"My first stop in Northern Xinjiang this New Year was the long-awaited Snow Lotus Hotel. Due to renovations in the VIP building, I stayed in the Welcome Building this time. To my surprise, the room was larger than expected, with new facilities and incredibly warm underfloor heating – so warm that I had to open the windows for ventilation at night. Overall, a nice experience. I was particularly impressed by the half-price Snow Lotus coffee at the first-floor café; it was absolutely delicious."

"I rarely leave reviews, but this stay far exceeded my expectations, and I'd feel bad not giving it a good rating. Upon check-in, two enthusiastic and down-to-earth young men from Xinjiang helped with our luggage and guided us all the way to our room, even recommending some great local restaurants. The room itself was truly astonishing. The bathroom alone was almost as big as some small hotel rooms. The room was incredibly spacious, huge, and super clean – very comfortable. It's a shame our trip was so rushed; we had to leave early in the morning for Sayram Lake and didn't get to enjoy such a comfortable room for longer. The breakfast selection was incredibly rich, and the restaurant staff were also warm and genuine, which made the experience very pleasant. I was in a hurry and forgot to take photos of the room and breakfast. I did manage to snap some pictures of the hotel courtyard, though – it's a garden-style hotel, and the surroundings are beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. Overall, it was an absolutely fantastic experience, far beyond what I expected. Thank you."

"The room was very nice. The soundproofing was a bit poor; the sound of the door opening and closing was quite noticeable. Light sleepers can request a suite. I booked a room with a private hot spring. The water was changed after each guest, which was reassuring. There's a ski resort nearby, very convenient for skiers. Night skiing ends at 11 PM. It's currently February 2026, considered off-season, and breakfast was delivered to the room. The Dushanzi Grand Canyon is nearby, suitable for families with children. We tried all the activities, and none were too thrilling, so you can enjoy them without worry."

"I highly recommend the Mowgli City Tancheng Hotel! It's super close to the Devil's City (Wuerhe Ghost City), making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. The Western-style architecture creates an amazing atmosphere, and there are photo opportunities everywhere within the resort. The rooms are clean, spacious, and decorated with a full Xinjiang ethnic flair. The staff are warm and attentive, even proactively sharing tips for exploring the scenic area. The facilities are comprehensive, including a parking lot and EV charging stations, and the breakfast buffet offers a rich variety of options. This was a super restorative night during our road trip through Northern Xinjiang – definitely the top choice when visiting Wuerhe!"

"The environment is very quiet, super quiet, but even in the peak season, it feels a bit desolate, the park is too big, the room is very hygienic, water is needed, the toilet is blocked, a phone call is solved immediately, customer service, butler, master are very warm and polite, but the park is actually the same as the catering package. There are very few choices and very dry areas, and Xinjiang cuisine is actually tired of eating 2-3 meals."
