"The rooms are quite new for this local island; the owner said it only opened in May of this year. The main advantage is that every room has a sea view. We compared many hotels on the island before choosing this one, and we were very satisfied with our stay. They even have Chinese food available, and you can sign up for water excursions through the owner at a reasonable price of $90 USD per person for three activities. There's a 1-on-2 dive guide, and since we're not great swimmers, we needed to be pulled along the whole time – they were very responsible. We also signed up for a trial dive; their hotel is a PADI dive shop with Chinese-speaking instructors, and we took many photos. Overall, we were very satisfied."

"nice local guesthouse right by the beach with clean, simple rooms. The staircase to the upper floor is steep, but our luggage was brought up and collected for us. Breakfast and meals with tables on the beach were very tasty. Mosquitoes were present, which is normal, but spray was available everywhere. The island itself is under construction, with building work ongoing, but the locals are very friendly. The best fruits — papayas, mangoes, watermelons, and mandarins with their own floral flavor — we had on Ukulhas."

"Ωραίο, πολύ καθαρό και άνετο ξενοδοχείο, φιλικό προσωπικό, καθημερινά νέα πετσέτες για δωμάτιο και άλλες παραλίες. Το ξενοδοχείο προσφέρει επίσης πόσιμο νερό σε μπουκάλια γυαλιού που ελαχιστοποιεί το σκουπίδι. Το μπουφέ ήταν νόστιμο και είχε αρκετές επιλογές. Μια φορά, υπήρχαν μόνο λίγες καλεσμένες (το τέλος της σεζόν) που υπηρετούσαν την αλά καρτέ και είχαν πολλές επιλογές. Η παραλία είναι ακριβώς μπροστά από το ξενοδοχείο, χωρισμένη σε λίγα φοινικέλα. Είναι ακριβώς πάνω από το κοράλλιο. Είδαμε πολλά χρωματισμένα ψάρια, χελώνες και μίνι καρχαρίες... και το ξενοδοχείο μας κανόνισε ένα ταξίδι βάρκας... όπου είδαμε δελφίνια και βουτιάσαμε να δούμε χελώνες και μαντάτες... και να φύγουμε από αυτό το μέρος με πολλές αναμνήσεις."

"Αυτό είναι ένα Ξενώνα όπου αισθάνεσαι στο σπίτι ... όπου σε κάθε δυσκολία έρχεται να βοηθήσει ... αν νομίζεις ότι ήρθες εδώ για να βρεις ηρεμία και συμπάθεια ... είναι μπροστά από τη θάλασσα και είναι πολύ, αλλά πολύ ωραίο. Χάρη στην Όουλαντ που διαχειρίζεται τη δομή μαζί με τον Αλί, ένα τέλειο προσωπικό και την παρουσία τους από προστιθέμενη αξία στη δομή. "Έπρεπε να αλλάξουμε ξενοδοχεία την τελευταία στιγμή λόγω ενός απρόβλεπτου ζητήματος, και με εκπλήσσει πολύ αυτό το μέρος, παρόλο που φτάσαμε πολύ αργά, το προσωπικό μας χαιρετούσε θερμά και μας έκανε να αισθανθούμε ευθύς ευπρόσδεκτοι. Το δωμάτιό μας ήταν σύγχρονο, εξοπλισμένο και άθικτο. Τα δάπεδα ήταν καθημερινά πλυμένα, όχι μόνο κενό, που έκανε την διαμονή ακόμα πιο άνετη. Παρά την αργή άφιξη, το προσωπικό ρώτησε για τις προτιμήσεις πρωινού για το επόμενο πρωί. Το πρωινό ήταν εξαιρετικό, με μια ευρεία ποικιλία επιλογών για να επιλέξουμε. Το προσωπικό ήταν απίστευτα φιλικό, χρήσιμο και προσεκτικό. Ακόμα και μας βοήθησαν με τη μεταφορά ταχυτήτων και μας βοήθησαν να οργανώσουμε το ταξίδι μας. Το ξενοδοχείο έχει σύγχρονες εγκαταστάσεις και κάθε λεπτομερής περιγραφή της διαμονής μας ήταν θετική."

"The place is quite a decent guesthouse. It is a bit depressing. We stayed here for two nights; it was okay, but not the best. The toilet was old and not clean. The room is dark. Although nothing is far on this island, this place is not at the beach. The crew is friendly!"

"If you want to experience the genuine hospitality of the Maldives, nothing beats spending time on one of the local islands. And boy, did we get a hearty dose of warmth, friendship and sheer authenticity in Ukulhas, specifically Ukulhas Sands. Even before we arrived, the proprietor, Saeed, had helped us make arrangements for our transport, given us tips and advice on how to make the most of our time here, and generally made getting to the island fuss-free. He personally greeted us at the pier, and took on a short but informative walk to his homely premises, which we found out later was built on his family land. So basically it was an extension of his family home, and we stayed right next to his extended family - and were pretty much treated the same. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and had all the amenities we needed including good wi-fi. It was on the ground floor so going in and out was easy, and the reception counter was just next door for convenient access if we needed anything. While staying at Ukulhas Sands, we also met Shau, Saeed's sister and an exceptional chef. The breakfast that's served at the hotel is cooked by her, and I recommend you choose a different set each day just to get a taste of her diverse culinary expertise. If you, like us, can't get enough of her cooking, you can walk down the street to her cafe, where she can cook up delicious local delights for dinner. You can also enjoy her home-made pastries and ice-cream as you wile away the afternoon. All of that is well and good, of course, but what about that most important feature - access to the beach? Well, no worries there - just a five minute walk in virtually any direction gets you to the sands - hence the name. We tried a different section of the island every day we were there. Our favourite spot was near a beach swing to the West of the island, which we accessed through an opening opposite a public running track/football pitch. The water is calmest there, and the sands aren't as filled with coral remnants as the other areas. Bring a beach towel, some snacks, your favourite book and you're all set for the day! All in all, Saeed and the Ukulhas Sands family made our first trip to the Maldives memorable, and we'll definitely stay here again if there's ever a second trip :P"

"An absolutely dreamlike island. This was our third time here, and once again we were completely thrilled. The island is a dream. Peaceful, with a beautiful (house) reef right off the beach (only 10 meters away), allowing you to explore the enchanting, colorful fish, turtles, and reef sharks while snorkeling. The only downside is the construction of three hotels, which has somewhat diminished the island's original charm. We hope that Ukulhas doesn't succumb to tourism. Fazeel and his staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and still quite affordable. We wholeheartedly recommend Sea La Vie!
