"This hotel is really great. My friends visited in spring when the courtyard was full of spring blossoms, and now in autumn, the fruits are already on the branches. I stayed in my room alone during a rainy day and it was so comfortable and peaceful. The soundproofing in the room is excellent, and the bed and bedding were incredibly comfortable, leading to a perfect night's sleep. Compared to 'Jixia Mountain' in Chongqing, this place is much larger and has more complete facilities. The breakfast, especially compared to hotels I stayed in later, was absolutely amazing – though the variety of fruits could be improved. It would be even more perfect if the common areas weren't sometimes a bit noisy with too many people. The service is excellent, making it a hotel definitely worth revisiting."

"I stayed for 4 days. There was almost no service. I arrived at the hotel at 4 PM, and although they helped me arrange a higher floor, I waited for almost an hour, and the room they arranged was still not ready. They then switched me to another room on the same floor. The lobby was very hot, and all the temporary resting spots were directly in the sun. When I got upstairs, I was a bit dumbfounded to find my room directly facing the elevator. Oh well, I checked in. The check-in experience wasn't great. Disposable toiletries weren't replenished promptly; besides toilet paper, you literally only got them once. For a 4-day stay (2 days booked via a group deal, 2 days via other platforms), the bedside power outlet didn't work. I had to unplug the table lamp to charge my phone, and that outlet was just awful. The floor-to-ceiling window blinds were very dirty, covered in dust. For the same pre-sale price, Shangri-La offers much better value for money. Kempinski seemed forced into pre-selling, almost as if they don't want future guests. There are just too many options in Taiyuan for this price point."

"Stayed at JW Marriott Hotel Taiyuan, which ranks number one in Taiyuan on Trip.com. The doorman was extremely attentive, running over to open the car door and handle our luggage. Check-in was fast, and the deposit was only 500. The room has a great layout, featuring a central island that groups the minibar and vanity area together, with a three-section sliding door separating the wet and dry areas. The minibar is quite generous, and they provide welcome fruit and turn-down service. The breakfast was fantastic—the egg station had live cooking displays, the noodle station offered around six choices, and there was an abundance of Shanxi specialty foods. The local Taiyuan Tounao (mutton soup) was out of this world! There were twelve types of fruit of great quality, six kinds of house-fermented yogurt, and about twelve varieties of freshly squeezed juice. Highly recommended!"

"This place has its own dedicated parking, conveniently located right behind Xinzhou Ancient City, making it super easy to get around. Charging and fueling your car is a breeze. You can bring back anything you buy in the ancient city and enjoy it at your leisure in your room. The private hot spring in the courtyard was a great experience – perfect for soaking while munching on snacks and sipping tea. It even has a retractable roof with lights, so you can enjoy it at night too. The service was top-notch; they provided a pet gift package and a welcome gift, which our dog loved! The staff were incredibly responsive, charming, and generous. We'll definitely be back!"

"The view is absolutely 100 points. Facing the Yellow River and nestled against the mountain, at night, spotlights showcase Yuncheng's beautiful scenery! Now, let's have a few complaints. First, the service. They were incredibly accommodating, which is commendable. There was an evening event on the lawn in front of my room, but no one on Ctrip or at the hotel informed us. Since the event wasn't until after 11 PM, I contacted the housekeeper and was eventually offered a room change. Although we had two options—one with a broken bathtub and one with broken glass—we chose the one with the broken glass for quieter rooms. The guy who greeted us was very patient, even though we had already checked into the first room and used the bathtub. He was also very friendly! For the next two days, every staff member was indifferent and stern. While every request was met, the service was truly ”unexpected” for a Ctrip-sponsored resort. Second, the food. On the first day, I ordered Yellow River carp and found a hair. The staff didn't even apologize, but simply refunded it. I ordered other dishes. If I hadn't been embarrassed by the room change, I would have walked out. I think the poor service is still a problem of training. The requirements for waiters are too low, which really damages Ctrip's brand!"

"After several days of travel, staying here was perfect for a hot spring soak to wash away the fatigue. The night view is absolutely stunning, and the architecture is just like the Wang Family Compound. You can even walk along the city wall, which is very pleasant. I slept incredibly well – the bedding was comfortable, and the environment was quiet, so I slept right through until morning. Waking up to the sound of birds was a lovely experience. No need to worry about meals; the in-house Chinese restaurant charges the same prices as outside establishments, and the service is warm. The Wang family started with tofu, and here you can enjoy authentic Wang Family tofu with a very unique flavor. For parking or taxis, head directly to the underground parking lot. You can ask the concierge to help with your luggage. Since it's an ancient building, elevators cannot be installed, so expect to use stairs."

"I was very satisfied with this stay! The location is excellent, and it's convenient for dining and shopping nearby. The room was very clean, with no strange odors, and had great natural light. The bed was comfortable for sleeping, and the soundproofing was good, so it was quiet at night. The staff were friendly and responsive to requests. The bathroom had stable water pressure and a complete set of amenities. The overall environment was comfortable, and the value for money was exceptional. Highly recommended!"

"I chose Sheraton for my trip to Taiyuan to see Angela Chang's concert, as I saw they offered a concert shuttle service. And it turned out to be an excellent choice! UU from the hotel's concierge team was incredibly enthusiastic and responsible. The round-trip shuttle to Hongdenglong Sports Center was so convenient and made everything completely hassle-free. Highly recommended! The hotel accommodation itself was also fantastic in every aspect – clean, comfortable, and the breakfast was great too, especially the lamb offal soup. The hotel's noodle bar was surprisingly good as well. The housekeeping auntie was very thoughtful; seeing we had a baby, she brought us extra water and tissues, which was wonderful. Next time I go to Taiyuan for a concert, I'll definitely choose Sheraton again."

"It is a very close walkable distance to the airport and they also have complimentary shuttle service to the airport from the hotel Clean. Large rooms and all the amenities needed. Highly recommend this hotel"
