"Totally in love with this hostel, breakfast is buffet style and they change some of menu daily :) The share bathroom is clean and maintained properly, u may use ur own lock to lock your locker securely. Each bed are covered with curtains :) Highly recommended."

"This hotel is situated slightly back from the beach bars which are only a few minutes stroll away. Its on a busy road and traffic noise can be heard from the apartments that face the road, ear plugs are provided both traffic did die down late evening.  The rooms are spacious and clean with air-conditioning, they do not have an elevator but bags were taken up by the porters who gave a great service. The staff are very helpful and polite, go that extra step to help you, they have a nice bar and good seating area with some seating along side the swimming pool. Break fast was good with plenty of choice with Ann egg station to where you could order your desired omelet. Wifi was also qood with plenty of plugs down stairs in the lounge. The beds were comfy but made a clattering noise when changing sleeping position, its only my opinion but to me the pillows were too large, would preferred slimmer pillows. I would recommend this hotel if your going to stay in El Nido, great location not near any boom boom bars the are alive till the early morning, what our stay at this hotel special was the staff that made our stay most welcome and all being on first name terms."

"I really liked the hotel and the beach itself. There are sun loungers, showers, toilets, and a small pool within the glamping area. Vendors aren't allowed on the property, so you won't be bothered. It can be a bit noisy in the room in the evenings/at night due to nature sounds – some might not like it, but we found it pleasant to fall asleep to. The mountain view from the room is beautiful, but if you look down, it's a bit of a swamp and a parking lot – not so great. Breakfasts are modest, machine coffee costs extra, and the fruits and vegetables are bland (except for the mango). Food and drink prices aren't cheap, but everything is good quality. Right outside the fence on the beach, there are several cafes, shops, and massage places. Upon check-in, we received some welcome gifts: 2 bottles of water, apples, nuts, instant noodles, and a shell necklace! And upon check-out, we got some small pastries. Transfers to/from El Nido airport or to the town center cost 1800 PHP for a minivan. Pros: Large, nice-looking rooms, plenty of towels, spotless white linens. Cons: Weak shower pressure, no handheld showerhead (only a rain shower), and no place to dry clothes."

"This place is truly a little corner of paradise. It’s almost impossible to put into words how much we enjoyed our stay and how special this place is. The owners — an Englishman and a Filipina — are the perfect mix of warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail. They genuinely go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable and are happy to accommodate almost any request, always in such a natural and unobtrusive way. The rooms are comfortable, spotless, and beautifully maintained. The air conditioning is quiet, the mattresses and pillows are incredibly comfortable, and everything you might need is provided — right down to shower gel and a toothbrush. The hotel is still relatively new and everything is in excellent condition. There are free SUP boards for guests, and you can also rent a scooter from the hotel if you feel like exploring El Nido for the day. And then there’s the food… that deserves a review of its own! Everything we tried was absolutely delicious, and the cocktails were fantastic. You can order fresh seafood, or even buy it yourself and have the team prepare it for you. My husband loves grilling, so we arranged to get some meat and had our own little BBQ evening. One of the staff members was genuinely excited to help and learn how it’s done — such a small moment, but incredibly warm and touching. My husband also wanted to go fishing, and the local fishermen were happy to take him along. Unfortunately, we simply didn’t have enough time during our stay, but knowing that such experiences were so easily arranged made the place feel even more special. That’s the beauty of a small boutique hotel like this. Unlike huge resorts, they can actually respond to the individual wishes of their guests and make you feel personally cared for. At the same time, there is absolutely no pressure to socialize. Everything is beautifully balanced: if you want to chat, there’s always someone happy to talk to; if you want privacy, you’ll have complete peace and seclusion. It truly feels like your own little paradise. If we ever return to El Nido, we will absolutely stay here again. Thank you to the wonderful owners and the whole team for such a memorable stay. The staff are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to make guests feel at home, offering helpful tips about El Nido and arranging tours with ease. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with a simple but cozy design. The common areas are well-maintained, and the on-site restaurant serves delicious food at fair prices. Location is another big plus—right in the heart of town, close to the beach, shops, and nightlife, yet still relaxed enough to enjoy downtime. What really sets this hostel apart is the sense of community. It feels more like staying with friends than just booking a bed. For budget-conscious travelers who want both comfort and connection, Happiness Hostel is a perfect choice."

"Hotel Cuna is a solid 3-star. The rooms are simple, no frills, but clean and generally fine for staying in El Nido. The staff is a big plus for the hotel: Filipinos are very kind, welcoming, and eager to help. It's worth noting that some rooms face a farm where chickens and roosters can crow loudly at night – that was my experience. My request to change rooms directly with the hotel was unsuccessful, and contacting them through Trip.com also yielded no results. The main advantage of the hotel is its rooftop restaurant and bar: the food is very tasty, and there's a stunning view of the city and the sea, especially at sunset. For the rooftop restaurant and the views alone, the hotel is definitely worth considering."

"Kung naghahanap kayo ng Friendly Budget dito na kayo affordable, Mababait ang mga staff maganda rin ang mga room malinis lalo na sview pag nasa labas kayo nakakarelax 10/10 talaga if irate ko ito"

"Our room was lovely. The location was perfect and exactly what we were looking for—away from the crowded town, making it peaceful and serene. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. My only suggestion would be to provide a few more rugs or floor mats to wipe our feet, as we only had one and the room can easily get wet after island hopping tours. The shower drain was also a bit slow, but it wasn't a big deal. Other than that, we had a wonderful experience at the resort and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting El Nido."

"This hotel is perfectly adequate for a stay. The main draw is the fantastic sea view from the panoramic windows or the balcony. There are almost no issues with the room itself, except for the floor (some tiles are coming loose) and the bathroom, where there's occasionally a sewer smell. Otherwise, everything is good. For swimming, it's better to go to Vanilla Beach (to the right of the hotel), where you'll also find cafes. And for the best sunsets, head to the very end of Las Cabanas beach (to the left of the hotel)."

"The sea at Nacpan in the early morning is a blue-grey colour, not dull grey but textured, almost like matte glass. The light comes slowly over the mountains and spreads across the water. I joined the free morning yoga class the resort offers, on the beach, which was very comfortable. One small frustration: not enough storage in the villa. Not many shelves or hooks, so camera gear and clothes had nowhere to go. The suitcase stayed open on the floor the whole time, which gets awkward in a small space. If you’re bringing a lot, just know that going in. The room has a coffee machine and mini fridge, but I still liked walking to the restaurant. Head out before sunset, lie on a sun lounger, have dinner, then wander back slowly. The stars at night were more than I expected."
