtub, but no bath salts. The laundry room had many washing machines, but they weren't very efficient. The wash-and-dry combo damaged my 'bird' jacket. It seems they prioritize quantity over quality. Take Hanting hotels, for example, they have three LG washer and dryer units that use low-temperature drying, which doesn't harm clothes and significantly reduces waiting times for guests. The hotel service was very good; the butler was attentive and followed up constantly, doing their best to meet guests' needs. However, the hotel's management style seems to focus too much on KPI assessments rather than genuine guest satisfaction. This leads to them being a bit pushy in trying to get 5-star reviews. Guests who can afford this price point likely won't be swayed by sob stories or small favors, given their discernment and financial standing. Overall, I still recommend it; it offers good value for money."

"What an amazing stay at the Howard Johnson hotel. This particular brand in the US is known as a family favourite, what this hotel in Nanjing adds is the luxury. Top floor infinity pool, gym with free weights which is not in the displayed photos and top quality service. The service is actually what made our stay the best. This hotel is located on top of a hill and does not have any close buildings which gives you unobstructed views. It’s also close to main attractions. We will be back and would highly recommend this hotel for families that need a location that’s convenient and away from the busy streets. We will be back!"

They proactively helped with my luggage, explained the hotel facilities, and even provided thoughtful tips on breakfast times and getting around. The attention to detail was evident. The bedding was soft, skin-friendly, and fluffy, making for a wonderfully comfortable night's sleep that completely relieved my work-related exhaustion. The room was fully equipped for business, featuring a spacious desk, fast and stable Wi-Fi, and plenty of charging ports, perfectly meeting my needs for daily work and video conferences – my productivity even improved. The room's amenities were comprehensive: the air conditioning had precise temperature control, the bathroom was well-separated for wet and dry areas, hot water was immediate and had stable pressure, and the toiletries were high-quality. Everything was thoughtfully provided. The hotel breakfast offered a rich variety of Chinese and Western options. The food was fresh, delicious, and nutritionally balanced, easily satisfying different tastes, ensuring I started my day energized. The public areas were meticulously maintained; the hallways, elevators, and lounge areas were all spotlessly clean. Security measures were also top-notch, providing a great sense of safety during my stay. Whether for business or a short break, this hotel is perfectly suited. As soon as you step in, the lobby design is upscale and grand, with a signature spiral staircase that creates an amazing ambiance – perfect for snapping some fantastic photos. The overall decor is chic and luxurious, with a quality feel. Jeven at the front desk was both gentle and professional. He quickly verified our information and efficiently completed the check-in process. Knowing it was my first time in Nanning, he thoughtfully recommended authentic local snacks and tourist routes. He also proactively asked about our needs and arranged a high-floor room with a great view for us. Any questions we had, he answered patiently and thoroughly, always with a kind smile. His service was perfectly balanced and truly reflective of InterContinental's professional standards. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Nanning for tourism or business!"

"This established hotel truly lives up to its reputation. They even upgraded our room for free without us asking, as they had availability. The location is excellent too; I was going to take a taxi to Sanjie Liangxiang, but then I realized it's only a seven-minute walk! The best part was the airport drop-off service! On the day of my departure, their hotel car broke down, and since I was traveling alone, they proactively called a taxi for me to the airport (which is 22km away). I'll definitely stay here again next time!"

May Pink at the front desk was incredibly gentle and professional. She handled my check-in meticulously and patiently, and even proactively shared local travel and transportation tips. Any questions I had were quickly and properly resolved. Her attentive and thoughtful service throughout made me feel right at home. Aaron, Eva, and Jonathan from the F&B department were also exceptionally dedicated. They were warm and polite during meals, promptly responded to my requests for dishes or special requirements, and ensured food was served and refilled meticulously. Their service was perfectly balanced, creating a very comfortable dining atmosphere. The hotel's environment, rooms, and breakfast were all of excellent quality to begin with, but it was the genuine and heartwarming service from these staff members that made my entire trip to Nanning especially pleasant. The five-star service truly lives up to its reputation. This will definitely be my first choice next time I visit Nanning – highly recommended!"

"This hotel truly feels like a super five-star experience; every detail was absolutely perfect. Before I even arrived, they proactively called to ask about my needs. Check-in was quick, the facilities are excellent, and both the lobby and rooms are spacious and bright. The value for money is outstanding. It's a great place to eat, stay, and have fun. On the 52nd-floor rooftop, you can enjoy Western cuisine through a group deal while admiring Nanning's night view. The swimming pool is clean and bright, and the children's pool even has warm water, almost like a hot spring, so my kids didn't want to get out. I honestly feel it's a huge step up from the international brand hotel we stayed at on our first night in Nanning. Across the street is Nanhu Park, where you can stroll along the lakeside greenway in the evening and there are even amusement rides for kids. Staying at this hotel really elevated our entire Nanning and Chongzuo trip, leaving us happy and completely satisfied. If possible, I'd highly recommend staying for two nights or more. 120 thumbs up!"
