Lots of small cockroaches, everywhere in the room and kitchen, but couldn't find the source. It seemed like our unit hadn't been occupied for a long time because I kept sneezing when we first came in, and I had to clean the dust myself. The view is beautiful, truly beautiful. Everything else is okay and just like the photos. There's also laundry available, and many restaurant choices nearby. It's just that the kids were scared by the small cockroaches.

Room and deco of the hotel is very beautiful. Got a room overlooking the golf course which is nice. However, hotel is by the roadside and cars and motorcycle are travelling non stop. If you are a light sleeper, this room category is not for you. We are light sleepers and could not sleep the whole night. Maybe rooms overlooking the other side might be better. No aircon in the room. Eventho we open the balcony the whole night. We still find it a bit hot coz the fan is placed in the middle of the room not below the bed.

Thank you to the management of this resort, especially Mr. Shahidan, who is friendly and always checks if there are any shortcomings. Mr. Jalil also was very friendly and ver2 helpful in many matters, from the registration process, arranging our room even though we arrived earlier than the check-in time, and even lending me a ball to play at the beach and as well as other matters throughout my family’s stay until we checked out. At the café,Mr. Shahrizal provided useful information and assisted us with the good breakfast arrangements, This is my third time staying here. There have been many improvements made by the management based on the feedback I gave during my previous stays, and I am very satisfied. I will definitely come again in the future. I would also like to thank the other staff, especially the security guard who helped me with delivering our bags to the room. The resort atmosphere is calm and clean, the café is beautiful and comfortable, and the facilities provided—such as the gym, kids’ pool, and clean restrooms—are excellent. The beach is also peaceful and beautiful, perfect for relaxation. Good job and Highly recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

First of all, I want to thank every staff member at Tunamaya for their hospitality, professionalism, and attentive service to guests. Secondly, I'd like to express my gratitude to the wonderful chefs who cooked absolutely everything deliciously! Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy fresh, grilled seafood! Thank you for the themed evenings; you truly aimed to surprise us, and you succeeded! I wholeheartedly wish you prosperity and many more grateful tourists. Now, let me tell you about our stay. A vacation at Tunamaya isn't what you'd call a typical beach holiday, as popular with Russian tourists. But, of course, people don't come to Tioman for that anyway. The nature here is incredibly beautiful, with views of the jungle and mountains – every time I walked to the restaurant from our bungalow, my heart soared with gratitude and awe at the beauty! It truly is a vacation for the soul! The resort also offers diving and snorkeling equipment, a glass-bottom boat, and kayaks. There's an outdoor sports area where my husband exercised daily. And, of course, the cool, scenic poolside overlooking the sea was a great pleasure. We also discovered a beach near and beyond the second, currently inactive pier. It's perfectly fine for swimming in clear water and taking beautiful photos. The views of the massive boulders and monoliths reminded us of the Seychelles, only the sea there was always calm. My husband and elder son also hiked through the village to the waterfall, bringing back many beautiful photos and impressions! As for suggestions – I'd recommend sprucing up and beautifying the grounds. Some railings along the beach path are broken, and there are old pieces of furniture lying around. I also wasn't very pleased with the condition of the toilet near the pool; I sincerely hope you find the means to do some cosmetic renovations there. A pleasant bonus of being on the island was encountering the mischievous monkeys and monitor lizards. Despite the repellents, they found ways to roam the grounds, and that's wonderful because we are guests in their home! They are the true aboriginals of Tioman. Strategic location. Close to Kea Farm. You can just walk to Kea Farm. Saves money on parking and avoids the hassle of finding a parking spot. Would repeat again.

The check-in experience was horrible, was informed by estate management that room was not ready even at 4:30pm (chk in supposed to be 3:00pm). Trip.com has to step in but seems the communication between Trips.com and estate management ((Stonez7) does not go well. I somehow managed to get into the unit at 5.00pm after few round of close follow-up. The room was cosy but cleanliness could be improved. Dust still found on the floor. The shower temperature is hard to control. In most cases, we have to bathe with cold water. We were asked to leave the unit by 11:00am on the final day. Even though we have been informed during check in that they have extended our check out time by additional 2 hours. This is totally a big disappointment as seems there has been miscommunication here and there. Anyway, plus point is that the unit come with balcony and view is nice. We are fortunate to see double rainbow from our balcony.

Overall, we had a pleasant family stay at Holiday Villa Cherating. The room was clean and comfortable, and there was ample parking space available. The kids really enjoyed the water playground, although it is on the smaller side, and the main swimming pool was great as well. Breakfast was simple with limited options, but reasonable and expected for a 3-star resort. Recommended for a short family getaway!

Great place to stay for families. Big and spacious with many playgrounds, pools and even personal jacuzzi at the balcony. Downside is it’s a bit of a distance to Genting highlands. Especially if you have a stroller. Will be great if there’s a travellator along the link bridge. That will entice families with elderly and young kids to stay. Good to also have daily basic cleaning like clearing trash instead of having to inform the hotel staff on a daily basis.

The door lock was a bit faulty, it wouldn't close securely and kept making strange noises at night, disturbing my sleep!

Solid, comfortable stay in Kuantan – let down slightly by bell service and bathroom maintenance. We had an overall good stay at AC Hotel Kuantan and would happily return in the future, though there are a couple of areas where housekeeping and front-of-house service could be sharpened up. The Good: * Comfort & Sleep Quality: The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, making for a restful sleep. The shower itself had fantastic water pressure and reliable, consistent hot water. * Breakfast Spread: Breakfast was more than decent with a solid variety. Having a live egg-making station and daily nasi lemak was a highlight, and the teh tarik was a very welcome touch to start the morning. * Location: While not situated right in the dead center of town, the location is very convenient—getting to local attractions and dining spots is quick and straightforward. Room for Improvement: * Bathroom Maintenance: Housekeeping needs to pay closer attention to detail in the bathrooms. In Room 404, there was visible mold along the shower tile grout that needs a thorough deep-clean. * Bell Service: Front-of-house luggage assistance lacked proactive hospitality. On both arrival and departure, the bell porter simply asked if we needed a trolley; when we said no, he offered no further help with our bags at all. Despite these hiccups, the essentials—comfortable bedding, great shower pressure, and a tasty breakfast—made for a pleasant stay overall.
