"We wanted to have a break from Dublin and came over to Portmarnock for the nature, beach and see a friend in nearby Malahide. The hotel has everything that you need, all in one location - the beach is stunning, many locals swim daily, the long coastal walk with “Bahamian” style white sand beaches, the Martello towers and heritage of castles/stone walls, restaurant and bar in the hotel itself. We had a great experience at check in, loved our room and view, plus very easy to explore and walk along the coast. There’s a sauna and self service dog clean in the car park which is great!"

"My stay at the Abbey Hotel in Dublin presented a mixed experience, with both positives and a few inconveniences. The hotel boasts an excellent location, being very close to the city center and many major attractions, making most sightseeing spots accessible on foot. There's a shopping mall right across the street, and numerous restaurants and bars nearby, which was super convenient for shopping, dining, and evening outings. However, its distance from Connolly Station is a bit of a drawback; it's about a 25-minute walk, which can be quite a struggle if you're carrying luggage. For this reason, I'd rate the location 4/5. The overall cleanliness of the room was good, and the daily-use spaces were well-maintained, earning a 4/5 for tidiness. A point to note is that our room faced the main road, and the soundproofing wasn't great. Outside traffic and street noise were quite audible, which might bother light sleepers. Furthermore, every time we wanted to enter or exit the hotel, we had to ring a doorbell and wait for the staff to open the door. This was less convenient than being able to use a key card to come and go as we pleased, so the facilities get a 3/5. On the positive side, the front desk staff were incredibly friendly. Their attitude was always pleasant when assisting us with opening the door or handling any accommodation requests, making us feel very welcome. I'd give service a perfect 5/5. Overall, this hotel is ideal for travelers who prioritize a central location, as well as easy access to shopping and dining. However, if you're sensitive to noise, concerned about nighttime disturbances, or prefer unrestricted access to and from the hotel, these are factors you'll want to consider before booking."

"Really happy with this hotel. Booked it last minute when I was late for my ferry and did not want to travel during the night. The room was really clean and tidy. Receptionist Mauricio (?) was very pleasant and helpful. As I was not planning to stay in Dublin overnight, I had no toothbrush. I did not think that Travelodge can provide one, but there is no shame in asking. Hooray! I got a disposable dental kit, that really made my stay much more comfortable. The hotel has a bar and a restaurant, it does look much more posh that an average travelodge. I wanted some ice for my drink at the room. Got a glass full of ice at the bar with no problem. The only downside could be if you are a couple and travelling with 2 or more large suitcases. The room is on a smaller side. Very happy with my last minute decision to stay at this hotel."

"Great location! Super close to the city centre , Jameson and the Guinness experience. Good local pubs for food also and close to supermarkets like Tesco. Would stay again when in Dublin! Staff friendly also ＜3"

"Room great needs a freshen up but all ok. Breaky was amazing as always. Receptionist is amazing and so helpful. The location is perfect for me to shop for history visiting family. I travel from Spain and so easy on the bus from the airport ."

"Staff was very friendly in the reception, we paid not much to leave our luggage before our flight, location is super well located. The room is quite small, but because of price in comparison with what is offered around was really good. Definitely will not stay more than 3 days as not even windows possible to open."

"In order to facilitate self-service check-in, there was no staff at the hotel. There was only the self-service check-in process, email and phone. However, I had never received an access code before. No one answered the phone and emailed. Finally, other guests came back and let me in. I kept calling and waiting. Finally, one of the three calls was answered, but I didn't know the reservation information, so I kept waiting. Finally, half an hour later, I received a reply email. I waited for an hour just to get in. If you don't have this service capability, don't do self-service check-in."

"Excellent! The front desk staff was very good. The apartment didn't have toothbrushes or slippers. You can ask for a toothbrush at the front desk, but there are no slippers at all. The breakfast was quite rich for the price, and they even had juice. Overall, the service was great."

"Beautiful Irish run hotel The room was spacious and lovely Breakfast and lovely great variety Food in the bar lounge was great Room service very good and friendly Stefania welcomed us ar reception and we got an early check in and late check out when asked. Mateus was very helpful and police also Uros was brilliant, super nice and friendly he organised a taxi for us and brought our luggage to the taxi. He was extremely professional at his job and a great asset to the hotel. He was top class throughout our stay. We were well looked afterahd we will be bank again soon Regard nathleen & family"
