Stayed here for 2 nights, but in two different rooms, so I got to experience both. Overall, the hotel has a great view and a generally comfortable stay. It is a bit far from most main attractions, although it is relatively close to the railway station. There is a nearby bus station (Line 6), but getting to the Ancient Town and other popular areas is still quite far, so using Didi is often the easier option. The lobby also provides tea, coffee, and water, which is a nice touch. My first room was on the 2nd floor and felt very modern and new. The bed was especially comfortable, and everything felt fresh and well-designed — I really liked this room. My second room was on the 5th floor, and there is no lift in the building, so carrying luggage up the stairs can be quite tiring. The staff kindly helped me, which I really appreciated, especially since it was quite a lot of effort. This room had a nice view, but it felt a bit older compared to the first one, especially the bathroom. If I had to choose, I personally preferred the first room for its newer feel and comfort, but both stays were still pleasant in different ways.

When I came to Shangri-La this time, I compared several hotels and finally settled on the Sangzhu Hotel. My stay absolutely exceeded my expectations, so it definitely deserves a five-star rating! The hotel is right inside Dukezong Ancient Town, making the location incredibly convenient. You can walk to the Great Prayer Wheel for a stroll, avoiding the hassle of taking taxis back and forth, and exploring the ancient town's food and shops is super easy. The overall style is that of a charming ******* old house, and the courtyard is clean and elegant with a fantastic photo-op atmosphere. You don't even need to search for good spots; every casual snap turns out great. The biggest surprise was the room amenities. It had diffuse oxygen supply and underfloor heating, which is incredibly friendly for guests worried about altitude sickness. Sleeping at night, I didn't experience any chest tightness or headaches at all. The bedding was soft and comfortable, the bathroom clean and tidy, and the facilities weren't old in the slightest – it was a very pleasant stay. The staff were gentle and attentive; they even gave us a Hada (******* ceremonial scarf) upon check-in. They were always available for any questions and proactively recommended reliable local tour routes, helping us avoid many potential pitfalls. The breakfast selection was well-balanced, offering both local specialties and standard light meals, and the taste was excellent. Overall, the value for money is outstanding. I couldn't find any faults with the environment, service, or facilities. This is my top choice for accommodation when visiting Shangri-La, and I highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip. I'll definitely stay here again next time.

We will be back! This felt like a home away from home, except it had such a wonderful view of the lake. The host was super friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, close to the railway station, which was very handy for us as we came over from Kunming and then went back. You're close to many of the central places and with DiDi taxi, it's super easy to get around from here. We will for sure book here again; we're already planning a visit back.

Our first stop in Dali was Mo Travel, and the young lady who checked us in was incredibly patient. She gave us great advice on where to eat and what to do, and every evening we received a message from the butler about the complimentary sweet soup, which was a really thoughtful touch. The young lady also showed us to our room and meticulously explained all the facilities, including how to use the shower. The entire room was equipped with smart home features, and we could see the mountains just by opening the curtains. The room was spotless; even someone as particular about cleanliness as me found it excellent. The rice noodles for breakfast were delicious! We had them both mornings. Our trip was a bit rushed this time, and we spent all day out exploring, so we didn't get a chance to experience the guesthouse's tea room or bar. However, the overall environment of the guesthouse was fantastic. And I absolutely adored Shi Yi and Huan Xi (the dogs)! There was also a cat, but I didn't get a chance to play with it. Kudos to the young lady and gentleman who looked after us!

Dali Shuanglang's 'Three-Color Cloud River' – A healing sea-view guesthouse where you can lie down and gaze at the entire Erhai Lake. Stepping in, I was immediately struck by the stunning floral arch in the lobby. A flower wall combined with lush green landscaping frames the shimmering Erhai Lake outside the window, complete with an atmospheric swing. I booked a special king room, which has an overall rustic, original wood aesthetic. The solid wood beams and pillars, along with the distressed wooden headboard, exude quality. Warm brown wooden floors paired with soft lighting create a cozy atmosphere with a distinct Dali local flavor! The room boasts a full-panel, floor-to-ceiling window directly facing the panoramic Erhai Lake. The balcony has a comfortable lounge chair – perfect for sunbathing on a clear day, gazing at the distant Cangshan Mountain, Erhai Lake, clouds, and water!

This is by far the most comfortable hotel I've stayed at in Dali. It's designed with a beautiful garden aesthetic, and the air is just amazing. The whole hotel feels like a grand estate. The staff are so warm and attentive. The facilities are incredibly comprehensive: a book bar, a regular bar, a sports hall, a restaurant, and a gym (with tons of equipment, which I, as someone who works out daily, absolutely loved!). What I want to praise most about the room is the incredibly spacious shower area, with excellent wet/dry separation. I really love this room type. The breakfast selection is rich and varied, and they even have卡通餐盘 (cartoon-themed plates) – so thoughtful for families traveling with children!

Service: The front desk staff were very friendly and patient, listened carefully to my questions, and answered quickly.

The location of the Erhai Sea is very comfortable, there are singers singing, listening to the song in the evening, watching the sunset, the floor-to-ceiling windows face the lake, the distant mountains and blue sky, the view is wide and not crowded. The decoration of the store is retro and simple, the tables and chairs are loosely placed and will not be noisy. The outdoor water-front seat can blow the lake breeze, and the green plants are very beautiful. Sitting quietly and watching the lake in a daze is particularly relaxing, the environment is clean and quiet, suitable for sitting in a leisurely place, the viewing experience is really good. When you come to Dali to live in the sea view hotel, I recommend their home 😊😊

This beachfront trip led me to an absolutely perfect sea-view B&B, and the overall experience totally exceeded my expectations! The cleanliness was impeccable; there was no musty smell upon entering, and the bedding was pristine, fluffy, and felt dry and hair-free. The entire floor and all the corners were wiped down spotlessly, and the bathroom counter had no standing water. The location is superb, just a few steps to the beach, with plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, making sightseeing incredibly convenient. The owner and staff were exceptionally thoughtful, sending parking and travel tips in advance, and were always on hand when needed. The room itself boasts a huge private balcony with a leisure table and chairs, offering direct, breathtaking sea views. The bathroom features standard wet/dry separation, with a clearly defined shower and vanity area, so the floor dries quickly after use. All the appliances and furniture are brand new, making for an incredibly comfortable stay. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a sea view!

Our 'butler service' means you get a dedicated butler providing one-on-one service from the moment you check in. They'll contact you in advance to confirm your arrival time, arrange shuttle pick-up, and send friendly reminders about breakfast times and other important notes via group chat. Facilities: The hairdryer's airflow is really weak, not even as strong as the wind off Erhai Lake! The bedside lamp isn't working, but everything else is okay. Cleanliness: Clean, tidy, and no strange smells – pretty good. Environment: The space is large and bright. My only complaint is the view from the window isn't great. Service: The service is excellent; anything we needed was delivered to the room very quickly, and the breakfast tasted good. Honestly, the view from the guest room window is quite disappointing.
