The place is ok .. not very clean, not very dirty .. just a bit noisy because there is a badminton court, right .. because I have a newborn .. but overall it's ok, no complain because there's no hotel holiday, right

The entrance to the facility can be easily found following the dirt road connecting long beach to coral bay. The road starts on the further side from the pier, shortly before Seahorse Divers. Coming from long beach, you just need to walk about 50 meters to get to the entrance. The facility itself is quite large and extends from the bottom to the top of the eastern side of the hill. Depending on your room you might have to walk uphill for a couple of hundred meters. Contrary to what I read in some reviews, at the moment there is no shop, no restaurant and there are no tours offered within the compound. Nevertheless this is not an issue due to the proximity to both beaches where you can find all needed restaurants and services. On the positive side I want to highlight the size and the cleanliness of the room. Very important is also the fact that the mosquito nets are in good shape and inside the room I didn't encounter any mosquitoes at all. The resort itself is kept in a good shape, the maintenance team works daily on minor building renovations and path cleaning. Locals also seem to appreciate the ironing station behind the reception, next to a large common area where it's possible to connect to the internet as WiFi doesn't work in the rooms more uphill. On the negative side the resort strictly enforces a 3 pm check-in policy, which is quite unfortunate as many guests come with the first boats in the morning. Moreover many rooms lack air conditioning. While this is clear at the moment of booking and the fans are doing a decent job, temperatures in the rooms stay high even during the night.

Most amenities were good, except the hotel provides coffee, tea and sugar but no creamer is available It’s hard for someone like me who don’t drink black coffee 😆

Stayed in a single bedroom here for a short trip and honestly, for the price, it exceeded expectations. The room was compact but well-organized—clean sheets, decent mattress, and surprisingly quiet at night, which made a big difference for sleep quality. Air-conditioning worked perfectly, and the Wi-Fi was stable enough for basic use. The bathroom was simple but clean, with good water pressure and hot water available. Don’t expect luxury amenities, but everything essential was there and functioning. Staff were polite, check-in was quick, and there were no unnecessary complications. Location-wise, it’s convenient—easy access to food and transport, which adds a lot of value considering how affordable it is. Overall, if you’re looking for a cheap, no-nonsense single room that delivers on cleanliness and comfort, this place is a solid choice. Not fancy, but reliable—and that’s exactly what you want at this price point.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist. The hotel facilities were great, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing. I am very satisfied with my experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to others. Cannot complain at this price! The location is superb, right in the heart of Chinatown. The staff were friendly and helpful too. Our bus was only at night, and they kindly allowed us to leave our luggage at the hotel while we went out. The cleanliness was better than expected, which was a pleasant surprise. After a tiring day of sea activities, we were able to come back and get a really good night’s sleep. Overall, great value for the price! I would also recommend taking a walk to Pasar Payang in the morning to enjoy some local food and snacks. Be sure to try the keropok — it’s particularly worth trying!

Highly recommend! We stayed near Block B and it was super close to Pasar Payang. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. The room was incredibly spacious, just like in the pictures. The bed was very comfortable. It had a fridge, cups, coffee, a heater, and an iron. Everything was fantastic. If I come back, I'll definitely stay here again. The room had a lovely wooden theme and was beautiful. Sorry, the pictures aren't relevant because I forgot to take any of the room, but it really was exactly like in the photos. The staff were also very kind; they even helped me find my lost turtle keychain. Thank you! 💗

Overall, our family was satisfied with our stay for 3 nights at Melur Inn KT. Room for family was spacious and comfortable, bathroom was large and clean with amenities such as towels, water heater and bath soap. Other facilities such as kettle jug, coffee, sugar and creamer are also provided. The hotel's position is also strategic, which is close to Tok Jembal mosque, UniSZA, interesting dining, resort beach and also shopping. the parking facilities are also quite large provided behind the hotel.it's just that the hotel has no elevator facilities and the family room is on the 2nd floor,probably not suitable for the old people and individuals with other health problems.

Stayed for 3 nights. Overall, this place has so much potential. The kampung ambience is so peaceful and inviting. The old Istana (palace) transformed into rooms gave the kampung lifestyle feels. Just walking distance to the beach and the scenery of the whole resort is tranquil. Nevertheless, suggest to clean and restore the pond around the resort. Re-do the whole landscaping around the resort and plant all the local flowers, fruit trees and herbal plants. And to install more solar lights. With this new facelift of the whole sorroundings, will surely invite repeating guests. Shoutout to the friendly staffs too. (P/S: suggests to invest on bed bug spray for each room too)
