"Hotel Season Mito is a bit of a walk from Mito Station. To get there, exit the station, go downstairs past Sukiya, and follow the river. The room was clean, and the bathroom was a typical Japanese 3-in-1 unit. The front desk staff, an older gentleman, was very welcoming. In the evening, they offered complimentary sake and free popsicles, just like at Dormy Inn. It's also conveniently located near Kairakuen Garden and Senba Lake."

"A decent hotel. The service was excellent. They offered free dandan noodles for a late-night snack. The hot springs were excellent. It happened to be the Lantern Festival, and the open-air baths, enjoying the cool breeze and bright moonlight, were quite relaxing. Just be sure to pay attention to the bus schedule from the hotel to the station. When booking, I thought it would run every hour, but it turned out to be only available at 15:10. The hotel is right across from the station; you just take the pedestrian bridge down and you're there. If you have luggage, though, you'll need to take the elevator on the left side of the bridge down to street level, cross the zebra crossing, and then you're at the hotel. We visited in March when the plum blossoms were in full bloom. You can walk from the hotel through the station to Kairakuen Garden and then take the train back."
